Captioning Overlay Display customization

Is there a way to customize the display of the CC in CP 8 overlay?

You can change the location and hide the button close with this css for HTML5:

#cc {}

top: 569px;

margin-left: 25px;

}

{#ccClose}

display: no

}

You can also change the index, but I do not recommend. You can adjust it more if you include your css after application of css with JavaScript and CP.

You can include a CSS custom file in the folder C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 8 x64\HTML\assets\css\.

SWF, you need a widget. TLC can build one for you.

  • How can I make the text box caption to display a text variable that is longer than the length?

    Hi all, I would like to do this: make a text caption to display a variable that contains a paragraph of text that the user has typed as soon as possible.

    I created the maximum length of the variable only 1000 and I am able to partially displayed variable in the text caption - only at the end of the first line of caption text.

    ICan someone tell me how to configure the text caption so that it can encapsulate texts? I can't find it in the properties panel.

    Thank you very much.

    No need to shout, even if I'm not native English, I understood your question very well, and this can be done with the enhanced TextArea widget as I mentioned. Here is a screenshot:

    Workflow:

    • Create a user variable, I scored it
    • Insert twice the widget with variable TextArea (Jim Leichliter, CaptivatePro), on the screen, these are the two rectangles on the bottom red and blue
    • Configure the first Widget to be associated with v_text and show this variable by inserting a default $$ v_text$ $
    • Configure the second Widget to display this variable by inserting returns a default $$ v_text$ $
    • You will need a button to refresh, so that the text appears in the second widget. Here I used the button, and then assigned to the action "Jump to slide" with the same number of slide so that the playback head rewound to the beginning of the slide
    • The text in the second widget shows; as you can see, it can be formatted as you wish.

    If you want to display the text in another slide, no need to make the action update, it automatically displays when you get to this slide.

    It is not a text caption that is displayed, but the widget. Is this a problem?

  • How do you get the windows caption to display

    I don't know how I can expand on that.

    I want just the legend of Windows to display as it did on older versions.

    Thank you

    I think you want, what is now called the "title bar". It displays at the top of the window and displays the title of the current page (the full version of what appears on the tab of the page).

    If it seems that this could be the right thing, you can activate the title bar and turns off using the personalization feature. See:

  • First CC - Closed not Captioning not display some legends

    So I imported a .srt file (which, once I did that I had to change the background from transparent to opaque) and everything seemed normal.

    However, when I play the video a few legends not displayed. I check the file of legend and it is listed, but it will not appear.

    I tried to remove it and add a new caption in the same time slot, but it does not yet appear.

    I also exported to see if it will burn just in the video since it is listed on the technical side, but he is not there as well.

    I'm confused.

    Thank you for writing back.

    1. the first legend "I always wondered what death was like." is more than 32 characters maximum, including spaces. By having the wrong legend (too many characters), it can knock out other legends after him. Shorten by breaking it into two lines and see if that helps. It may be in the same legend, just put a hard return in it.

    I've always wondered

    what looked like death.

    2. the legend is 708, 1 service - see if the monitor in the Source and the program is configured to display the 708 legends, service 1. Click the icon of bitch in a monitor, see the "Legends" and make sure it is active, and the standard is 708, 1 service.

    Let me know how it goes - once again, the first caption is too long can influence the other legends that comes after it. Thanks for posting the screenshot and more information!

  • Shares advanced, you get the text of the caption to display on the current slide to the feedback of the users?

    Hi all

    I am trying to create a 'simple' (Captivate 7.0.1). Word search puzzle

    The user must be able to find the 5 words hidden in a random order.

    5 necessary items have been found, legend text informed the user that he or she has completed the puzzle and can click on the next button to move forward.

    puzzle_1.gif

    The problem I encounter is that the caption text does not appear in the slide, although the number of clicks/selections required is met.

    Note: When to advance to the next slide, and then enter the puzzle slide text caption shows and triggers. (see below)

    OK, thanks for the help, Rod - I'll add a button to the slide.

  • Customize the default text captions

    I'm trying to add a custom default value text caption. I am able to access and use it regularly, but I want to make the default to save time and energy. I know how to change the default values for the text captions, but I don't know how to add my customization of the list of options.

    Thanks for the help,

    To make custom captions to display in the list of available in Captivate captions, copy your customized .bmp and .fcm files installation directory in the Captivate:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 3\Gallery\Captions

    and then restart Captivate.

  • Keep with photo captions when burning to dvd

    I copied more than four hundred Photo Gallery family photos for my family with captions until they are on the DVD with the photos. But not so much. How to do this. Thank you

    If you are planning that captions to display
    When the photos are viewed... a method
    would be to use editing software to apply
    legends in the face of the photos.
    (FWIW... applying this way would be legends
    be permanent as a Date stamp)

    The free Picasa software has several options
    to add text to pictures.

    (FWIW... it is always a good idea to create
    a system before you install restore point
    software or updates)

    Picasa
    http://Picasa.Google.com/

    After you download and install Picasa...
    Open the program and double left click
    an image to open the editing functions.

    To add text to the front of the photo...
    choose... Simple retouching / text button...

  • Windows 10 improvement - battery and the State of charge is displayed does not.

    For some reason any we have accidentally updated to W10 on the laptop this afternoon. Overall, it seems to work ok, but the only thing that we have noticed, is that the charge battery etc status icon is now displayed in the taskbar right tlower.

    When I plug the charger seems to be detected because I get the battery/charger Acer overlay displayed in the center of the screen for a short time - just like he used to. I don't think this is a feature of Windows, most likely a an Acer function?

    I went into Device Manager > batteries and emit a "Search for hardware changes" and the battery symbol then appeared in the bottom as right task bar usually. Plug and unplug the charger has been shown in the icon so it seems to work and we were 'okay '.

    Then, I thought I had better perform a restart of the laptop to make sure it was really now work and stable. After you reboot, the icon did not reappear!

    Tried the same trick in Device Manager but no luck.

    I did not have any other software upgrades on the Acer.

    I hope someone can help me get this rather vital icon to reappear constantly.

    Yes, it is applicable.

  • Captioning is not going on two lines?

    I often see closed captions that are more than one long line, but first, I can't have closed captioning to display more than approximately 42 characters. In the field of publishing, there is no obvious limit to the characters that I can enter, but on the screen (in the preview of the program) the 2nd line is obscured. In the program window, the last character is replaced by the last typed character, as if it recognizes a sort of limit of characters that is not reflected in the editor.

    If it is high enough resolution, the screenshot you should be able to see how the last character displayed is "as it is the last character in the text block, rather than the 'c' which is what it should show if it have been simply cut. I don't think that it is the intended functionality?

    Sequence settings, size, placement, frame rate, etc do not seem to make a difference.

    Running latest version of first CC on Mac OSX El Capitan. Any help is appreciated!Screen Shot 2016-03-30 at 8.21.11 PM.png

    I answer with link to post a similar question, with staff (monstremoi) indicating the limit of 32 characters - also a link to Premiere Pro legend legend help

    Edit: with threshold--appears that you can have more then 32 characters in a legend, seaparating the two lines by a «back»

    link of post (I found some posts below your post) here first CC - captioning showing is not some legends

    I have not seen your screen high resolution shot, I saw others and mine. I saw legend limit greater then 32 characters, in a sequence of high-definition, but that statement is not entirely correct, I do not remember the exact wording.

  • CP9: Text entry box: Lost Focus displayed when you click Submit

    Hello

    I seem to have problems with my text entry areas (TEBs).

    Sometimes, these problems do not appear all the time.

    Later a being that when I click on the button the Focus Lost text caption is displayed.

    I came across the question when you work on a project, so I decided to 3 slides project to test.

    1 BER on the screen.

    • Success goes to the next slide.
    • Failure displays caption built-in failure.
    • Focus Lost shows a text caption.

    Slides mask lost Focus of text caption at the entrance.

    No advanced actions.

    Timeline shows just TEB and lost legend for Focus text.

    CP9 TEB Focus Lost.jpg

    CP9, project that is unresponsive (a new project - only 3 slides), project preview & Preview in the browser. have not yet published.

    I deleted the slide and added a new slide.

    I deleted the cache and reset the preferences.

    Concerning

    Donal.

    The way you described the configuration and screenshots, it seems to be behaving exactly as it should.

    I was expecting to see THE text caption every time that you click the submit button.

    Should the lost Focus event fires when the cursor was placed in field ETB and then you move outside this field and click on anything, which of course would include by clicking on the button submit of the BER itself.

    So far I don't see any bug or issue here.  Can you describe what you think that SHOULD be the case?

  • How to change the display of subtitles in cc 2014

    Hi for the CC new update they have the ability to change the subtitle seems to be deleted. Currently, it is located on level 1 of Teletext. But I would like to change this to CEA - 708. In the old version of cc u could change that by clicking on the settings of the program monitor, but this option is no longer available.

    Screen Shot 2014-10-21 at 16.30.47.png

    Site stats using adobe Adobe Premiere Pro | Closed Captioning 'you can select the captioning standard coded for a legend item in the Source monitor. In the context menu of the monitor Source Panel, select Closed Captioning display > settings. For example, you can select CEA - 608, CEA-708, CC1, CC2 and so on. You can activate or deactivate the display of subtitles on and disables" "

    But this button is now gone.

    Any help?

    The icon of the button that you show above is to toggle the display subtitles. To access the settings of the program monitor, click the icon to the left of the time display key.

    If you want that the Closed Captioning back display button, click on the plus sign in the lower right of the screen and drag the button to the button bar.

    If you see on my site I have a Nivo slider with rotating images - http://www.london-school-of-makeup.com

    But I want it to work like this one http://www.gilesforeman.com

    I don't know if I need to change the header file or slider.php to make it work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Line 278 of style.css:

    .Nivo-caption {}

    display: none! important;

    position: absolute;

    left: 0px;

    Bottom: 0px;

    Background: #000;

    color: #fff;

    opacity: 0.8; / * Overridden by setting captionOpacity * /.

    Width: 100%;

    z index: 89;

    }

    Who to change:

    .Nivo-caption {}

    display: block! important;

    position: absolute;

    left: 0px;

    Bottom: 0px;

    Background: #000;

    color: #fff;

    opacity: 0.8; / * Overridden by setting captionOpacity * /.

    Width: 100%;

    z index: 89;

    }

    278-297 lines is the CSS that controls your legend. Here you can style it any way you want.

    You can set positions, width, height, drop shadow, CSS Transitions, etc if you want your menu to act as the example site you gave.

  • Captioning does not change - 6 Captivate

    I help a member of my staff with a Captivate 6 project - we added audio for slides, typed in the legends, the timed it's all--but when we look at the slide, the captioning at the bottom of the screen does not change.

    Legend 1 extends time 00:00 to 00:33 dry.  Caption 2 extends from 00:33 00:56 dry. Legend 3 00:56 dry at 01:10 (end of slide)

    However, when we look at the slide, select the CC button - at the bottom of the screen that displays the first legend.  But when we arrive at the 33-second mark, the second legend does not appear.  The first legend stays on the screen for the duration of the slide.

    Fault lines is equal to 3.

    The first legend is 2 1/2 lines long - so we see the first fine legend.

    Any ideas on how to get the second caption to display on the screen?

    Thank you!

    -c-

    In addition, if you click boxes or buttons on this slide, the point of the break of these objects is paused captioning as well!  Even though the audio continues.  You need to move the points of the break of these interactive objects after the last series of captioning appears.

    Moreover, I think that it is a bug introduced in version 6.  I submitted a bug report to Adobe on this matter.  I think that captioning must be linked to the audio, not for the timeline objects.
