  I use 9 Captivate at work.  I have installed text to voice.  It's weird.

  I noticed that when I play the audio that you don't hear the words.  When I play it as a project, sometimes you can hear every word.

  • For example, the text is "Meeting Donna, deputy executive of Harvey."  All you hear is "Chief of staff."  I do not silence in front of the sentence so it won't cut words.  But in vain.
  • Another problem: the blade is "Meeting Donna."  Then the above sentence is the first sentence of the audio.  On this particular slide, I hear 'meeting Donna.  Answer to Donna. "I have deleted and re - recorded audio several times.
  • I don't want closed captioning.  I should have checked top (where you see the audio and TTS symbols).  Alternatively, just check every line of the audio.

  Everyone here has correctly installed and used the NeoSpeech and Loquendo voices on a Windows 7 64-bit system?

  I work with the paid version of Captivate 5 (in English). I ran the installer on the DVD and see the voice in my intervention Management window. I can choose one of the voices (Paul, Stefan, Kate, etc.) and click on generate Audio. An audio file is generated, but whatever the choice, the voice always seems the same. I don't know if I'm hearing Microsoft Anna or - maybe - it's Kate. My guess is that it is Anna (the voice of integrated system).

  I uninstalled, run Adobe, reinstalled everything several times with reboots abundant Cleanup utility.

  I then asked a colleague to install Captivate 5 and voice on his machine. She reported the same results: the same audio female is generated little matter of what voice my colleague selects in the response management window. It turns out that his system is also a 64-bit Windows 7 computer.

  Even if you don't have a solution for me, can someone tell me it works correctly on their own Win 7 x 64 machine?

  I ask because I have a problem with voice in Captivate 4 on this computer, so I really think there's a problem with 64-bit.

• Slow down the text to voice speech

  I use text-to-speech on Captivate 4.  Essentially, I like the text-to-speech feature; However, sometimes the voice is simply too fast.  I don't want to add unnecessary punctuation because I use the same text for captioning.  Anyone know how to slow down the voice (Paul), so people can actually follow what he says.

  Adobe has established VTML in Captivate 4, which is a language for the text to speech.

  It looks like this (the color added):

  Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet \pause, \speed=30 adipisicing elit computer of \speed=30 \speed=50 \pause, sed eiusmod tempor ut \pitch=20 storage

  The \pause, creates a second break half and and a \pause. creates a complete break seconds

  The \speed= changes the speed for all of the text that comes after the tag in this segment.  In this case, I took up to 30 and then brought back up to 50 before the break and then down again at the end.

  Thte \pitch= change the tone of the speech.  I did very deep at the end.

• How fit train you to Captivate 9 text for mac?

  Can't seem to find it anywhere

  Clearly stated, there is no support this level of text controls within Captivate for any platform.

  Text will be issued in the form of a graph to the publication, but other forum posters are complained that it is converted to a web font that secure before that happens.

  The scenery building a Photoshop image layers with smart objects, will probably be your best approach to achieve this level of control. You will need to carefully manage the resolution if you have bandwidth for the publication restrictions.

• Importation of PowerPoint in Captivate 9 text

  From what I've read all the text imported from PowerPoint to Captivate is imported as an image.

  I tried to change the text in the 'Edit in Microsoft PowerPoint', but it always ends with an error message or the plant or hanging - just really disappointed.

  The good news is your assertion is not entirely correct.

  The bad news is: text on the slides ARE the IMAGES AS IMPORTED, after being merged with the background and imported as a background SWF CP with timing as indicated in the Panel animation in PPT.

  Possible workaround:

  Elsewhere in these forums, I did on how to extract graphic elements of a PPT by conversion to a PPTx and rename a zip and navigate through the folders of messages. You will be rewarded with graphics, you can drag the library of Cp and animate at will.

  Make sure that your operating system (Windows or Mac), an office / version PowerPoint and Cp are up-to-date.  But there are incompatible versions.

• Captivate 9 - text entry area - cannot navigate through the input of text boxes on the same slide using enter key (works only tab)

  I designed a slide that has 3 areas of text entry.

  I need the user to be able to type in their response to the first box and then press the ENTER key, it will pass them in the next text box. After typing in their response to the second box, press ENTER, and then have developed pass to the third area.

  I don't want to use tab, I want to go to work as a shortcut key, so this works well on all devices. It feels like a trip to the logic of the user.

  I removed the button SUBMIT and check the validate user input.

  I put the shortcut key to ENTER in propriety / Actions area

  However, after that type in an answer and pressing on enter, the focus is not moved in the input text box available at the following address on the same blade.

  This happens regardless of browser (tested Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and IE9/10) and also OS - Windows 7, Mac OSX 10.9, 10.10 and latest version of iOS

  Only the tab key works (Ive even tried with other keyboard shortcuts and it always comes back to TAB).

  Indeed, your problem is related to the Enter key as a shortcut key, not to have multiple TEB and one absolutely validation button. Take a look at this article very old (you are not the first to ask about this):

  I just took Captivate 8!

  In my first draft, I have created a new slide and have added about 40 seconds of audio narration on the slide.

  I've added several legends of text on the slide and then used the timeline so that each ball appears in the appropriate location in the audio.

  When I "play" the timeline by pressing the icon of reading the SCRIPT, narration and captions are perfectly synchronized.

  However, when I choose one of the options "PREVIEW", while the narrative plays perfectly, no subheadings (other than the first) never appear.

  What I am doing wrong?

  You probably have a box click, button, text entry area or a smart shape configured as a button on the slide. Each of them is paused playback.

• Captivate 4 text entry box Bug (?)

  I'm really not sure if it is indeed a bug, or I could just be missing something else.

  I created a very simple project of 30 slides in Captivate 4 with some text entry areas. What is the peculiarity of the ETB, is that they contain a = (equal) sign which must be validated, e.g. = New.  I publish the project in AS3 and whoooah problem occurs.

  I enclose below a screenshot of the published output.

  Have someone else encountered this problem?

  I also discovered that when I move to AS3 to AS2 there is no problem at all.

  If the problem is resolved by deleting the = character in the text box, then I would say that Captivate is tripping over it as if it were a piece of code.

  I would call it a bug, but I know that there are other characters and symbols which have been found to cause problems.  I put the brackets [] once in a CC text and that polluted a project as well.

  Save as a bug or feature request and see what happens.

  In the meantime, you may need to find another way to convey your point in the lesson without using this method of text box?
