  The easiest way is to add a slug area to the document and put this information in the slug. It is possible to make a customization of brands printers, but I've never had much success. See www.indesignsecrets.com/downloads/mrk. pdf

  You need to contact HP about whether a repair is possible.  It is a hardware problem, not a software problem, and you can do that in Windows can ignore this error.

  It looks like you may have some saved jobs in your queue that need to be removed.

  Here's how:

  To clear the print queue, stop the print spooler service and delete all the jobs/print pending.
     
  You cannot delete all print jobs in the queue so that the Print Spooler Service is running.
        
  To stop the Print Spooler Service, click Start, run and enter in the box:
         
  services.msc
         
  Click OK to open the Services Applet.
         
  Locate the Print Spooler Service, right click and choose 'Properties' and then click on the "Stop" button to stop the Print Spooler Service is running.
     
  The option "Startup Type" of Service properties print spooler is usually set to "Automatic" (which is now a good time to check it out).
     
  If the "Startup type" is not set to "Automatic", set the "Startup type" to "Automatic" If that is your desire (which now is the time to check it out).

  After the reboot, check again the Spooler Service for printing and the 'Status' column for the print spooler must be read "started."

  I searched through the site, but is not a list, it is possible that XP is as high as it goes for compatibility.

  Lately the print when I print a document arrives at halfway of the printer, and then it goes back into the printer. The window says 'let dry ink '.   Ultimately after some trial and error, it seems the HP Photosmart printer is somehow 'paired' / 'connected' with my MacBook Pro.   I've never seen a widget of the arrow. I did see the animations of the arrow, what do you mean?

  If this is what you want, you're going to all this trouble. Just play an animation. A Widget interacts in some way.

  If what you want is an animation of the arrow, you will need to click on insert > Animation and forget the Widgets.
