• Captivate 9: project offshoot freezes and no longer preview or publish

  I have a captivate project 9, with branching activated. Whenever I went to preview or publish the project it crashes, on slides at random.

  The branching is created using advanced actions of "go to...". "and I have tried editing to HTML5, SWF and both.

  I even enabled scalability, tested on different browsers and tried a load of different patches!

  Any ideas?

  You said branch never updated before, so I didn't know who was involved.

  I came across several issues where conscious branch comes into conflict with other parameters of such Captivate that submit all the and other options quiz.

  If conscious Branch participated in this issue and turn it off has advantages, then I would say that your actual issue is somewhere in your quiz slides, or perhaps with the pre-test if you have one.

• Published video overview will not play with active captioning

  Hello Adobe community!

  I am having some problems with the activation of the subtitles.  Before recently upgraded to Captivate 8, I created my 7 Captivate training videos. I activated CC through the Publisher of skin for all videos and had no problem with reading.

  Last week, I upgraded to 8 Captivate.  Yesterday, I have converted one of my videos of Captivate 7 to 8 Captivate.  I made some changes by adding a table of contents, edited one of the slides and double-checked all my settings of CC next Dr. Pooja Jaisingh captioning video.  I posted the video (like SWF) to test the reading, and once again everything worked well.  I made a slide more change then re-released the video.  When I went to play the video, bar of playback controls have been 'broken' and everything crushed at the top left of the screen (see screenshot).

  After making several captivate restarts and computer restarted I narrowed the issue down to captioning.  If I uncheck close captioning in the skin, the preview of the video and video editor published play fine.  As soon as I "check" captioning still once, the playback bar is broken.

  I am at a loss and have no idea how fix the video.  I need the captioning option closed in the video.  If anyone has any suggestions or ideas of how to fix it please let me know.

  Captioning should not do that.

  I suggest that you remove the skin of your project and select a different skin from Captivate 8 to see if the problem goes away then.  It is possible, there are a few conflicts with the skin, applied initially in the earlier version of Captivate.

  Have CS5 installed on a desktop computer and a laptop computer for the trip, but now have another laptop that I can use more for travel. • Impossible to reinstall &amp; activate win, help please

  An Optiplex 790 supplied w/win7pro. virus messed up so badly he had to erase and start over. He didn't restore factory disk. Media is long gone. I have the key # on the side. I tried a dozen ways to rebuild blocks of MS and it me at every turn. I was able to download win7 from MS, but not with an OEM key. I tried a win8 Dell another disc, but do not have the key. Were responsible for win7 but not activate a detail win7pro upgrade dvd and I have the key with this but he doesn't like it. Tried the key from another Dell supplied with win7. win10 downloaded, but he does not like any key I. don't want to order and wait days for Dell to send a new drive. Someone get out me of this rat maze before MS I'm going crazy. Please, I beg you.

  Did you give a shot to the phone's toll-free activation service, although its toll-free number in Finland. I reinstalled Win 7 on several second hand Dell machines, and most of the time the OEM license on par with the machine key failed automatic activation.

  If you are not real now, you will be not true in win 10, and no you will not get an activation key in the future.  You must purchase a license.

  Thought I had lost all my files with telephone numbers.  Finally realized that they were not imported in outlook notes.  The files are for the most part, windows pda based in the pwi format files.  Short to go in all the files and I hope that switching .doc is there any software to do what I can recover the data? (there are nearly 200 files)

  I think you can convert the .pwi .docs using activesync.

  Search for the device to desktop tab, the rules, the conversions.

  Windows Media Player 12 will play no longer DVD discs or files for licensing reasons.

  If you are running Windows 8 Pro, you can get a free Activation from center of the media until January 31.

  Media Center WILL read DVDs and will also allow the media player to play video files more... but not DVD.

  If you do not Win Pro 8, you need the upgrade pack to Windows 8 Pro that contains Media Center.

  The only other option would be a 3rd party player and set it as the default value for the DVD.

  When you installed the patch for version 9.0.2 did you clean the preferences and delete the folder documents\Adobe\eLearning active Public Layouts?
