Capacity/IO false alerts?

Hi all

I recently started to manage vCOPS (currently 5.6 to 5.7 soon) for a client. I have a lot of experience with the install, but not so much in the interview on the day the day and usage. I have a problem that I can't understand, and I've not found much information going around on this subject. This is probably an error based on the user, that is me haha. Here's the gist of it:

Data warehouses are reports for TWO storage capacity alerts, and e/s, however, data warehouses are not remotely close to capacity (as low as 6% of disk space usage) or disk i/o (as low as 1%). I'm confused as to what is causing the alert because there aren't any problems that I can find. I have attached a few screenshots to show what I see. If there are no gurus vCOPS out there please let me know what Miss me.

Thank you

~ Brandishes

There is a bug in recently discovered 5.7.x,, which may be related to your situation- 0-days-rest on the large data with very little of use warehouses online
A fix should be available by support for affected customers, probably soon.

  • False alerts in TMS after upgrading to 14.6.2

After modernizing TMS from 14.3 to 14.6.2, we receive frequent false alarms that are some of the features of basic (IPGW, ISDNGW, supervisor blade) down.

Within 1-2 minutes we get the high alert once again but when you see the status of the device is not really down. It is perhaps because the MSDS does not answer these devices SNMP and there seems to be a bug. I would like to know what can be checked on TMS or devices to avoid this problem.

Just to inform that was not with the old version of TMS.

We have also seen this frequently on TMS14.6 as well, especially with infrastructure devices (TCS, VCS, ISDN gateway, etc.) and sometimes also of endpoints.

After the TMS15.0.1 we do not see this issue any more.

  • SQL Log Shipping 14420, 14421 false alerts

I've implemented a 2014 SQL Server transaction logs to copy data from a primary to a secondary server. It is all working properly save, copy and restore however the alert that is configured to run on the secondary server reports that the last backup time are the time of the full initial backup before transaction logs starts. This is the information that is reported when I question the msdb.dbo.log_shipping_monitor_primary table. Therefore, when the alert monitoring is running, he reports:

    MSG 14420, level 16, State 1, procedure sp_check_log_shipping_monitor_alert, line 61
The main expedition of database XXXXXXX.xxxxxxx newspaper threshold of backup of 60 minutes and has not performed a backup of newspaper for 1120 minutes operation. Check information for log and logshipping agent monitor.

SQL server was originally installed before the server has been renamed to its current name, however I've renamed the instance and all the database queries (for example SELECT @@SERVERNAME) return the correct server name.

  • Under XP, is false alert.

I get an error message saying that my computer is in danger of being taken over by a terrible virus and I have to click on it, but I try to click on the red x tryingto get rid of it, but it won't go away and so I have to make a "disconnect", then reconnect to get rid of, but it happens several times a day.  When it happens, that I can't even close the programs I'm or even click out of the "caveat" so I have to close my computer by disconnection without leaving the programs I have up.  How can I get these to stop and if I constantly disconnect my computer without closing programs will be that this harm my computer?  When I log back on it tells me that I disconnected without closing programs (of course, I know that), but after doing this several times a day every day, it will hurt my computer?  Moreover, when I receive these alerts the only other thing on the alert is a yellow triangle with a black exclamation point in the middle of it.  Thanks for your help.

Well the short answer is you have been taken over by a fake AV program, and this will continue, unless you remove the virus. 1st thing you need to do is to download malware bytes from here, download, install and update the program. Make sure that you run full scan of the system. Once the analysis is completed and the results appear, erase everything and you should be fine. Make sure download also that you Microsoft Security Essentials from here to stay protected.

Let me know if you have any problems.

    Hope this helps,

  • M1536dnf: FALSE alert m1536dnf printer Toner Cartridge

M1536dnf AiO power lost during printing. Resumption of power, showed the paper jam. I removed the paper from the output tray, closed the door, and a sheet is released. Printer then began to show a warning "used cartridge in use', which will not disappear. It's a true 78A, and clear a paper jam is not "used". How can I fix this error?

    Hello

You should not do something when this message appears, it should disappear; as it is just informative.

I guess you could try a cold reset on your printer.  This set your printer to the factory settings, delete downloaded fonts, etc...  So what are you comfortable recongifuring the printer:

    Product resets

To restore the factory the product's default settings, follow these steps.

    1. turn off the product.

2 hold down the arrow button to the right and cancel at the same time.

3 all by pressing two keys, turn on the product.

4 continue to hold both buttons until the storage Permanent. init appears on the screen and then release both keys.

    Follow the instructions below.

Click on the link below. Download the rundll32 file (uploaded by me if it's safer). Save the file to your desktop. Right-click on the file and choose copy. Now click on start > run > paste the following command. c:\Windows\System32 > Ok. When the folder opens, you see a message that these files are hidden. In the left pane, click on the link to view the contents of this folder, as shown in the image on the second link below. Once the content is visible, right-click in the free space in the system32 folder and choose Paste. If you are prompted to replace an existing file, click Yes. Close all windows.

Click on start > run > type cmd > Ok. On the command line, right click and paste the following code exefile = assoc.exe > press ENTER. Close command prompt. Now try to open any executable file (a game or any application). Be advised, the file download will expire after 3 days. This is the result of the use of the free version of filemail.com.

Hello, yes it's a phishing tactic that tries to trick you into installing malicious software, in order to not download or run this kind of stuff! updates are managed automatically by firefox, so you don't have to download anything.

You can also run a full scan of your system with software security already in place and the various tools like the free version of malwarebytes, adwcleaner & kaspersky security scan to make sure there isn't already a kind of active malware on your system that triggers these false alerts.

  • Is it possible to make the Enter key on my Mac keyboard function as a tab to complete the forms online faster?

On some web forms, it would be great to be able to use the number pad with enter key to enter numbers on a website with one hand while keeping the place on my paper with others. It's the only thing that slows me down left on my Mac.

Thanks for the email. Turns out that the assigned form designer a lot of values in double taborder (10, 10, -1, 10, 10, -1), then the script was confused trying to find the next Higher taborder.

This revised version is just going in the order rather than trying to find the next box logically. I name this is an EnterInFormN for 'natural order' to distinguish it from the others.
