Captivate 9.0.2 - Internet Explore 9 (IE9)

Hi all

We have recently updated our Captivate from 9.0.1 to 9.0.2.421. Now, at the launch of a HTML course that was published in the version 9.0.2 the course is no longer lance in IE9. All that you see is the spinning of infinite preloader and receive the following errors:

SCRIPT438: Object does not support property or method 'requestAnimationFrame '.

CPM.js, character of the 1249 78 line

SCRIPT5007: Failed to get the value of the property "LMSGetValue": object is null or undefined

scormdriver.js, 3500 5 character of line

We still Captivate 9.0.1 on a few machines here, so we published on those test and classes to load properly (as they did) in IE9.

Captivate is more compatible with IE9 so someone else knows issues since the update?

See you soon,.

Ross

I reported this as a bug 2 days ago and Adobe have provided a fix that I'm sure they'll come out in a version update shortly. They were very quick to respond asking me for more information/testing in a few hours to present the bug and a fix in 2 days. Well done Adobe!

THE FIX (directed by email from Adobe)

Hi Gary,.

We have an intermediate benchmark for you that you can download from the following location and replace it in the Captivate installation folder:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/5j9dpp284ywpin0/CPHTMLPublish.dll?DL=0

(1) make sure that your version of Cp is 9.0.2.421.Check to help > about Adobe captivate...

(2) take backup of the original file before you replace it.

(3) consider replacing CPHTMLPublish.dll in the following C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 9 x 64 location.

Let us know if this solves your problem.

  • Captivate SWF 9 Internet Explorer will close to end of module

So we have some old technology remotely

A back-up in the html version that used will consult on tablets, that I published as SWF for retail PC using internet explore. Some are still using Windows 2000.

Question No. 1 is not if badly - fonts are lost when employee between their name. I used Ariel as web-safe, but it is IE after all - I can live with that

2nd edition is bad. The last slide has a button for "Output" of the module. It is in the properties of the button = exit.  Internet explore it simply hangs (or fails), the only way colleagues can come out is to close internet Explorer (X at the top right of the window) not a great experience. This also happens on Windows 7 machines so I think it is IE rather than windows.

Does anyone have experience of the publication for internet explore by using the exit command?

    Enjoy a round work

Put a clickbox on the last slide so that it stops before reaching the last image. It should then work.

We also have a free swf/widget on our website that does this.

  • Captivate 7 HTML5 "Loading"... "error in Internet Explorer 11

We are now in the creation of Captivate HTML5 projects include MP4 video on some slides.  Once published and uploaded to our server, the slides with video will be occasionally and randomly (it does not happen all the time) "hang up" with a "Loading" grey... "screen on top.  This essentially freezes the unit and you can not continue.  This only seems to happen in Internet Explorer.

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? I use 7 Captivate.

I worked through other bugs that are produced in Chrome and Firefox, but it lingers still to explore.

The "loading" animation shows the video is buffering and which is usually a sign that your current bandwidth of the end-user is not high enough to keep the bitrate of the encoded playback video.

In other words, if the video is encoded at 300 kilobits per second reading and your internet bandwidth to the destination computer is not at least 300 kilobits or more, so unless you use a preloader, you will find at some point the video will buffer.  The percentage of preloader helps to overcome the shortfall to some degree.  If the video still stops at halfway and buffers, then you must increase your bandwidth or increase your percentage preloader.

There are a few other variables, but these are the most important.

  • Internet Explorer + captivate 3 = problems

    Hello

Sorry if this question has already been answered elsewhere in the forums. I have 3 Captivate and have done several projects captivate importantly screenshots. I've created an animation .swf into Flash, which has exported and imported some excitement in my captivate project on screenshots (it's an arrow pointing to a program). I finished my captivate project, published and put online.

When you view the project in Firefox 5.0, all right.

When you view the project in Internet Explorer 7.0, all right, except that the arrows are not displayed. .Swf animations do not appear.

I think I did all right - the fact that Firefox displays animations mean that the captivate project is not having trouble finding the .swfs.

    Any suggestions? Thank you!

    * Edit: I actually found what the problem was. I had made changes and reloaded the page in IE but not clear cache and he was remembering the earlier versions. Thanks anyway!

  • I get a "MALICIOUS URL BLOCKED" message when you connect to gmail or iGoogle home page, ONLY WITH FIREFOX (not with Internet Explorer). Help!

For the past two weeks, whenever I connect to gmail or iGoogle home page I get a message from avast! Antivirus (free version) saying that it has detected a malicious site. This only happens when using Firefox. No message is displayed if I connect using Internet Explorer 8. I use Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3, avast! Version 6.0.1367 (updated daily), Mozilla Firefox 10.0. I also use Malware Anti-Malware and SUPER Anti Spyware, bytes that are also updated regularly. The only recent downloads in my system were version 10.0 of Firefox and Microsoft Updates. I even tried to roll back to version 9, no change or improvement. This is the URL that is blocked, as shown in the pop-up message: OBJECT: http://74.50.117.107/js/je.php?u=739ec4a2-4903-4c0d-aee6-bdb3d2cdb87c & a = 200 & i = 111 & s = 0 INFECTION: PROCESS URL: MAL: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe. What worries me, because it barely resembles the horizon, and I do not use IE, it is slower and does not include Ad Block, which I use a lot (apart from the fact that Microsoft is trying to push me to buy Windows 7 * IE9 does not work with XP *, which would require the upgrade my computer and for the moment there is no budget available.). I thank in advance for the help, you can send my way.

  • I want to transfer/sync my "Favorites" Internet Explorer 9 for Fire Fox, which proposes that "bookmarks". How to import my favorites of the Firefox browser?

I was unable to view Comcast videos, only, using IE 9, and a Comcast technician came to my home to fix the problem. He could not resolve the issue within IE9 and I to use a type of model of laptop Lenovo R500. Technology has suggested that I use Mozilla Fire Fox for several reasons: 1) Fire Fox offers better security. and (2) it fixed the problem of me not being able to watch videos of Comcast, which I can't see in Fire Fox but not IE. I can most of the videos in both browsers, earlier Comcast video in Internet Explorer. I have used IE for many years and important Web sites stored in my "Favorites" IE function, but when I transferred its use for Fire Fox only imported Favorites and not my 'Favorites '. How can I get my 'Favorites' easily imported in Fire Fox?

  • JavaScript in Internet Explorer still does not work

I followed all the steps of http://community.skype.com/t5/Windows-desktop-client/Solution-for-empty-blank-login-screen/td-p/1008... but still javascript does not work on Internet Explorer 11 (Windows 7, 64-bit, with or without the module running). I even reinstalled Internet Explorer.
I also added skype.com to trust sites and everything, that must be enabled to allow working active javascript.

I did the LoginCleanup and it says "System cannot find the path given." and twice "system does not have the given file". (translated from the German by myself, I guess than its counterparts in English)

Well I think that regsvr32 jscript.dll and regsvr32 jscript9.dll worked well in c:\windows\syswow64 and c:\windows\System32, files can be broken (perhaps other software changed). How can I fix this problem without having to download the files of the suspiscous websites?

    Thank you

Scripts can be disabled by your anti-virus application.

Now try IE11 uninstalling and reinstalling IE9.

In order to uninstall IE11 you should go to the Windows Control Panel-> program and features-> view installed updates-> Microsoft Windows-> Internet Explorer 11.

  • Internet Explore has stopped working - question of the biometric authentication service

My Elitebook 8540p has developed a problem where I get the error message - Internet Explorer has stopped working... Turn it back on.     I am running Windows 7 32 bit.   And using IE9.

After some internet reading, I started my services of neutralization.    I finally got down to a service that is causing the problem.

Biometric Authentication Service Digital Persona Inc.

When I disable the service in the services of the MSconfig System Configuration and reboot, I use internet explore without any problem.    (I've identified some Web pages which would agrivate the question.)

The deactivation of the Service of Authenticaton of Biomitric causes the scanner to not work.     I tried to reload the driver for fingerprint reader, and the HP Protect tools Security Manager.

Any idea how I can activate the biometric authentication Service and not IE stopped working the issue?

    j1bissig

I had the same problem on my HP Pavilion dv7 and had the chance of getting a solution.

I, too, put the finger on biometric authentication as the problem Service.  By disabling the service, Internet Explorer worked well; except, now, I had no finger analysis feature.  I installed the latest version and it worked for a few sessions and then the problem comes back.

Looking at my updates, I realized that the Flash is set to update at the same time, the problem started.  I tested by activating the biometric authentication Service.  Instead, I disabled the Flash add-on in Internet Explorer and it did not work again; except, now, I had no Flash.

Searching online, I came across this post from Adobe:

Post on the Adobe Forum: IE9, Windows 7 64-bit Flash causes "Internet Explorer has stopped working".

I followed the instructions in this post, including the "clean install" and reverted to version 10.3 of Flash.

Post on the Adobe Forum: how to return to a previous version of Flash Player?

Now, all the features work correctly.

  • Impossible to print a Web page using photosmart premium c309a using Internet Explorer 9.

I just installed Internet Explorer 9. Now, I can't print a Web page using my network photosmart premium c309a. I also have a Photosmart c6250 networked and I peut print for her. What gives? Am I missing something? I know that this is a known problem by searching the problem and Windows solution does not help.  I have no problem with the c309a print when I go to the internet, it's just a problem of Web page with IE9.  All/any help would be appreciated.

HP helped me by making me install a different driver. Download and install the printer driver 6980. After installation, go to the printer properties and add a new Standard TCP/IP port and use IP address for the c309a.  I don't think I'm missing something, but I received the information from their chat support.  Then, when you want to print from IE9, choose the 6980 printer (which is actually the c309a printer).  This HP support doesn't help.  You must talk to a living person who knows something about printers.

I hope this helps.  In fact, I switched to Mozilla Firefox as my default long ago, and it works very well with the c309a printer.  I only got this solution because I could be chatting with them on another printer and I mentioned that I could not print from IE9.

  • Internet Explore cannot download.

Internet Explore cannot download, the connection with the server was reset

    or

the time is out.  With this I can never do no downloading, installation or upgrade.

    Help, please.

That's the problem with your connection Internet Service Provider (ISP) or your connection to the server. Try restarting your PC and turn off your router or wireless for 10 minutes and try again. Long download, you will need to download and install a download manager in IE8.

Note: IE9 and IE10 already build with Download Manager, but you must have at least Windows 7 install IE9.
