Cannot use WLAN on satellite L30 - WXP

Hey

I bought satellite L30-105 PSL33E today and installed Windows XP on it. But now I have this problem that he won't? t install the wireless adapter. In Device Manager, I have an Ethernet card but I can not install. I tried to use all the drivers on this side, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

Hello

do you know what wireless adapter do you have? And you are sure that you have a card installed wireless (sorry for the stupid question)?

It would be useful to know what wireless chipset is on your installed wifi card, then we can find the suitable driver for your wireless card.

Would appreciate some comments that we can solve this issue.
See you soon

My new P100-240 connects to the internet via my router Belkin MIMO cable and wireless without problem if I enable WEP security. If I enable security either 64 or 128-bit, then while the router connects to the laptop I can't access the internet, using the repair option does not work either!

So now when you use the wireless installation to use no security on my network, or else I am unable to browse the internet. It is not ideal because you never know who wish to give use a connection high speed free wireless!

    Hello

In this case the WLan driver update should solve these problems.
My brother could not connect to the internet using the WiFi network at home.
The signal from the router was strong enough, but IE did not show all Web sites.

I updated the driver and it was the turn of magic ;)

    Hi Paul

In my opinion, you should first of all control the functionality of your wireless adapter. If you are able to see your local WLAN card works properly. In this case this problem may be due to wrong settings.

Do you use WLAN WXP parameters or a WIFI client?

  • Satellite L500-19Z - cannot use WLan because the driver has been removed

I accidentally uninstalled REALTEK WLAN driver and now I can't use the wireless installation.
I tried to use system restore to recover before the uninstall, but the system restore won't restore (tells me that anti-virus prevents it probably, but I stopped my loading anti-virus, so this isn't the problem).

I then allowed Windows 7 to find the material and it re-installed the driver, but I still can't use WLAN.
Anyone got advice to help me get out of the mess I made for myself?

    Hello

To my knowledge, this laptop supports the Realtek RTL8191SE WLan card 802.11bgn.
You can find the Wlan driver here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/?page=downloads

I think that it shouldn't be a big problem to get this working again ;)

  • How to enable the WLAN on Satellite L30?

I don't know how to activate my Satellite L30 (PSL33A-00800F) to work on a WI - FI connection. Windows XP - Home page.

On the basis of the computer, he said, 'Wireless LAN withoutW/L'

Toshiba tell me that it is able to receive a WI - FI connection but not set up to do.
Toshiba tell me to download one of the two pilots of a European site Toshiba or use a dongle.

I can't find the drivers for this system on Toshiba Europe sites.

    Anyone know what to do?

    Chris

    What L30 you exactly (L30 - xxx)?
PSL33A is probably not European cell phone model and I can not find on European support page to see what WLAN card is inside.

Anyway, WLAN drivers you can download from Toshiba WLAN Portal under http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/

  • A few questions using Linux on Satellite L30-10 x

Sorry to bother you people, but I had this satellite L30-10 portable x.

I try to make it work with my o/s preference, what is Linux (or any unix-based), for which the goal, I need to know what's what in there, IE.

    1. how chip works for the compatible softmodem V. 90 - 92?

    2. What is happening with everything that controls usb ports?

I found a live-cd that makes the USB ports of the work, which is the work of disks usb-Clerkship on them, so I'll solve this one thanks to study how it does, and 2 of the 3 live-cd I used seems to have the graphics (up to new problems when I try for different resolutions..)
but that leaves the question of the modem.

I haven't tried something more, like the WiFi network, pc-card (I hope that ethernet works... it is usually without much trouble).

There is also a good question on the cd/dvd drive, that is, it is declared as a "super multi" one (whatever that means) and a 'double layer' one and nobody promised anything about burning DVDs with it (the seller certainly didn't), but the docs online here @ toshiba - Europe.com say about the L30 series it is supposed to be able to burn 8 , 5 GB, so it it true finally on the specific cd/dvd driver 10 x model or what?

I understand that many people would disagree with the use of linux on a machine designed for a specific software company,
but I still believe that the manufacturer of this product (the satellite laptop L30-10 x) should tell customers what's in it, period.

In short, if you can not help with my questions above, please tell the best, you know who I should ask, which is supposed to be responsible for what is in this anywhay for laptop, a mailing address or e-mail, something to try for more information.

    Thanks in advance,

The RTL8101 / NCDIS6 resembles the network card.

    What A300-xxx you have exactly?

  • Impossible to use WLan on Satellite A10 PSA10A

Hello. I can't get my wifi working. I look in Device Manager and that you have no c no matter what wireless network connection.

    does anyone know if

    Toshiba Satellite A10
    Model PSA10A-3V1KK number
    Serial number: 54059282

even had a built-in wireless network card.

There is nothing in the pc card slot. When I turn the communication wireless turn on, the light is not on.

    Hello

The WLan card is not available or only as an option on some laptops Satellite A10.
This means that the laptop has been delivered without WLan minPCI card but it could be possible to improve it with the internal wireless Mini-PCI network card!

Due to your description, I assume that your laptop is ready WLan but the card is not installed, and therefore you cannot connect to any wireless LAN.

Install the good minPCI card Wlan on this laptop and you will be able to use the WLan ;)

Wireless network cards compatible minPCI are:
    PA3212U-4MPC (Agere 802. 11b)
    -PA3273U-2MPC (802. 11a / b).

  • Cannot use new my Satellite A40 DVD player

I took on the laptop's DVD-ROM drive and replaced it with the DVD - RW but the laptop it will accept only before the start of WXP. Power gets through to open the drive, but then comes with error # 1 IDE error message. I know from reading some of the other threads that it tells me that the laptop like the drive. Is it possible to get this problem?

I went into the BIOS, but it won't let you change whatever it is a value Exchange. He wants me to change something with the readers.

    Help!

IDE1 error occurs if you use the non compatible drive. Unfortunately in the BIOS, you cannot change anything. I think the power is not the problem, but the reader cannot be accepted because the assignment of pins is not the right one.
I don't know who told you to buy this drive, but list of all compatible optical disc readers, you can find in the document of user manuals.

  • Unable to connect to secure the WLAN with Satellite L30

I just bought my laptop L30 and use that in a few hours. I have a frustrating problem that was annoying me:
I have a model number of the wireless modem/router (+ 2 years) belkin F5D7360 - my wireless network. My router is configured with a SSID and configured to use the 11g and 11B modes.

Connect to my network without wire in unsafe mode works very well. So it's not a thing g 11 or 11 b...

As soon as I turn on security: WPA-Personal, PKIP encryption - the machine does not connect. Windows detects the network but when I try to connect - it returns an error saying authentication has expired - check the network settings. Several attempts that windows automatically diagnose and repair the problem does not work.

I've rechecked, triple checked all the setting. Even changed passwords. Still no joy.

It isn't the network installation - as when I connect with my Belkin 54g PCMCIA card - it works fine. Of course, I want to use the built-in... wireless and I want my network to be sure.

To basic family support of Windows Vista Edition that comes with the package.

I'm quite a techie, but this is my first experience with Vista - and Toshiba laptop.
Currently, I'm stuck and eager to solve this annoying problem.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

Have you noticed the same behavior, use a WEP encryption? I have goggled a bit, but I wasn't able to find any info on this Belkin router.

Please try to reboot the router and try to connect WLAN again.

  • Screen flickers if I use Wlan on Satellite L20-101

    Hello!

I started to use my WiFi card about 3 weeks ago. My laptop has a year now. My problem is that when I use my card WiFi (Intel 2200BG) screen flickers sometimes. It is not very often (every hour or two) but iritates me.

Does anyone has this problem before. All solutions would be apreciated. I have no other problems with my laptop.

Very strange. Waves of perhaps a wireless LAN is a bad influence on the screen?
It is relly very strange because the problem sometimes, but not always.

Are you sure that this happens when you use the WiFi network or maybe it's a problem general screen at 100%. Sometimes the screen begins to blink because the inverter is faulty FL.

Have you tried to update the graphic driver WLan driver? Do it!
You should also compare the BIOS installed on your portable computer with the BIOS on Toshiba page. Maybe an update will help you. But be careful. Be sure you use the good BIOS and the right update procedure.

  • Cannot use TVout Option satellite 2450-201

I formatted my laptop last month and I can't use more of the TVout option in display-> advanced properties.
The possibility of using the TVout is gone. I've updated with new display drivers, Nvidia Gforce4 420 is currently installed ok.

    How can I solve this?
What should I install to use the TVout option?

    Thank you

I advise to use the Toshiba Recovery CD. You will find that also some preinstalled expeditious.
After OS install from the recovery CD option should be available

  • Fan kicks hard enough every minute on Satellite L30

    Hello

I use a laptop Satellite L30. One thing that I find annoying is that the fan is used strong enough every minute or so, then quieted down for a while. Using a temperature monitor that looks like the fan is used when the temperature exceeds about 50, then slows down when it falls. When the temperature is less than 45 fan stops in total which causes the temperature to rise quickly above 50.

I want to change power management settings so that the fan is quitely at low temperatures. I have a desktop where it is possible to change the fan settings in the BIOS, but I can't find anything like this on the laptop. Can anyone suggest where I should look - is there any open source or shareware tools that will do it?

    Hello

you already updated your bios to the latest version? If not, then hurry and check if a newer version is available, since most bios updates are correct some problems as parameters powermanagment (ACPI :)) and some other stuff.

Another idea would be to clean your system from breakdown of your machine as a fan that is clobbed with dust, doesn´t work quietly and with precision. A can of compressed air of any market e-mail does the trick. :)
