• Satellite L300 - do not display some or even a part of web page

  A new laptop 2 days ago will not display some web pages (or sometimes a part of) even if a second machine to apparently the same specification (family Vista premium with IE8 on the same connection has no problem)

  A particular example is the http://www.java.com/en page where the machine in question opens the Java in action and the Help Center pages but not the downloads page. When you click on the link, the link from the State to the bootom of the screen seems to show this loading, but nothing appears

  This only happens on the web pages where you need Java?
  If so I can recommend to update the Java version. On my Satellite A300 with Vista, I got a problem that the browser crashes on websites with Java. I've updated the Java software and since their all works well.

  In addition, you should try it with a different Internet browser, Firefox for example. This browser is faster than IE8 and there is a lot of useful modules available.

• Why first topic is not display in merged help?

  I created a system to help merged in RH 9, suite "Merging WebHelp - RoboHelp 8 ' of Peter Grainge steps.  When I open the file by default (index) in the parent, the first theme is not displayed and I get this error under heading:

  Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage.

  I can click on just about any subject of the structure of the table of contents and it appears correctly.

  I follow step 8 (which requires to synchronize the table of contents) and made the change in the file whthost.js in the folder of output generated for the parent and the child.

  I also tried looking for this forum before asking that question, using google, according to the guidelines as the forum search is broken. But I couldn't find anything relevant.

  When this happens, it is certainly because the path to the redirect is not right. Make sure that the relative path is correct and that the target file is where it should be.

  When I open a new tab, it does not display the usual sites, but it shows just a white screen. Only the search bars and icons are displayed. It is not also a gear in the top right.

  Hi, try this: Type Subject: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning, scroll to browser.newtab.url and make sure that 'Value' is defined Subject: newtab (click right to change, if necessary, by taking care of not to change what anyone else).

  If this is not successful or if it changes, to try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    then select restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

• My firefox does not display some characters more - how to fix?

  I use Firefox v24 under Windows7. After a virusscan suddenly all the characters do not appear in firefox anmore. Even after uninstalling and again install the same result. Then, I uninstalled and deleted all the data-firefox (program files, roaming), reinstalled and still the same.

  I'm using Linux, so I don't know for sure what police Firefox use for the user interface.

  A bit of luck with test of police to identify a broken font?

  You can do a test of fonts to see if you can identify the corrupted fonts.

• After the upgrade to Windows 10 Firefox does not display some Fonts/Icons correctly

  Firefox displays a box with numbers inside instead of icons on some websites. I saw several other threads, and the problem was solved by allowing the pages to choose their own fonts. I confirmed this setting is enabled in the GUI and subject: config. However, the question is always natural. I disabled all addons, restarted FF and question persists. With the help of FF 40.0.3.

  I found the root cause of the problem. In Windows 10 when the WIndows Firewall service is stopped (I like this option disabled, I throw a perimeter FW), the problem occurs. Start the Windows Firewall service and everything is fine. Hope this helps others.

  Firefox does not appear certain things. For example, the area around the text, the above options (bold, italic, type inserting a link - I can see what they are just by moving the mouse pointer in the approximate area and reading the small text that appears). On eBay, when I log in, the words "sign in" appear as 2 different fonts superimposed on one another, both in black. In Internet Explorer, it appears as white text on a blue background and is quite readable. Underneath, there is a box to a drop down menu ("what happened"), but not for "began when this" or "troubleshooting information. The really funny thing is: only, it has that way about my logon - works of fine wife! (Work that one!) It all started when I was running version 3.8.5 (I think it was). I downloaded version 4 hoping he could solve the problem, but it didn't. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but the problem is still there. I have several months now (I think - at least 2 months) while the computer was turned off and rebooted several times, without effect.

• XYGraph does not display some points. Why?

  I have a very simple code to trace error bars (idea isn't mine).

  However, the points are missing from my plot. Why? The second line is missing.

  I'd say it's a weird bug.  Looks like you're in LV 2011.  I see it in LV 2012 SP1.

  If you set the style of point for anything other than zero, the line then appears.  You can set it to a very small point style that shows little in the face of the line.

  In fact, it's simpler. You override the fonts page in the Preferences dialog box.

  Edit menu > Preferences > content

  In the section fonts and colors, click Advanced

  Check the box 'Allow pages to choose their own fonts' and out OK. Reload and icons should appear.

• List of "programs and features" Control Panel does not display some "details".

  I already have 'Last used' in the menu of details and the column IS showing on the list of programs. but the data is empty for all the programs.   I have a LOT of details added selected and all columns in the details chosen gave except this one (but then, how can I trust the lack of data in other columns?)  I wonder why?  Believe me, I have used many of them!  Secondary question is: How to fix , and if it can be fixed in the Panel, is there another way I can get the same info?

  There seems to be some missing details in programs and features.

  Make the SFC (System File Checker) scan and see if the problem occurs.

  Use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7 system files

• Firefox does not display a text on some pages.

  I noticed that on some pages, Firefox does not display some texts. I have the latest version of Firefox installed and my flash and java are updated. The text appears correctly on Chrome and IE. Please see my example in the screenshots of the stevenson.edu Web page. Does anyone know what I can do to solve this problem or if there is some kind of plugin need me to see some content? Thank you.

  The site appears to be using an old 1.2.0 version of MooTools which is not compatible with curent releases Firefox.

  I scoured the internet for a solution to this problem, but finally I found no, so I now look forward to Microsoft technical support.

  I have the game Command and Conquer the first decade of the value. I am well aware that EA has launched this pack at the Golden time of XP, so technically it is not supported by Windows 7 or 8, but I won't give up as I've had them before work. My computer is a Dell Inspiron 7010 processor i5 with Windows 7 X 64.

  To start, I went the installation process. By running the installer as administrator for Windows XP SP3, they installed without problem from the disk. The old C & C (up to RA - 1) games work fine. Generals had a problem at the launch of her, but I found a patch that fixed. Red Alert 2 is loads different well that-it up and works very well, but it is missing parts of the menu-it does not display some component video for me. I would like to provide a screenshot, but all my screen capture software is able to 'see' videos somehow I can't and displays and buttons, as they should. Now, I know the layout of the menu, so I can't get into the game itself, and it plays very well most of the time - with only a few missing elements, which appears once again to my screen capture software, but not on my screen. This is a common bug for this game and seems to affect only the newer computers, 7 and 8. My brother has this game on his old HP laptop running Windows 7 X 32, and he managed to solve this problem by changing a few settings .ini. I tried it myself without success, and after tinkering with the compatibility some more, did not find the answer to this problem. It is clear that the game works well on Windows 7, but it does not display properly.

  Well, then everything through a wire dead on Tom material, I found a link to a YouTube video. It is long and a bit hard to follow, so I'll save you all the trouble. The problem with the buttons is on the screen and for some reason weird needs of Windows 7 (and 8, hopefully will find soon) this second weird monitor added to make it work.

  Go to 'Screen Resolution' and click on "detect" - then appears open, put in place a new monitor in the #2 (or whatever the accommodation is planned) using all the default graphics card is for your machine. Mine is a laptop, so I had a choice - I doubt it would make much of a difference, what graphics card you choose, but this guy would recommend grabbing one "default". Once you have done this, say the new view to go via the VGA input anyway, then save it. Once it is ready, select the 'new' view and select "Display Extend" under settings. The screen will panic for a second, and then ask you to save the changes-do that and you're golden.

  The thing about this difficulty that upset me, is that it is easy and totally weird. I have no idea why it suits it. I have no idea why he did what he did. It works well - for red alert 2 Yuri revenge both. I hope this will help someone and another not go review the problem I experienced just!
