Captivate 9 saved in the pdf format does not not in web browsers

Hello

I tried to download PDF files e-Learning interactive on my site to use as a portfolio. The e-Learning programs have been created in Powerpoint, and then loaded into Captivate 9 to add interactivity and saved as a PDF for the web. However, these PDF files opens in a web browser. The only problem I can find is when I open "Inspect" in each pdf, a warning indicates "/deep/ based communicator". Unfortunately, I do not know what it means or where to go from here. Any ideas gratefully received.

I don't know exactly, but it means that you have both Adobe Reader and Flash player (working together) were installed. What happens with this collaboration when the pdf file is displayed in (that) web browser, have no idea. It may also be due to something totally different, but I suspect it might be linked to this change for Adobe Reader (since XI (I think).

What is "Adobe XI" - Reader or Acrobat?

But, "Save as Adobe PDF" is a function of Word, independent of this Adobe software, you have installed.

My new Office Jet 8500 (A910-G) seems to correctly perform a scan to PDF, but the PDF file does not open, gives me the error message "the selected document cannot be opened" in PDF Complete.

I agree that it's a software because it works well with Adobe Acrobat.  It's just PDF Complete (which was free with my HP computer) does not work!

my toolbar (for the PDF edition) does not appear in a newly opened PDF file. What is the problem?

    Hi Joanne,

If you are unable to display the toolbar by choosing View > show/hide > elements elements toolbar, please send along a screenshot of what you see. (And just double check that you open your PDF files in Acrobat and not player - that is a mistake that I make here and there).

  • JavaScript in the PDF form does not online

With the help of this forum, I was able to create a PDF form that was javascript.  The javascript has been essentially if then statements. The person selects 'A' in the menu drop down one then they get 'B' or 'C' in the menu drop down two; If the person chooses "D" in the drop-down list a they get 'E' in the menu drop down two etc...  It works perfectly on my desk.  However, I tried to download it from our Web site and the javascript code does not work.  It allows the person to select a choice from the drop-down list of a but no matter what they choose dropdown two has nothing to select.  I have to do something special to make a PDF with javascript works on a Web site?

I use a PC running under Windows 7-64 bit operating system and try using Chrome and Firefox.  I have problems with Internet Explorer now.

Two of these browsers have their a viewer plugins PDF internal with very

bad support for JS code. So, if you use these plugins and not the

    Plugin Adobe, it won't work.

Does anyone know if there is a way to extract information from text from a PDF file?

Here's an overview of what I am able to see when I click on one of these objects.

The script is probably located under the action of MouseUp, the button, or in the form of script at the level of the doc.

To access the old go to the mode "To prepare the form" and then click with the right button and select Properties - Actions, and then click the command run JavaScript associated with the MouseUp event and change it. If the complete code is not there then it is probably a call to a function, you can use below.

To access the latter go to Tools - JavaScript - Document JavaScripts. Copy the code into an editor of plain text, such as Notepad and search for the definition of the function the name of function that you found above. The code should follow.

  • Trouble matching the color of the background of my displays the color of the background of a chart saved in the PDF format

    Hello!

I have produced a graph in matlab with a background color of R = 20 G = 33, B = 43. I saved then this background to PDF using export_fig (for some reason that this process has changed a bit the background color). Now I'm trying to match the background color of my poster of the graph, but given that the color has changed in the export process, I don't remember the RGB values. I tried to use the eyedropper on the PDF image, but the software said that it based the color measurement on a low-resolution RGB version since it's a PDF file, which ends up making the color applied to the background of the different poster than the chart.

So, I essentially need to precisely define the RGB values of the bottom of my chart.

Thanks for any help! If there is no confusion, I could send you my chart.

I don't remember the RGB values.

You can check values chromatic AcrobatPro matlab via print > overview of output > object Inspector. Here I chose the object Inspector of the popup preview and clicked on the object I want to taste.

I can see that the profile is sRGB and values of color in the form of percentages. To convert the percentages in ID RGB values multiplied by 256 (for example the channel red est.07800 x 256 = 20). Make sure the RGB profile assigned in your InDesign document is the same profile and plugin your background color of RGB RGB numbers.

  • Add the page button in PDF format does not work on the mobile device

I created a button in my form that generates a new page. This new page has been defined as a model (Named 'New Page') and hidden (page 2). My button is on page 1 and uses a command script to execute a JavaScript script (on the mouse down) what follows is this script:

    var a = this.getTemplate ('new Page');

    a.Spawn ();

Now, it works fine on my desktop. However, my problem is, I sent this form to myself, so I could fill it out on my phone. All of the s form other functions working perfectly, except the button to generate a page does not work. I am currently using an Android and view the PDF file on the application Acrobat from Adobe.

    Thank you

    Kyle

I'm not aware of any mobile-based PDF Viewer that supports this method. Mobile versions of Adobe Reader supports a very limited subset of what support versions of office.

  • Bleeding with the PDF file does not. Help?

I created a 8.5 x 11 file in illustrator with a bleeding .25inch on all sides and saved as a PDF for printing, but there is still a white border on the edges of the paper.

Is it because the printer does not recognize the bleeding? I ask this because at first the printer want print on paper 11 x 17. It's a dealer to print FEDex Kinkos incidentally.

Please let me know any tips or recommendations. Thank you!

Very little focus on the toner to printers can print edge on board. That's why when you print on a sheet of 8.5 "x 11" ", even if you print to the edge, you'll probably find up to 0.25" white margin around the page. " There is nothing that you can do directly about it.

This is exactly why FedEx desktop recommended print on 11 "x 17" that would have allowed the full 9 "x11.5" surface printing, including bleed, to print on the sheet and you to adjust well to 8.5 'x 11' with printing to the edge via purging through your design. "

  • Designed messed up when my vector illustration saved in the PDF format

    Hi comrade of Adobe.

I searched my problem in this forum, but unfortunately, no one responded to the question.

My problem is that I created a logo in vector graphics in illustrator, and it has degraded with transparency. If the design is not converted to chart and save it as a pdf, it is absolutely perfect, however, when I convert graph and resize to a smaller size, the design is all messed up.

I tried some things but it gives me a scratch at the head.

Anyone who is facing this problem before and solved, it could be like this please let me know why it is like this and the solution.

    Thank you

    Kind regards

    Mike

    PS I use adobe cs6

The term you use convert graphic ot won't anyone say much at all since everything is considered graphic art.

So please use Lerm, which is undesrandable and specific. Isnance say you rasterize the first art? Flatten you transparency? Export you it to a file such as tiff or psd raster image.

O explain wah you mean convert to chart.

But my thought is that you shoukd first where the transpency before you do this graphic conversion and then see what happens.

MSO important use a professionally accepted term so you can have those who looking to assist you.

  • The PDF module does not work with Firefox 14.0.1

I have not found an Add on PDF that works with 14.0.1. I have to go to IE or Chrome when there is a PDF file to open.

If you're not opposed to the use of the plugin that ships with Adobe Reader X, this article might help: use the Adobe Reader to view or download PDF files plugin.

If you prefer Foxit Reader, it might be that you must activate the add-on or to update, and then turn it back on.

To check the disabled modules, try here:

Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Modules

Check as well the category Plugins and Extensions for your PDF readers. You will find the disabled items in a separate set at the bottom of the list.

To check the updates of the add-on, use the "gear" above the list.

  • Captivate 9 - characters on the Asset Store does not open. Images seem to be corrupted.

The characters downloaded from the asset store are corrupt, they will not open. Has anyone encountered this problem? If so how is it resolved?

I ran into this when I tried to open images in the image viewer / editors, but I could still place and use the image in Captivate through the menu of characters.

They may have the DRM or other coding anomalies that are not processed by applications, including PhotoShop image editing!
