• Course does not load in LMS

  We have a number of courses, we have created in Captivate 5.5 until we could proceed to 6.  It seems that most of these courses have had some sort of problem with loading and recovery.  They will begin to charge the player and just hang on 'Loading '. I read somewhere that resume data 5.5 did not play always nice with the LMS while we hoped to republish these courses in 6.

  My question is this: Going to republish a queue of 5.5 to 6 correctly fix/update resume data, or are we fundamentally no luck with these courses?

  Our complete situation is a little more complicated, but a clear answer to this would help us to get a piece of the puzzle and eliminate a variable.  We have reissued a 5.5 to 6, succeeded him, and he still seems to weigh on the loading screen. But the strange thing is, it works perfectly well with other networks.  We are not affected by any filter/firewall issue between our servers and the LMS, so I can't understand what makes Captivate courses especially hang on OUR network.

  Captivate 6 drivers totally new SCORM introduced from the same company that makes the LMS SCORM cloud online, which is apparently the most compatible SCORM LMS on the planet.

  Because these SCORM drivers were introduced, we were see much less reported LMS integration issues in this Forum of Adobe Captivate.  So I highly recommend that you upgrade to the Captivate, but I would say that you are upgrading to Cp7 now rather Cp6 and you will get the subscription type and that in the future all your licenses will use the software later.  Try to get the good integration with LMS is a moving target.

  Another thing I would say is that you make sure that there is no caching of content Captivate of the course is on your network.  It is possible that your problem could be related to old copies of course always being served by Proxy servers.  One way to test is to publish the same course with a completely different name and see if it suffers from the same problem.

• Captivate audio does not pausing in LMS after relaunch of bookmarking.

  My background is in Captivate 5.5.  I have audio attached to each slide and each slide contains a button 'Next' text to pause the slide at the end.  We use SumTotal LMS.  The course works very well if you start and complete it in one sitting. If I close and favorite of my place, then relaunch the course will begin where it left off and slides a break to the "next" button, but continues to go to the audio. "" I looked it up and down on both sides and that you can not solve this problem.  Several users have had this problem.  Any help would be appreciated I need to get this on-line course.

  Thank you very much!  I added the audio slide by slide and I at the beginning of each slide.  I will try to move a tenth or two out.

• Captivate 5.5 not followed the completion in LMS

  I have a short questionnaire created in Captivate 5.5 to monitor the realization of the plateau / LMS 5.8 success factors.  I use the method of return AICC.  SCORM is not an option.  No matter what options I choose, the LMS will not be complete.  It seems that the captivate quiz is not initializing the LMS.  Remains on the message 'Loading' longer than usual, he plays later.

  Here is the link for anyone else who looks for the answer.  Make sure you download the .dll file that corresponds to your version of Captivate (i.e. 5.0 works only for 5.0 and 5.5 works only for 5.5)

• Hyperlink in Captivate courses closed LMS window

  Someone has to meet this problem before?  I created a small pool in Captivate 5.5.  Some slides so that users can connect to and open a long video, we stayed on a hosting service.  When I preview the courses in Captivate, the link works fine.  The website opens and I can run the video.  But when I publish in our LMS (HealthStream) and try to make a link to the video, the LMS window closes immediately without going through the Web site.  This could very well be an LMS issue, but I'm desperate and hoping that someone else ran into this problem with HealthStream or other LMS.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  You have the updated link to open the video link in a new blank browser session or in the same browser?

  One thing to note here is that SCORM course were not initially designed (according to the SCORM standard) to connect outside of the module for all other content.  They are supposed to be completely autonomous units of learning.  Linking outside the SCORM module and open other windows, you can run the risk of disruption of communication with the LMS via the SCORM API.  Maybe that's why your LMS ends the session.  It could interpret your link to the video on the hosting service as a sign that you have finished reviewing the module.

  If the hosted video is FLV or F4V, have you tried streaming in the Captivate module like video slide instead of open it in a new browser session?

  Return to your LMS administrator and ask them why they have not put in place more firmly. The scenario you mention should not occur if the LMS is well attached.

  Some LMS have the contents of the course are in a folder outside the web space so that users can access the course URL directly.  For example, Moodle t - it this way and then shot the course content in a temporary folder when the learner clicks on the link ask a module.  No matter how your LMS is supposed to do, it is currently not configured correctly.

  Yes I got it the other day, I found that it was due to a drag and drop slide, I have reproduced the slide and remove the original and it is then loaded fine.

  Ok.  So you're screenshot compared to SCORM clouds now shows you're scoring 100% in the quiz, but your state of completion will still come out incomplete.  Then of course, your quiz notification settings not award success based on passing the test.

  Try to set your quiz the way I show this screenshot using SCORM 1.2 instead of 2004.

  

• Captivate 6 do not pick up NeoSpeech voices

  I followed the instructions to download Neospeech voices and performed the installation and it reported success but Captivate shows that Microsoft Anna.

  I can see voice Bridget, Chloé, Julie, Kate and Paul are in the folder C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe \VT Captivate 6 (32 bit) so how do you Captivate to connect?

According to you, notes, it seems that you have Windows 7 If you have settings specfiic or the Configuration for your project, follow these steps: 1) Close Adobe Captivate 62) go to this location: C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Adobe3) rename the folder "Captivate 6.0" to "1234" 4) launch Adobe Captivate 6 and check you see all the voices under management of speech.   Widgets are still there, including A3C, but they are still more occult than in CP7. Insert you of bracket, Widget (they are not in a menu of the button). • Can I download a Captivate course to connect AFTER incorporation of the animations of edge through the App package manager?

  I would like to include animations I've created along the animate and the App package manager, it's pretty easy. However, subsequently, I have a HTML course I can't download on Connect. When I ZIP it I am told by Connect it is an invalid format. Also, when I export a Captivate course as a course of HTML zipped, download it to establish a connection works, but the spinning loader shows indefinitely.

  So in case someone falls on this post with the same question, I discovered a way to sort of do that. I could not yet understand how to download the ZIP file to connect properly, but I could use the Interaction of Web object and load the HTML output to animate dashboard. It's just a folder with a bunch of files and an index file. Everything you do is choose the top-level folder, resize your interaction to fit, and all works well! No need to use the App Pakcager and animations can be inserted anywhere, anytime while you create your project.

  The Builder BlackBerry program was discontinued, these videos and quizzes are no longer online.  However, you can still download the laboratories.  The zip for the laboratories file contains a PDF file with instructions that would have presented videos.  Links to videos and quizzes will be removed from these web pages soon.

  I have three warnings with the same message:

  RUL-05717: The identifier "Header.Teachers.Courses"is not valid here.

  Where in my oracle.rules file I have three viewobjects talk about links via private key ids :

  3. Course

  And the road is correct: Header.Teachers.Courses .

  I created the following path expression:

  The facts of the ADF - BC view objects which are connected by links have incorrect types, which is why oracle that api rules can not form good objects of these types to the following process.

  Change these incorrect types for the types of objects of view necessary solved my problem.

  What is Windows 7 (64-bit or 32-bit) or is this Windows XP?

  If it's Windows 7, then you can right click on the downloaded zipfile (Captivate_6_Neo_Content_LS12.zip or Captivate_6_x64_Neo_Content_LS12.zip) and click on extract all or extract here. You can extract the content in the same folder where is saved the .zip file.

  After that it will extract that zip file, there will be a file named AdobePatchinstaller.exe, double click on it to start the installation. Captivate must be closed in editing Neo Speech voice.

• Captivate demo does not appear

  I use TC 3.5, have a machine with 8 GB RAM, large hard drive, fast processor.  I am using Captivate to record in demonstration mode at 1024 x 768.  I went out to the swf format.

  I followed the instructions of RoboHelp to the letter but still get this problem: the Captivate demo appears not in my CHM, except when you click on the view button result after compilation. He also appears in the overview of the topic ("Item selected View").

  It does not appear when you double-click the CHM file in a folder.  What watch is a sketch where the demo should be, with a red X in a box in the upper left corner.

  He will appear in WebHelp.  The code in the CHM seems OK for me:

  You mean in addition to claiming that people only use the CHM on 32-bit systems or offering instructions on how to launch the 32-bit help viewer?

  I don't think you can use the shortcut command to open an instance of Internet Explorer with the Captivate page. But should ensure the Captivate SWF and associated files (HTML, JS) have delivered and installed in the same folder as the CHM file. And depending on how your CHM has been launched, you might need the path to the script file because of the bug of Multipathing CHM see you when a CHM is initiated by an application.
