• Captivate 7 - several test results?

  Hi all

  I'm pretty new to Captivate, but use more Adobe CS for years.  I have trouble understanding how to do one or two things about the results of the quiz, and I was hoping someone might be able to help.  I have a 10 question quiz is worth 1 point each for a total of 10 points, and I slide before and after the test.  I am on Captivate 7 on Windows 7.  If all goes well, Miss me something obvious!  I defer to the greater knowledge of the forum and the users of power I see here!

  
  

  First of all, I would like the results slide to display different information according to pass or fail.  Also, I was expecting to set up the continue button to go back to slide 1 if the user fails the quiz.

  My first question, I did a little research and found this tutorial: using advanced Actions (CP5) to show the conclusion, based on several partitions

  I tried to add several legends and images, hiding a game to fail conditions and showing that the other defined in function pass and enter the advances in stocks to add the conditional script.  I put it to run to enter the slide of results, with captionPass and a green check mark set to display with a note of 7 or more, and captionFail, and a red X mark to show with a score under 7.  Unfortunately, I can't understand why he continues to display the legend and the images to spend conditions even when the quiz is down.

  Secondly, I would like to define conditional actions on the continue button so that it moves to the next slide on the pass and jumps back to slide 1 failure.  It doesn't seem like I'm able to change the default buttons added to the result slide, I'm able to add my own buttons or click on the boxes that would be my workaround.  Is there a possible way to achieve this functionality?

  All the help that a smarter person is willing to share with me would be much appreciated!  I have included my workspace screens, the quiz options and advanced actions.

  Hi all

  Well, I finally found my own solution.  I remembered that this post had not responded, so I thought I would provide some closure for me and anyone who is having a similar problem.

  Captivate 7 requires a significant amount of trial and error to track problems of this kind.  I literally had to use all the combinations of options and settings before you find what standing things upwards.  It was a combination of the conscious 'branch' parameter have a conflict with the option «resume quiz»

  I had to remove the test of recovery and on/off button each setting and each configuration test, I found that disabling the induction of branch resolved the problem.  This in turn allowed me to add a tip action on the screen after the result slide, which allowed me to return the user to slide 1 with reset questions.

  Not sure why it was so hard to track down.  I know I am a new user to the CP, but the parameters described were in my first few screenshots.  Logically, it tells me that everything in CP is not obvious to even the most advanced users.  This is not a flaw with the people using CP7, it's a flaw with CP7 itself in my opinion.  Too complicated with too much setting conflicts that are not easily recognized.  Well, sometimes you just got to keep hitting your problem until you create your own solution.

  Thanks to Ron and Lily to spend their time trying to help me, I really appreciate it.  I learned a lot about CP7.  But I hope for a little more off CP8, we will be upgrading soon.

• Captivate 8 customize quiz results message

  Hello

  I was given a Captivate file and I need to translate everything for the French. I translated everything, with the exception of a single message on the results of the quiz screen. When the user fails there is a message that displays "Sorry, you failed the quiz" and I need to translate it. I looked everywhere but can't seem to find where to update this message, including under the menu Preferences of Quiz.

  How can I change this sentence? What is a variable that controls the message here?

• Can Captivate 6 export quiz results/interactions to Excel?

  We use the option in Captivate 6 internal server reports. I thought there was a widget for this, but I couldn't find.

  We would like to know if we can capture data to a great quiz and then throw in the internal server, or vice versa.

  With Adobe Captivate Quiz results analyzer, you can go and get the result of interactions and the Quiz reports and export it in. CSV, which. CSV can be opened in MS Excel.

  I don't know how to ask this question, so I'll just give you the result, so I'm looking:

  In Captivate, I create a question 20 survery (yes/no responses). I need captivate to count the number of times where the user has selected the 'YES' and based on this number, to provide a result/answer.

  Example:

  (Total number of 'YES' chosen by the user)

  1-5 "you are happy.

  6-10 "you are extremely happy."

  11-15 «you are annoyingly happy»

  I know that the variables are involved but don't know where to start.

  No, you can have only a quiz in a file. That's why the score slide "moved" to extend the scope of quiz.

  You can show the results of the first quiz, but need to create that partial score slide yourself, using system variables Quizzing. But the final score will always be the partition of all slides. If you don't want a separate partition, you will need to create the quiz 'investigation' using slides custom instead of the default question slides.

  I discovered the answer. I was clicking the "next" option does not submit on every issue and that was not pushing the correct information on the results page.

  I create several trivia MC very basic for a small training audience. Their managers would like to be notified by e-mail, if the students passes/a failed the test. Is this possible with Captivate 7?

• Captivate 7 question Quiz results reports

  Our course is set up with 104 total quiz questions. 52 are scattered throughout. They are there only to prepare the student for the final exam. They are classified (because I want the student to realize when they get the wrong or right answer), but they are not defined in the report (because I don't want the calculated in the final score).

  The second series of 52 questions are the same exact thing but in an order random and all bundled together. These are the final exam, if of course they are noted and reported.

  But when the student past review, the final results page tells them they took 104 questions.

  Is - this ranking/reports all 104, or just the last 52?

  Is it possible to do this then it reflects only the last 52?

  If this isn't the case, I highly recommend this as a feature for future versions. It is not uncommon to have preparatory quizzes to course to a final review and will are two separate entities.

  The number of questions will always take into account questions, know that it can be very frustrating. An offer of workaround is to avoid using this variable cpQuizInfoTotalQuestionsPerProject of system which is used on the score slide, replace it with a fixed number, if you want to show that (is that really necessary?). And please enter a feature request, I did it already several times for this problem, but... as long as only a minority of users asked for it, will never do it.

  Before the test questions are not counted, but those may not be an option?

• Captivate quiz results page

  I created a multiple choice quiz in Captivate. On the result page, I want a different image to display based on the score of users. I have 3 different images and 3 rating categories. 25-50 50-75 75-100. Is this possible?

  I guess you never used a tip or shared action?

  And you let several attempts on Quiz level (as in this case, you will hide the image, which is already visible at the entrance of the score slide).

  May explain, but not sure that you will be able to reproduce:

  • Insert the three images, label them (just an example for the labels): Im_low, Im_medium, Im_high (for the score low, medium, high)
  • invisible at the beginning by uncheck the Visible output in the properties panel - if you allow that an attempt
  • Create an advanced conditional CheckScore action with three decisions, each decision will use only the first part (and not the ELSE part):
    • First 'low' IF cpInfoPercentage is less than 25
      See the Im_Low
    • Second 'average' IF cpInfoPercentage is less than 50 AND
      cpInfoPercentage is greater than or equal to 25
      See the Im_medium
    • Third 'High' IF cpInfoPercentage is greater or eaqual to 75
      See the Im_high

  This action should be assigned the score slide in the accordion shares, enter

• How to remove the popup name & Email 9 Captivate?

  I'm looking for the answer to this already for a few weeks now, there are a lot of positions, but only a few real answers so I hope you guys can help me. I'm coding (in PHP) an LMS in-house using Adobe Captivate 9 where the results of the quiz are displayed in "internal server". It works well and I changed the InternalServerReporting script by default, so it doesn't push the results of our database so we can use them in our administration console. Each user who take a course must connect first if we already know the name and e-mail address of this user, but always at the end of each quiz, Captivate gives the popup where it asks to enter the name and address of the user by e-mail: A few months ago, when I was still with Captivate 8, I found a post somewhere (unfortunately, I can't remember where) notes 1 setting that you can change (not in a menu, it was more in an ini file or the registry key, and as I remember not even in the project, but more in the installed software) and that did the trick. Now I upgraded to 9 Captivate and the same returns but can not find this fix more. Someone may know how to get rid of this popup in Captivate 9 or even where to find the original answer I found months ago? Thanks Micha

  The pop-up window is displayed because Captivate doesn't know all the details of the student, however it needs to display the results.

  Stores to capture these values in the variables (e-mail) cpQuizInfoStudentID and cpQuizInfoStudentName (by name) and you can pass these through the URL that you use to start the course:

• The quiz settings: modification after the first attempt Action

  Hi all.

  I'm creating a series of learning units, and each has a quiz at the end. I was asked to set up each unit so that the user gets two attempts to pass the test. If they fail on their first attempt, they go to the beginning of the unit to review additional documents. If they fail in their second attempt, an email gets automatically generated to the author of the series. Two options are available in the test configurations, but it seems to me that you cannot choose a different action on each attempt.

  If they fail on their first attempt, I guess that you gave them the chance to take the Quiz by clicking on the button on the Quiz results slide.

  When the student clicks on resume Quiz, it will return back to the first interactive object scored in the project.  This is the beginning of the scope of Quiz.  If you add a button or click on to the first slide of the project, you effectively extend the reach of Quiz so that the slide and the slide in which the learner is jumped to when they click on resume Quiz.  This behavior is usually something that confuses the Captivate newbie authors, but you can use it to your advantage in this case.

  This button Retake Quiz will not present AFTER their first attempt, so the only option available after the second attempt will be revision quiz on (if you allow) or click on continue to go to the next slide after the Quiz results slide.

  You can use the value in the cpQuizInfoAttempts of system variables in Actions Advanced conditional.  For example, you can create an advanced conditional Action that looks at the value of this variable and if it is greater than 1, perform the action to send an email.  You define this conditional Action advanced fire OnSlideEnter of the blade immediately AFTER the Quiz results slide.

  Be aware that sending emails of Captivate is not a completely reliable method to get report that depends on a lot of things that are working properly and that are beyond your control.  For example mail client of the learner won't react to the mailto: event or learners themselves could not send the email (you can not automatically send an email to Captivate demeaned knowledge of the learner.)

• Re: Satellite U300 - no audio device installed

  Rercently I lost audio and one audit result is back there is no audio devices installed. I reloaded the driver Realtek which resulted the return audio, but only for a short while - I now have no audio devices installed (accoding to the control panel). How can I do for r-installation of the audio device (assumed Realtek) and what I am doing wrong?

  Remove the audio driver, clean the registry and restart. Download a [pilot | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp] if it does not it, there may be OS or hardware related issue. Then, you should to restore factory settings. If t still exists, there is a malfunction of the sound card

  My CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive disappeared from the Manager of devices and Windows Explorer about 2 weeks; I tried all the fixes the base of knowledge without result. When I put a CD in I can hear it running, but nothing happens, even when Windows says it's looking for a CD.

  However, when I put a Flash drive on a port USB, "reader of CD/DVD-ROM" appears in the device, Manager who think that Flash is a CD-ROM/DVD-ROM called drive'Sandisk U3 cruzer Micro USB device'.  Dev man lists the Flash exactly in the same way under ""hard drives "; " under "Bus USB controllers ' it is listed as'USB mass storage device'.

  Even with the USB flash drive, "'my computer ' still does not show aCD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive, but it puts a CD icon next to "U3 system", which he calls"(e) ". "

  PS my BIOS says for what it's worth, that my OS is Vista, when in fact it is XP PRO!

  Try this:

  1. click on start

  2. click on run

  3. type in diskmgmt.msc

  4. in the lower pane, scroll down until you see your device

  5. right click, choose paths and change the drive letter

  6. click on edit

  7. change if necessary

• SSM-IPS40 new show 50% CPU without traffic

  We are poised to deploy 2 ASA 5585 s with SSM-IPS40 modules.  IDM reports 8 CPU 100% usage for a total of 50% of the CPU usage.  IDM it brings by mistake?  I'm not finding a way to check on the CLI.  There is no traffic through these devices at the moment.

  From engine E3 updates, the IPS uses a different algorithm to manage his idle

  time and spend more time vote to reduce the latency of packets. Changes included E3, one

  Difficulty with a problem with a latency during low traffic loads. The fix was to have sensorApp

  Check buffers packets on the driver more often. So the package could be removed from the

  queue the fastest rider for analysis rather than wait for the pilot fill the queue

  before you pass it to sensorApp. This increased audit results in an increase in

  CPU usage.

  The measurement of the CPU usage can / will be high, due to the amendment to

  E3 engine, remote sensing interfaces for more polling data. It's OK like if/when the

  sensorApp process requires more time CPU, the amount that is using the mark is

  scaling dynamically to useful to determine the actual workload of sensor.

  So don't worry about the HIGH CPU but check the percentage of overhead on the IPS.
