Canon Faxphone L75 pilot

Any suggestions on how I can get my Cannon Faxphone L75 to get set up for printing? Older drivers will not install.

Hey manofthewoods,

What version of driver Canon you trying to install?

As far as I can see from Canon Web site, there is a driver for Vista which can function as you change its compatibility settings to run in Windows 7.

Download the driver from:

http://www.USA.Canon.com/consumer/controller?Act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=127&ModelId=8721#DownloadDetailAct

You can choose to execute the resolution of the problems of compatibility of programs or change compatibility settings. Steps are available in the article below.

  • Canon iR C2880i

I ve just upgraded to OS X El Capitan, 10.11.5 version and I'm making the printer, iR C2880i, work with the system again.

I deleted the printer and also cancelled pilot and try to reinstall but it doesn´t work.

  • Canon printer does not connect via the IPP Protocol

I work in a company that sells printers offices/schools/etc. Yesterday, we received a call from a customer indicating that the Copier, we sold them connected not to a new computer they bought.

I went to the site and noticed that the computers in question were all purchased during 3 months and all loaded with Mac OS X El Capitan. Most was registered on 10.11.3, and some 10.11.2 and 10.11.1. All computers work turned Yosemite.

We receive a message somewhere in the sense of "Communication error. This printer may not be able to [print], you want to save it anyway? »

It was a cannon imageRUNNER Advanced C5235. The client declares that if he saved the printer, it would not be able to print, but would still see jams paper, messages and other statutes of the computer printer toner. After attempting to remove and reinstall the printer using the most recent driver available on the Canon Website, we received the same error, the customer received. We escalated it to Canon support, who asked us to choose LPD instead of the PPI for the Protocol, allowing the printer to you connect and start printing on all devices running El Capitan.

After further research, to my knowledge, the ISB is more recent and has more features that the LPD, although I couldn't find much on it so I was uncertain about the origins of these two protocols, except that they were introduced in the 1990s. I know it's kind of vague, but is better/more recent than PPI LPD? If so, great. Otherwise, is there a way to solve this problem and get computers that run El Capitan to connect correctly using IPP?

The problem here is that the driver Canon UFR2 or PS that was used on the Mac to print in ADVANCE of Canon C52xx does not support PPI. This is why you must use an alternative Protocol.

Note that it is possible to print to the C5255 using the PPI, but you need to use the Canon PPDs which means the copier must have the kit installed Postscript printer and you get not the pretty picture base views the pilot UFR2 and PS to give you.

Second point is that the Canon UFR2 and PS drivers, it is preferable to use HP Jetdirect-Socket to the LPD protocol. He sent larger packets and verifies the status of the target unit - LPD simply sends data to the fixed IP address so if the printer has a problem you don't get this information until you walk up to the photocopier.

I hope this helps. Answer if you need more information.

  • Cannot connect by Satellite A355 for a Canon IP Pixma 5000 on a LAN

Recently, we purchased the Toshiba Satellite A355-S6925, which has the operating system Windows Home VISTA 64 bytes.
The Canon Pixma 5000 printer is directly related to a Windows XP-based computer by using the 32-bit operating system.

When I go to add a printer (Option LAN) the Toshiba sees Canon printer but then returns an error message that there is a bad driver. When you go to the next step, it says that it cannot find the correct "INF". I suppose the INF file is actually on the remote computer on which the printer is connected to. So a question, where is an INF printer on a Windows XP computer?

A test, I plugged the printer directly on the Toshiba and the loaded Toshiba driver the printer. I hoped that could solve my problem, but it didn't. When I tried to add the printer, once again, like a remote printer I got the same error message that it could not find the INF file.

The "Add a printer" Wizard see Canon printer on our LINUX computer. In fact when I added the printer connected to the LINUX computer, I can print from the Toshiba. While this works, it's a bad solution, because I'm still not able to print directly to the remote printer.

Another experiment, I tried to use the printer installation disc, this was rejected by the Toshiba since he was a pilot of 32 bytes. I also downloaded from the site Web of Canon driver 64 bytes, but once again the Add Printer Wizard said that there was a missing INF file... So I always assume that I need to point to an INF file that is located on the Windows XP computer?

    Any advise?

Great news and thanks for your comments!
On the State of ink, you may have to contact the manufacture of the printer.

    Good day!

  • Series of pilot MF4800 Windows 8.1

I just bought a 4880 to replace an older machine that is perfectly feasible, 4150, because Canon never put win 8 drivers that worked well for scan on this machine. Understandable, I guess that, as he was old enough. The 4880 was great to work in Win 8 environment that's where I should have left things. But I checked the Windows compatibility site before moving on to Win 8.1, and this machine has been listed as "compatible".

Well, it isn't. In fact, it is almost completely non-functional, with a capacity of printing limited, but no analysis or two-way communication with the PC. Imagine my frustration when I contacted Canon and they said: no, we have no driver and will "probably", but there is no way of knowing when. "Could be two days, could be six months," a rep said.

So, I think to return. Pretty shocked Cannon would not have up-to-date drivers for the operating system that is currently sold on new PCs, especially when the BONE came out at the stage of developer for months. Someone else has more information about this, that is to say, it is useful to keep the machine in front of the back window on the chance that Canon could update the drivers? Meanwhile, be aware that if you have a machine of this series and wish to Win 8.1, you ask for it.

    Patrice,

Thank you very much. In fact I recently did a large part of what you have described here. The process was somewhat different, because I have my printer is installed as a network printer wired for ease of use in all of my home network. But I did essentially the same thing: I removed all traces, I could find drivers, rebooted, disconnected from the network printer, printer connected in network (I don't use USB, learn from the mistakes of the past, then reinstalled WIndows 8 drivers from the Web site.) They seem to work for printing and scanning. (However I am not banking in the long term, I had my previous machine to work to Win 8 for a period of time, so it didn't.)

Anyway. It is a pleasure for me to have to work for now. But I am confused as to why none of the three Canon support people I talked about this problem had no idea that the pilots would work. They all told me to sit and wait.

Everyone out there in the thought of Canon-land on installation win 8.1 - I uninstall all the software on my machine, made the upgrade, then reinstall the drivers, that would probably solve many problems. (I got also remove and reinstall another Canon inkjet printer wifi running).

    Thanks again.
