Canon 350 d CF cards

As recommended by SanDisk, I bought a few CF Ultra 16 GB card, when I put in the camera it formatted to 8 GB (possibly the maximum capacity of the firmware of the device). The camera will recognize them as 16GB so I do not format it in the camera.

Now, for some reason, I can't my PC to recognize them as 16 GB more. Is it possible to format these cards to restore full capacity?

This happens with a lot of older canon cameras. to set the map do a google search for "HP disk storage format tool" that download and use it to format the card. It will return them to their ability of origin.

    Hello

I wonder, because with the build in the Image Capture program works fine with the same camera setings.

Can you give me some advice?

    Thank you

    Slavi

Never mind. I double checked and your camera support was dropped in LR 4.1 due to the lack of support for Canon in their SD Kit: http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/tethered-camera-support-lightroom-4.html

You'll need either an old computer Configuration or a new camera to attach. I'm sorry.

  • Windows XP prevents me from installing the new hardware as my Canon camera and memory card reader.

original title: problem with new hardware

last week, windows xp prevented me from installing new hardware, namely a canon digital camera and a memory card reader. Although the system recognizes the material into the machine, when you are looking for auto install it asks me for the service pack 3 cd, which I did not. I never had problems, install new hardware before. Any ideas why this happens?

    Hello

    · What is the service pack installed on the computer?

    · What is the model number of the canon camera?

    · What is the exact error message that you receive with error code if any?

If you have installed service pack 3 on the computer then you can try the method and check them off below if it helps:

Change the registry to point to the installation of Windows XP Service Pack 3 files

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: How do I back up and restore the registry in Windows: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756

    a. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box and then click OK.

    b. find the following registry key:

    c. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup

  • Lightroom, officers shot and Canon 350 d Digital

    Hello

I am designer of jewelry and I try to take some pictures of my work.

I want to attach my Canon Digital 350 d to Lightroom, so I can easily see my photos on a large format without having to constantly plug and unplug my camera to my computer.

I have real problems get Lightroom to recognize that my camera is fixed. I checked that my camera is supported and the internet seems to suggest that it is.

Can someone help me? My lack of knowledge of the camera and the computer makes me want to throw it all out of the window! I can't find a set of infallible step by step instructions on how to connect the camera to the software. and here, I've noticed that a lot of people just get directed to the troubleshooting provided by Adobe, but this page is has not helped me so far.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I lost all day to tinker without result

    Thank you

    Rachel

If you are referring to this page you receive all the necessary information on the attachment.  Adobe documentation on this page for the attachment has become essentially worthless.

A list of cameras that can be attached to Lightroom.

Look at this page and you will see your camera support has been removed after Lightroom 4.1 (that's the legacy link)

Pretty poor documentation to attach, about as bad as their quality control programming lately.

  • Lightroom does not recognize Canon EOS350D

I can import the photos in my Canon 350 d using the Canon EOS Utility provided, but I can't import directly in Lightroom - it appears a message indicating no device is connected.  I get (RAW + jpeg) photos on my computer using the EOS Utility software, then import into Lightroom from disk.
I know that people recommend card readers, but I did not and do not wish to buy and carry one around. My laptop only accepts SD cards, not CF. I know not that import directly from the camera is supposed to work, so why isn't she?
I installed the driver WIA and RAW codec for the camera and I can import JPEG sound files in Windows or Photoshop Elements - it's just LR that does not recognize. It does not recognize my compact camera (Canon digital Ixus 75).

Go through the menu research of communication protocol, change opposite of what it currently is.

John, you might have a look at the 20 d for this, I think it is same. Do not remember exactly what he said... PTP and mass storage I think...

  • Suddenly cannot copy more than 3 GB of total files for Macbook Pro CF card

I am a photographer. I have been using the following method for a couple of years without fault: I use my Canon camera Compact Flash cards.  When I finished a session, I insert the CF card into a USB card reader.  Then in the Finder, I create a new file in Documents in which you want to place the files in the photo shoot.  In a new tab, I opened the CF card, highlight the RAW files on the CF card and drag them to the newly created folder.  I systematically copied hundreds of RAW files at once without any problems.

Today, however, when I try to use this method, I am only able to copy up to about 2.5 GB of files at once.  Let's say that I chose 100 files add up to 2.97 GB, and I drag them from the CF card in the folder that I created in the Documents on the MacBook Harddrive.  The small window that opens to display the progress of the copy shows that it is copy 85 points for a total of 2.56 GB.  I had never copy files in small batches like this before. It's painful and tedious.  I need to be able to transfer larger amounts of files in a single session "drop and drag".

I use the same CF cards I've used for more than a year.  I format each time to the camera, as advised by Canon.  I have not changed anything I know.  Y at - it all parameters that have may change should I watch?  Note also, with my update of the software, some by default has changed, and whenever I inserts a card with pictures on this subject files, automatically opens pictures and I just shut it down and move.  I'm currently under OS X El Capitan 10.11.4.

Any advice on how to change this back would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi people.
Here is my Config to the computer.

What I need to know, is what card TV Tuner/Capture internal should I go for as the Hauppauge WinTV PVR 150 does not work well beyond 4 GB of RAM. To use it, so I need to limit my RAM less than 4 GB.
The quality is good enough to view and capture. But I don't want to use the work around or reduce my RAM.

Please suggest me a good internal TV Tuner/Capture card that works with my PC config and allow good capture. I also intend to upgrade to Windows 7

    Current models available in India:
Hauppauge WinTV USB2-Stick TV TUNER CARD
    Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1100 internal

  • windows product key need

My work has several Dell Latitude solutions that must be restored to the Vista OS preinstalled. They are currently on a different OS (if you must know, someone put Windows 7 on them without a key. This person no longer works for us due to incompetence).

Is there a way we can find the product key for Vista operating system? There is no sticker on the bottom of portable computers, just service tag codes.

    bkaoaam

OK, I went back and looked at my other laptops and turns on the first was deleted COA. Now that 90% of my problem is solved, what should I do with the one with the missing COST?

I can get Windows 8.1 installed but I don't know how well these old machines can handle 8 OS

Windows 8.1 has been streamlined a lot and works much better on Vista.

I have 8.1 Windows 32 bit on my Latitude D820, which is probably of similar hardware specifications.

The only issue I had was with Bluetooth because Toshiba has not updated the Bluetooth for Dell Wireless 350 or 360 card stack. I don't use Bluetooth much so never really bothered but can swap out later a map of 355.

  • LR decides to import duplicates

LR importing from a memory card with some news and some pictures already imported. Normal operation: can't stand not duplicated. Lightroom stupid thing for pets of the day: I can't DO NOT import duplicates. I do nothing else. Hundreds of images imported as "Imgxxx_2". I haven't the time to uncheck these one at a time. Why something that suddenly stop work? LR is buggy as the typical application of 1995, or maybe something that I wrote. A shame for humanity.

Yes, it's useful. The problem is that there are so many different circumstances that can be put into play, that pinning it down to an absolutely reproducible scenario proved very difficult, for me at least. I did a ton of tests and many times has triggered a problem but happens next time I run the test. For example, using my 5DIII of Canon which has dual card slots - SD and CF - I configure to duplicate each shot, if I try to import directly from the camera attached with two cards in the slot, in theory, half of the total images should be selectable and the other half not... but often a small batch of these two sets in the middle is selected for import , but not always. End of Jao subject using a separate card reader is a good, I didn't test that. I might give it a try when I have time.

  • Photoshop Camera RAW not supporting my NEF files.

I have a little. NEF RAW images I shot on a Nikon D800 that has been downloaded from a CF of a Canon Mark III friends card. I transferred on my Macbook Pro using a Nikon transfer software and am able to view the images using the Image of Nikon Viewer, but in the finder of my Mac NAVE icon appears as a blank page, not the normal icon of the NAVE and Camera Raw in Photoshop will not open one of these images. Adobe CS5 and I have updated the plugin to the latest version (6.7.1.340) and have tried it on Adobe CC with the latest plugin for this version as well, and I get the same error message on both:

"Could not complete your request because the file appears to be a model of camera that is not taken in charge by the installed version of Camera Raw. .

" The help documentation Camera Raw for more information, please visit."

I also tried to use the Adobe DNG Converter, but this program seems to not be able to manage these images either, as when I try to convert files, a window opens which says:

" ' The source folder does not contain any supported camera raw files '.

I am sure that the images are in tact, I can see the images in the viewer of Nikon, but even the Nikon software is unable to convert. I don't know if this may have been because the card had already been used on a Canon, and having spent all of a sudden a Nikon can affect the structure of the. NEF file, which would explain why the Nikon software could not convert, but it is not yet possible for the Adobe software to read? What can I do? Please help me.

  • Desktop 6.2.2 gave up all the modules except media and install

Palm TX, Vista Home Premium, Palm Desktop 6.2.2 works very well for more than a year.  Desktop computer is used, mainly for the calendar, several times a week.  This week I opened it and it showed only the icons of media and install on the left side.  Open to my media files.  Module at the bottom right says 'Canon DC' and 'expansion '.  I do not use any of what Canon equipment and my card is a Sandisk but photos are correct.  I can't find what happened to the calendar, easy, to do list, memos, etc.  Removed from Palm Desktop and not reinstalled - no change.  Appears to sync properly and data on the TX are intact.

Tom_TX_T5, check to see if the "User Account Control" has been reactivated by a recent update from Microsoft.  Go to the power control panel/users/Tower UAC.

    Try to disable this return.

Also, try to run the shortcut for Palm Desktop "as Administrator".  Right click on the shortcut icon and select "Run as Administrator" and see if it opens correctly.

  • How can I get the video media. MOD in the first El 9?

Are the videos of my Canon 7 d camera and my camcorder Canon ADCHD (two SD cards). Files MOD I opened the first Elements 9 and click on GET the MEDIA and it does not recognize the files. It says that it cannot open the videos because:

"your system has no codec of compression/decompression required installed."

When I bought this software, a service representative assured me that she would take. MOD files. Why these codecs are not installed with the program? How can I get these videos with first Elements 9?

Also have assured that you have the latest version of Quicktime, as required by the program?

And, when you started your project, you selected the project settings for a digital SLR for your video card? You need to do this so that the program turn on the necessary components to work with this video.
