cant access built-in web server on HP6940 due to the new router

New router has IP 192.168.2.1

Changed Deskjet 6940 IP 192.168.2.60 and it turned off... fails to 192.168.1.3 to the power upward and can not find network using IP or hostname

Hoe can I access the Web server integrated to change the IP address without having to reinstall everything... seem to have misplaced the installation CD

Thank you

Chris

Solved the problem of the IP address as follows:

Connected a spare laptop router.

Changed router IP to 192.168.1.1

Printer plugged into router

Could then access printer Web Server to 192.168.1.3

Changed printer IP for 192.168.2.6

Printer is now accessible on the network

We try to remotely administer printers HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g Wireless

They print and scan very well, and we can access the home page of each printer EWS.

We have been asked to make a few changes and cannot go beyond the EWS username and password authentication request.

In my view, it has been defined by a previous administrator, but him documented names of user and password we have on file do not work.

    SOLVED!

Then I got a job to another printer HP OfficeJet 8 X 00-

All you have to do is RESTORE network defaults on the front control panel - this will reset the default value:

    (1) requirement for access password turned OFF

    (2) default user name is ADMIN

    (3) password is EMPTY

then, on command before Panel set your IP network information, and you will then be able to access the built-in Web server and see all / manage all settings, including resetting the password to the web server integrated EWS.

  • HP 6840 built-in Web server

I'm running Win 7 and I was trying to set up two accounts different wireless setting - home and hotspot, one for each type of internet connection used. Somehow, I screwed up the initial settings in the 'built-in Web server' and don't know how to access again to make the changes. My printer just keeps giving me 0.0.0.0. I'm unable to access the last URL I had for the Assembly of the House.

If more information is needed, please let me know as I am new to this forum. Thanks for any help you provide.

  • OfficeJet 8500 has Premium: cannot access any embedded web server...

I'm changing the address of electronic mail (from a previous owner of the printer) by going to "scan to e-mail" settings in the HP utility and by hitting the link to enter the integrated Web server.  I was able to access the built-in Web server (despite receives a lot of restricted warnings) in typing the IP address 192.168.1.6 for a brief period, but I still couldn't change the e-mail settings as kepyt I get access denied the warnings.  Then I can I have messed up it by checking the Https redirection feature and now can not access EWS for all.  Is there a way to return to the main page of the EWS?  Now, all I get is a blank page when I click on go to EWS in the utility section of HP.    I would like to modify the e-mail settings which I believe have been implemented by the former owner.  I have restored the default settings of the network twice and nothing has changed.  Any help would be greatly appreciated that I use an older printer without help of the guarantee.

    Hi sojoey,

I recommend you try a different browser than the one you are using. You can try Firefox, Google Chrome, etc. If you get pop-ups about certificates for HTTPS, click on continue anyway.

  • HP jet pro 8625 desktop: built-in web server

The URL of the printer are not accessible from public wi - fi networks.  Usually receive message: cannot open the Page, the server does not, check the URL and try again.  However, the connection to the home network built-in web server to which the printer is connected is immediate. Hello

Your printer and your computer MUST be on the SAME network to access the URL regardless of the public or private/home. Again, he must same network.

  • Finding information on the ink using the built-in Web server in Photosmarts

SAP (built-in web server) is a useful tool which is used in many respects related to networking, it can provide information on Web Services and can also set Static IP and static DNS on the printer.

But, if it is connected to the network via Ethernet or via a wireless connection with the Officejet, it is also a great way to check the ink levels and number of pages.

To access EWS of the printer.  Take the IP address of the printer and type it in a browser on the computer. The IP address can be found under settings wireless to the printer on display or on the Network Configuration report that can be printed.

Once we've hit this address in the browser, the integrated Web server opens to a screen that will show you some basic information on this page. It will be showing the ink levels estimated for the printer.

For a more detailed look at the output of consumer and media of ink printers:

    1. once on the homepage of the Photosmart EWS, click the tab above titled "Tools".

    2. from there, looking at the left column on the new page that appears, click reports

    3. from here, click use report

    • We'll now be able to see how many cartridges have been replaced for each color in the printer.
    • Once can see the total number of pages for pages printed by the printer
    • This report will also give a break down on how many pages when printed on plain paper, photos and media size

So, for those who are connected by Ethernet or wireless to the printer; Here's another option to find information about the ink levels.  These steps and information listed are general guidelines.

I hope the community finds this is useful and informative.  Good impression!

  • Printer Officejet Pro 8620: How to reset the Server Web integrated (built-in web server) on the printer Officejet Pro 8620 Pro?

The password has been reset, but we cannot go beyond the server request the user name and password to change the other settings.  We have not had any problems to set up the printer to the computer and we are able to print and use the printer.  We just need to find EWS to change other settings.  We use Windows 7.

    Hi there @Mariko23

    Welcome to the forums,

I understand the SAP you request a user name and password and you're looking to reset the built-in Web server to access accordingly.

I suggest try to restore default network settings on the device, which should help you.

On the printer, select Setup, network configuration, network by default, Yes, restart the printer.

Good luck, I hope this helps

  • CF2016 - Alias/cf_scripts / scripts on the built-in Web server

I am following the guide lockdown here:

    http://wwwimages.Adobe.com/content/dam/ACOM/en/products/ColdFusion/PDFs/ColdFusion-2016-Lo ckdown - guide.pdf

The guide proposes to move/cf_scripts/scripts directory, I did.

The guide also offers using only the web server integrated access to the ColdFusion administrator, this is how I put it in place.

The guide also indicates that you need to create an alias for the directory moved to the built-in web server.  See page 58 of the PDF.

If you plan to use the built-in web server to access the ColdFusion administrator, you may need to create an alias for/cf_scripts/scripts if you have changed the default Script Src in ColdFusion administrator.

To create a new Alias for/cf_scripts/scripts on the built-in web server

If you plan to use the web server to access the ColdFusion administrator, then you must also add an alias by adding a tag context inside the tag of the located server.xml file host: /opt/cf11/cfusion/runtime/conf/server.xml

    < context path = ' / '.

    docBase = "/ opt/cf11/cfusion/wwwroot".

    Workie = "/ opt/cf11/fusion/runtime/cone/Catalina/localhost/tamp.

    alias = "/ coscripts = / opt/cf11/fusion/wwwroot/CFIDE/scripts" / >

Restart ColdFusion, and then test by visiting /cfscripts/cfform.js on your server of builtin.

There are a ton of typos in the present (Workie vs WorDir, vs conf cone, Pack vs coscripts vs cfscripts, tmp, etc..

This also seems to be referencing the paths cf11 (CFIDE/scripts vs /cfscripts/cfform.js vs cf_scripts/scripts/cfform.js and cf_scripts/scripts).

In addition, coldfusion - error.log notes the following:

WARNING: A context path should be an empty string or start with a ' / ' and do not end with a ' / '. [The path [/] does not satisfy these criteria and has been replaced by]

    WARNING: [SetPropertiesRule] {Server/Service/engine/host/context} setting property 'alias' to ' / cf_scripts/scripts = / cf_scripts/test_scripts "did not find a corresponding property.

The first line is not a problem, but the second line is.  alias is not a valid property of the context.

The server.xml file is an example, and it is as follows:

    "< context path =" "docBase =" < cf_home > / wwwroot "WorkDir =" "< cf_home > / runtime/conf/Catalina/localhost/tmp" > "

    < resources >

    < base preResources = "docBase1" className = "org.apache.catalina.webresources.DirResourceSet" webAppMount ="/ aliasPath1" / > "

    < base preResources = "docBase2" className = "org.apache.catalina.webresources.DirResourceSet" webAppMount ="/ aliasPath2" / > "

    < / resource >

    < / context >

It aligns with the Apache docs.

I have CF installed on Windows, to F:\CF_2016\.  That's what I did to alias the directory of scripts (renamed to test_scripts for testing) for the built-in web server:

    < context path = "/" docBase = "F:/CF_2016/cfusion/wwwroot" WorkDir = "F:/CF_2016/cfusion/runtime/conf/Catalina/localhost/tmp" >

    < resources >

    < base preResources = className "F:/CF_2016/cfusion/wwwroot/cf_scripts/test_scripts" = "org.apache.catalina.webresources.DirResourceSet" webAppMount = "/ cf_scripts/scripts" / > "

    < / resource >

    < / context >

It seems to work.  Is this correct? Wouldn't be an alias as \Scripts or /cfscripts instead of/cf_scripts/scripts?

Why exactly should I alias this to the administrator?

    Thank you

    Hello

I was in the same boat (we are defining a profile secure for testing) and I see no one answered you so I want to offer what we were doing.

    webAppMount = "/ {NEW_CFSCRIPTS_VIRTUAL_DIRTORYNAME" / >} "

You see, I believe the problem you had previously was that the base should be the physical directory and the webAppMount should be the virtual directory.

You were correct about the typos in the "official" document

I don't know if it's important or not, but we have also created the directory "tmp" (quoted above) within the "{YOUR_DRIVE} :/. "{CFROOT} / cfusion/runtime/conf/Catalina/localhost / ' because it is not there by default.

    Kind regards
    David

  • HP Laserjet M606x: Disable the option 'Print' in the built-in Web server

I am testing a new HP Laserjet M606 device and to disable the option 'Print' which is displayed in the 'Information' tab in the built-in webserver (EWS). I have a firewall turned on, turned off wireless printing, FTP, AirPrint, Web Services, PPI and independent producers is also disabled. HP Jetdirect XML service is also disabled. I have crossed most of the EWS settings and configuration options in JetAdmin and did not find an option to turn this feature off.

The device will be located in a public place and will have a reserved/static IP address (DHCP reserved). We charge for services to the end-users of printing - having this option turned on means that users can print for free if they find the IP address of the printer - not an ideal situation.

Is it possible to disable this option permanently? The only other solution is to disable EWS entirely, if possible.

To be a little more specific in the built-in web server click the Security tab. Now scroll down until you find the section for embedded web server settings. I was watching who had enough current firmware in the machine there is a checkbox to enable or disable the option for printing on the information page.

  • How not one disables the built-in web server?

In my case Adobe technology enabled web server integrated for some sort of test and left, that it has.  I would like once more to turn it off to limit the attack surface that I see it's getting some visits by an internal network vulnerability scanner.

Where is the configuration file and setting specific to only disable the built-in web server?

Unwanted changes to the built-in web server is referenced in this article in the forum: http://forums.Adobe.com/message/4388179

Add Miguel-F information, in case you use ColdFusion 9 then, adding only the code below, in the section above will be used.

  • Upgrade virtual Center 2.02 VC 2.5 on the new server. Upgrade ESX 3.02 ESX Server 3.5. and add the new ESX Server.

    Hello

We are due to upgrade our VMWare environment. ESX 3.02 x servers virtual Center 2.02 and 3.  We have new material on which to install Virtual Center and we are also adding a new ESX Server.

I read various guides for virtual center upgrade and watched questions on the forum, but can not see everything that relates to the way I thought to do. I want to install Virtual Center 2.5 on the new server and I would refer her to the current virtual cenre database.  Is this supported?

I then install ESX 3.5 on my new ESX Server and add it to the virtual Center. Then I would start the upgrade / rebuild other servers using VMotion to migrate all VM the next server to be rebuilt on the new server running ESX 3.5.

    Would this work.

What is the best way to upgrade the virtual center of new material and a new Version?

Thank you for all the advice that can be offered.

    Kind regards.

Yes, it is an upgrade that is supported.  Don't forget there will be an upgrade for your DB schema and it may take some time.  Just make sure that you have a good backup of your DB before you start.

I then install ESX 3.5 on my new ESX Server and add it to the virtual Center. Then I would start the upgrade / rebuild other servers using VMotion to migrate all VM the next server to be rebuilt on the new server running ESX 3.5.

I agree entirely, I drive rebuild is the way to go.

Upgrade to the current version using the .iso image file.  Don't forget the license server, which is a standalone update and are located in the folder /vpx of the vCenter .iso

    Upgrade path:

    1 vCenter

    2 ESX

    3 VMware Guest Tools

Thank you for all the advice that can be offered.

I hope that was a little helpful as well

  • Built-in web server I cannot access the settings HP Officejet 6600 CZ155A tab

    HP Officejet 6600 CZ155A regarding:

I had access to the embedded on my iMac on OSX 10.8.2 computer.  It did not work so I did an uninstall and then reinstall the HP software.  This is the latest version.  I did also some Apple software updates as requested.  The e-print emial account works when I send a message with a document and prints.  But when I try to enter in additional features in the web server, I can not go beyond the window with the IP address and "admin" displays as well.  I have some information in my file with the name wireless live - but it does not work either.

    Suggestions or comments?

Thank you.  I contacted HP Support and it took a few calls but it is fixed.  The problem was with the IP addresses.  We emptied the printer.  Assigned to a correct IP and it worked perfectly.  Thanks again for your advice.

  • 477dw PageWide Pro HP MFP: HP PageWide Pro MFP 477dw password clear built-in Web server or initializing NVRAM

We have D3Q20A integrated #B1H Pro MFP from HP PageWide 477dw with a web server password. Can we clarify that or make an init NVRAM to clear that.

    Thank you very much!

OK thanks anyway I guess we scrap the printer even if it has 10 printed pages. We lent it to a client and they do not know the password.

However, I had other secure printers that had a password and we have been able to reload the firmware that still protects the information of previous customers while also allowing to give the product a useful life expectancy. I guess you'd better fix it not at all in order to avoid problems of this kind.

Usually, a safe product that can be reset to zero would be not able to be used in any case, unless some configurations are configured in order to use the product.

When these start to return they rent everything should be scrapped. It's quite a waste honestly but this seems to be the standard with warranty devices these days.

So the lesson is to NOT DEFINE a word of PAST ON OFFICEJET PRINTERS or to writing to all least the password on the bottom of the printer where no one can see or you can buy a new printer, if the password is forgotten or the computer scientist is triggered.

I like the old days when you had to move a secret rider or use the trombone a secret to reset everything back to default button. Dreaming of the good old days...

This thread gives to think that a full reset can be done by disconnecting the power to the Photosmart 2575, then plug the power while pressing the keys 'Cancel' and 'OK '.
