Canon Gl - 1 import pixelated

Greetings,

I searched these forums, among other things, and can not find a solution to my problem.

I have a canon gl-1 with which I import images.  On 16:9 and 4:3 settings I meet pixelated footage after capture.

I have the sequence settings set to (what I think) is the appropriate format:

For publishing with IEEE 1394 (FireWire/I.Link) DV material.
Video standard NTSC (4:3 interlaced).
audio to 48 kHz (16 bit).
Timecode offset for numbering.

General
Editing mode: DV NTSC
Time Base: 29.97 FPS

Video settings
Image size: 720: 480v (0.9091)
Frame rate: 29.97 FPS
Format of the pixels: D1/DV NTSC (0.9091)
Fields: Bottom field first

Even in the capture preview, images appear clean as it does on the LCD of the camera picture, filmed in good lighting.  Once I have complete capture and x - out of the box, the two preview clips, as well as once they have been added to the timeline, appear pixelated, destroying the quality of the video.

Is my Timebase of media for an indefinite period in Preferences > media incorrectly? (I tried the 30 frames per second and 29.97 frame, including the last drop, that's what the camera takes snapshots in.)

What is most annoying is that I was not tampered with parameters and had own imports just a week ago.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

P.S. I would film in 16 / 9 for the big screen.

Sounds like your reading resolution has been set to automatic.  Try the configuration above.

  • Canon XF300 MXF import

    Hi all

I did a search of the forum, but it doesn't seem to be something recent or real conclusive on the importation of MXF.

I need to import about 6 hours of type MXF footage in FCX in about 10 days or find another camera.

My understanding is that I need some software to canon utilities but I was wondering where I find it and how it works?

    Thank you

  • Do not update or the Canon of the importation of the 80 d Raw files

I just put my camera for Canon 80 d. I understand that I need to update lightroom to support my new camera raw files. I have 5 Lightroom and when I check the lightroom updates it shows no. I don't want to have to convert my files, I want to just be able to import them and change them as I always have.

You must purchase the upgrade to Lightroom 6.5 or subscribe to Lightroom CC 2015.5. In both cases, you need an operating system that can run this software (Windows 7 or later, Mac OS x 10.9 or later), and it takes a 64-bit operating system.

  • Comment by Canon RAW EXIF Import

Until LR5 the EXIF 'UserComments"field has been imported into the field of the legend of the metadata.  As a new feature LR5 continues to import all shooting information, but does not load the comment.  Does anyone know what EXIF field is now read in the area of the legend.  I use EXIFtool to put my comment in the RAW file, so I can put it as needed?

    John

When I bought my Canon 30 d in ' 06 I started put ID info in the comments using ZoomBrowserEX field which provides Canon.  As increased my volume of photo I found 2 problems with my workflow: 1) put the identical or similar ID in a large number of images has been a real pain and 2) if I needed to change my ZoomBrowserEX comment tended to put the changes in an XMP file to the directory rather that individual will produce so to move an image left the ID behind in the old directory.  To automate the workflow more I started to use exifutils www.hugsan.com to insert comments into the EXIF:UserComment field using a batch file.  Around the same time, I started using Lightroom (I think version II) who picked up the EXIF:UserComment domain and placed him in the legend as shown in this screenshot:

    I used exifutils rather than EXIFtools, which does not directly support the comments of several entry lines.  From LR3, with ZoomBrowserEX could not import inserted comments, but those inserted with exifutils would be important.  As near as we could find the end of the line codes used by ZoomBrowserEX caused problems LR while the CRLF inserted with exifutils was OK.  Due to several problems with exifutils, I could imagine a workaround for inserting comments from multiline using EXIFtools with the command line: perl C:\EXIFTOOL\exiftool.pl "-UserComment.<=Cmt" 1401c_0989.cr2="" after="" creating="" a="" multiline="" id="" file="" named="" cmt. ="" using="" exiftools="" i="" have="" been="" working="" to="" extract="" the="" comments="" inserted="" with="" zoombrowserex="" and="" reinsert="" them="" using="" exiftools="" which="" is="" time="" consuming="" for="" thousands="" of="" images. ="" lr3="" and="" lr4="" have="" consistently="" imported="" these="" comments="" to="" the="" caption="" field="" as="" shown="" above. ="" somewhere="" in="" the="" last="" updates="" to="" lr4="" or="" the="" new="" lr5="" these="" comments="" are="" no="" longer="" imported. ="" i="" have="" verified="" by="" having="" lr="" export="" the="" metadata="" to="" an="" xmp="" file,="" as="" it="" does="" automatically="" with="" raw="" images,="" that="" the="" exif:usercomments="" i="" inserted="" is="" in="" the="" xmp="" export="" for="" both="" images="" where="" the="" comment="" formerly="" imported="" to="" the="" caption="" and="" those="" where="" it="" does="" not="" import="" now. ="" the="" only="" difference="" in="" the="" image="" structure="" is="" what="" formerly="" imported="" no="" longer="">

I think, but does not guarantee that I have the chronology above completely correct.   Having satisfied thousands of unidentified Dad's photos, I try to do that mine localization and subject data physically in the picture and not in a file that can be lost.  I need the comments of several lines that do not appear in the Canon ZoomBrowserEX and Digital Photo Professional like Lightroom.  If necessary I can insert the comment in several locations within the image, but I really need to know where, in the mysterious depths of files from RAW Canon LR can Pick-up a comment and place it in a displayed field.  The legend is kind of practice, but another may do just fine.  I also need to process RAW files from Canon 30 d, 70 d and S95 as well as any camera, I buy in the future.

Thank you very much for your help.  I'm under 64-bit Win7 on an I3 processor. I think I started with one of the middle of LR2 versions and have done at every update since they were issued and bought two upgrades months after they come out.  I like to use Lightroom despite some limitations, but who need to constantly refer to an another installer of my keywords is a real pain.

  • Canon XF files import problems

I'm in first Pro CC (v 7.2.1) under Windows 7. Import images created on a Canon XF300 and XF100, among other cameras. Before v7.2.1, I would incorporate XF with name of the element, each clip containing one or more files of 2 GB. The files would charge separately, with a length of about 5 minutes. When placed in a sequence, the files would be loaded in the order, but remain separated. They would play beyond the borders without jumping or lose sync. While it is not convenient when editing, I realized many projects in this way. The timecode of each file appeared as written, spun with the previous file.

With 7.2.1 the same video is automatically merged when they are imported into the project. Each file requires the same content as the whole clip. However the time code has the same starting value as the last file in the clip, if I import directly from Windows Explorer (ctl - I) or use the media browser. This seems to be what version 7 intend to do, and I can work with it.

Whatever the merits of this "improvement", he is not well documented. It took me a day and a half of the web to research and experimentation until I could move forward. Thank God for holidays and long maturities.

My problem is, projects under previous versions and updates did not automatically merge clips, but when I open them in the body later, he tries to "correct" this gap and merge the files. Therefore, I can't review prior files without starting from scratch. I have CS6, but only files created in that or earlier versions can be opened.

Better how to open the recent projects without ruining them? When will be updated the version of October 2013 (PDF) product manual? What happened to the concept, "backward compatibility"?

Good work identifying and explaining the problem, Ed. Please see #8 by sponsor Wil Renczes Post in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1358012?tstart=0

  • Canon T1i video import problem

Hi people. I'm trying to import clips from Canon T1i in PP CS5, but it either does not want to add audio, or he puts on the track Audio 4. My Canon 1 Dm 4 does not. What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

    Brian

.. .he wants no more to add audio, or he puts on the track Audio 4.

So, what is it? If this is the first, it's probably a codec that is not supported, but if it's the latter, it's because of the channel mappings. The audio in the clip is mono or stereo, and the first three audio tracks in the sequence are the opposite, so first creates a new track, which corresponds to the mapping of the source element. Note the small speaker in the track header icons; a speaker is mono, stereo means both speakers.

  • Canon Vixia HF200 import disorder

    Hello

I use the trial version of Adobe Premiere (with the intention to buy in the near future) to import from a Canon Vixia HF200.  The HF200 uses the AVCHD format, written as MFX files.  I shot the highest quality me offered by my camera (MXP it's called) at 24 frames per second.

Here's the problem: when I import the MXF files in first, they are imported as video ONLY, without any audio.  However, when I open the MXF files in VLC or Windows Media Player, they play with the audio.  How is it first is not recognizing/no import audio tracks?  How can I fix?  Help!

    Thank you

  • The canonical URL - where product Export / Import?

    Hello

I'm so happy BC has finally canonical URL, but I'm completely confused how to upgrade in bulk.

    For example BC says:

By default, BC will choose the first product URL and make it canonical, insert a link rel = canonical head and response header to order the browsers and engine that is the preferred URL of the investigational product. Customers will be able to change the canonical URL through the editing of product of the administration console interface or via the import motor (for updates of bulk).

There is no canonical field updates in bulk.

The only one I could think it was would be: "Product URL".

BUT the import of the said model.

    URL #Product

#This column is ignored. It is no longer available to ensure that an exported file can then be imported

    Am I missing something?

    Hi DandyDahlia,

In fact, the response that you got support is not quite correct. I will work with the rest of the support team at this address.

You can change the canonical URL to import by changing which catalog is listed first in the list of catalogs in the catalog column. There is no canonical URL column, everything is controlled by which catalog appears first in the list catalogs.

I've also been tracking the case you connected with support and you have answered so.

    Thank you

  • Work with AVCHD from CANON XA20 files in first pro cc2015

I work in a project with AVCHD files form a canon as xa20 imported through 2 different methods:

    (1) import through the barrel of the data import utility

    (2) copy the AVCHD structure files in my HARD drive

Both methods provide the same wrong result.

The parameters of the automatic sequence of adobe first pro CC2015 not recognize as progressive images.

The results in the preview screen as well if I export the file is there is some obliquous apperars lines with the lines of the jigsaw and some artifacts as if the film has been interlaced, also if I manually adjust the settings of sequence as progressive.

    any suggestions?

If I'm not mistaken the camera film progressive 25 p, but puts in the middle on the card 50i (pal) interlaced

You must interpret the progressive film first.

Select everything in the project window, right click, edit...

    Then proceed to the sequence.

  • RAW images from Canon T6S in EPS

I have a Canon T6S and told me that the upgrade to PSE 13 11 would allow me to import raw files. It did not work. Is the solution to use the Canon software to import and then transfer

    EPS? Really disappointed.

    Thank you

You must ensure that you have updated Camera Raw to version 9.0. I don't think it's the version provided with 13 elements.

  • Import dialog box no longer displays the files (not even those on the hard drive)

First Pro CC 2014 any files Panasonic GH4 lasted as a single item. I did a short video that shows the problem with the images GH4 and she show how images Canon XA - 10 imports properly.
