Cannot zip files dmp

Hello.

I'm trying to zip the dmp files in my laptop. Whenever I try, a guest said that I don't have permission to do so at all. I tried to move to other files and installation of some programs of compression, but it just doesn't work. I can't zip and I don't know what to do. A quick response would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Have you tried to move the minidumps from the Minidump folder on the desktop and then zipping? If so, you do not need to zip them and can just download on the internet. Pass like a Flash only allows analysts because we can unpack it into a directory, but it is not really important.

Kind regards

Patrick

    Hi StephanieCowley,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

In addition, how are you doing today?

You have a problem with opening the Zip files on the computer. This can be very frustrating for you, and I appreciate the efforts you have put in. Let us work together as a team and try to get this fixed number.

We start with a few questions-

    (1) is this problem limited to opening files on Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome?

    (2) you are able to open other files zip on the computer?

    (3) you have a program to open ZIP files installed on the computer?

    (4) you are able to open the same file on another computer (running the same version of the operating system)?

    (5) you get an error code?

    (6) do you have made further changes on the computer before the show?

I would like more information about the issue.

It is possible the file association by default to open this type of file is either corrupted or needs to be changed.

    Method 1-

I would like that you try to open other files zip on the computer. Check if it helps.

    Method 2-

I would have you scan a System File Checker to verify violations of integrity.

    See the article-

  • Cannot extract the zipped files

I can't extract the zipped files.  An audio file on my desktop as one. MP3.zip file, and when I right click on it, there is no option to extract the file.  I have compressed folders that contain pictures and tried to unzip them without success.  There is no option in the menu "right click" to extract the selected file.  My windows lack extraction or unzipping option?  Help, please!

    Hello

Maybe the file is not a real. ZIP file - try to download another. ZIP and save it - so go ahead and
Click right on and see if there is an option/unzip Unzip (unpack). If yes then you must check with
the site where you got the. MP3.zip file to see how to handle. Maybe rename it to filename.mp3
    HOWEVER filename.zip will work.

Download this small utility which is very convenient and comes in. ZIP format just to see if your. ZIP functions
actually work. You can keep the utility or delete, it requires no installation and is very low.

Photo Gallery can't see a .zip file.

Copy the .zip file to a folder on your hard disk and unzip (or
Open it and drag the photos out of it in another folder).

Then import the photos in the photo library.

FWIW... If these are .jpg files, they are already highly compressed

  • Windows 7 cannot open zip files

I'm almost certain that, in the past, my Dell Inspiron 580 with Windows 7 could open zip files.

Last month I had to replace my internal hard drive and reinstall Windows from the disks that I bought from Dell.  Now when I try to open a zip file I downloaded, I have an alert that says that Windows Explorer is unable to open it.

I see a lot of different programs, you can buy or download free, claiming to allow you to decompress the files.  Isn't Windows supposed to be able to open zip se files?

Is there any downloadable for free, zip file openers that work with Windows 7 64 bit?

    Hello Jumprun,

Compress or decompress files isn't windows features. Software of third party such as WinZip, WinRAR, 7Zip are used to compress and decompress files. You can download them by clicking the program you want to download.

  • Windows 7 and cannot open zip files-

When I download something (gooreader) and try to open.  It is said to open with WinZip.  Also said I have to buy WinZip.  Another way to open a .zip file?

    Joanne1789,

    1. Download the file by choosing option 1 (save). It was my option 2 IE (open, save, save under).
    2. At the location where you saved the file (downloads?) you should see the file, I think its called "gooreader4.zip".
    3. As you have not specified the source that you download from, run an AV scan on it.
    4. Simply click on the zip file and it should open like a normal folder.
    5. Inside are the installation (setup.exe and gooreadersetup.msi) files
    6. Double-click on gooreadersetup.msi and it should install. If it does try Setup.exe.

If all goes well who should install it.

Download and run the import of this registry file to restore default .zip and .zfsendtotarget file type association settings.

After execution of this file and its importation of your registry (just save and run), changes should take effect immediately.  If this isn't the case, give a restart and test once more.

  • im making a responsive Web page files you learned you are needed is .zip files. When I go to open them on dreamweaver it says that it cannot open the .zip, they must be .html etc... What should I do?

I need to make a web page with javascript pop ups. If someone could tell me the best program that would be great. Thank you.

Dreamweaver is a glorified text editor, in other words, you are able to handle files containing text. Text files can come in a variety of variations, variations that Dreamweaver handles are extremely good HTML, CSS and JS files and to a lesser extent, the PHP files.

Zip files are not text files, they are compressed files which make the transport and archiving or more effective. See her Zip (file format) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. For the file that will be used by Dreamweaver, you will need to decompress the zip file.

If you want to easily create a page with modals (the modern version of a popup) then I suggest that you create a site using the Bootstrap framework. Modals (and demo) Bootstrap. Modals are

New version of Windows (Vista and later versions) can open ZIP files internally, but on Windows XP, you must install an Archive Manager to open and extract files from a ZIP archive.

You can look at the file manager of 7-zip or WinZIP or WinRAR if you don't have a an Archive Manager:
