• Captivate 8. no transfer of PowerPoint fonts?

  I use 8 Captivate.  I created a SLIDE show using the Bank Gothic Medium BT font.  First, I created a PowerPoint in Cap8 project, everything transferred perfectly.

  I made a few updates to the PPT file, then updated the file in Cap8, and the police has changed into something like Arial.  No matter what I do, I can't police for update to the correct font, even if it was originally transferred via.

  To try, I did an OTHER PPT presentation using the same font and started ANOTHER project of course 8, this time within the program (started the empty project, and then inserted the PPT presentation). This time the police have no transfer at all.

  Answering my own question:

  My solution was so simple, I'm embarrassed for relationship: I closed Captivate and reopened the program, and now my fonts transfer via.  It seems... (eh hem)... * someone * forgot that when you download and install a new font, you must close and reopen any program you have open where you will be working with fonts. In this case, I had two PowerPoint and Captivate open however, I opened PowerPoint AFTER I installed the police. So, Yes.  One solution.  If you experience this problem of fonts, try closing and reopening your project.  SAVE IF FIRST!

  It seems that your screen displays some graphical anomalies when you connect to your user name. I would use these troubleshooting steps in the following article on the resolution of screens:

  Restart your Mac in safe mode to reset the default display resolution.

  If booting safe mode doesn't resolve the problem, reset your Mac NVRAM and SMC to reset the video ports on your Mac to their default values.

  OK, it's probably a unique situation. I have two iPhones to verizon. One is a 6 sec more not active, the other is a 5s which is activated. Basically, I use 5S for when I go out (where I prefer to use a hand on a bigger screen), and I want to use the 6s more as a second phone (via continuity) exclusively at home (where I prefer a bigger screen on one-handed use), but I am running into problems.

  First of all, let me say that I tried a mini ipad for a few weeks... twice... and every time I found it is too big for what I wanted. I wanted a screen larger than my 5s at home, but I wanted to still be able to easily grab a single hand and use my thumb to scroll. And I wanted to put always in my pocket when I was moving from room to room of my house. The mini was simply too great for that. The 5.5 "more does the job much better. But then again, I prefer the small size of 5 when I when I go out, especially since I don't spend much time on my phone outside the House, so I couldn't use more to replace my main phone.

  Sorry... I'm a bit confused. Which phone has the SIM inside? You will use the 6 s + as an iPod Touch, but your post seems to say that you will use it as a phone your title says.

  Regardless, I think that you need to activate the "iPod Touch", using a SIM card, and then you could remove it. You would lose any function that relies on the SIM door of course.

  Activation of a phone is a thing of the part 2. One for the carrier, one for Apple. A real iPod Touch activation would be fair for Apple.

  I don't think or other device would do anything if not enabled. Internally, your two devices are phones and probably must be activated in this way. Out the SIM card after activation would be where your phone becomes an iPod Touch.

  I have myself recently built a HTPC using a card mother MSI Media Live Diva and Windows7 operating system. The package on Windows 7 Media Center in my opinion is excellent. It does everything I need. The only problem I have is not being able to prevent the audio device on the motherboard to get into a State of sleep. There is a loud as it switches on and outside. MSI do not plan to provide the necessary drivers for Windows7, so I bit the bullet and bought thinking that Vista Home Premium media centers would be the same. Vista media center offers userbility limited compared to Windows7. Is there an update that will make the center more like Windows7 vista support?

  Unfortunately, there is no download available that offers the functionality of the version of Windows7 for use on a Vista machine.  Here are all the available downloads and you can see that this is not one of them: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx?displang=en&qstechnology and http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/results.aspx?freetext=Windows+media+center&displaylang=en&stype=s_basic.  Make sure that your version has all the updates, because they can add a bit of the featurs you are looking for.

  I had a Thinkpad T61 14 "widescreen notebook for about 4 years. I really liked, and the size of the computer was ideal for me - small enough that I can use it on a plane, but a fairly big screen that I don't feel too cramped.

  The t61 began to die, so I thought it seemed like a good time to replace it with a new thinkpad. I ordered a T420, happened today.

  I was really surprised and disappointed to see that while the machine itself seems to be of similar size, the screen seems to be a little less good: about the same width, but between 1/2 and 3/4 inches less height. I foolishly thought that this laptop would have the same size as my old screen.

  Is it a modification of the design of the older systems?

  I'm curious: is there a model that is more comparable to the dimensions of my old T61? Is the 520 more close to these dimensions? Or is it a computer physically more grand/more heavy than a 14 "T61? I would rather not a computer who is heaver than my old T61, and I prefer not to have a computer that is more difficult to exploit in a tray of aircraft seats.

  T520 is a laptop 15.6-inch similar to T61 15.4-inch wide screen, but it loses also a few height due to the change in dimension.

  T420 is heavier then the T61. If you want something lighter than the GET T61 the T420s, which is a model thin and only weighs 2 kg or there is everything.

  Easy transfer should do one thing: transfer of things. There is a sense, it should do: easily. Microsoft may have the part of the transfer to the bottom, but it remains to be seen, since my transfer has not yet completed because of Windows Easy Transfer do not keep the computer in a sleep state.

  The default behavior of a computer running on battery, it's that the computer stops eventually. That has always been the case.

  So why MS ensure that users connect their computer, while neglecting to have the Easy Transfer program simply prevent the computer from sleep mode?

  There are countless applications out there preventing a computer to sleep while the application is active. Windows Easy Transfer is expected to be one of them. This is my point of view.

  Or at least a simple opinion: DISABLE the auto sleep mode before running Windows Easy Transfer.

  You closed the lid.  Closing the cover is different from the computer just go to sleep after no activity.  The action in question is not 'idle sleep', but a setting separate relations little: what to do when the lid closes.  After all-, I set the system to STOP when I close the lid.

  I am running Windows 8.1 and using Office 365 - so my version of PowerPoint is 2013.

  First of ALL, if I create a sensitive project, when I click on file > import, 'PowerPoint Slides' is grayed out. Not an option. Is it possible to fix this, so that I can insert PPT into a sensitive project.

  SECOND, if I try to create a new project of MS PowerPoint, Captivate gives me an error message when you try to import .pptx files. If I save it as a .ppt older version files, they seem to work - but I lose audio, etc.

  Sorry, but I have really no idea why PPTX would fail. I am not a member of the Captivate development team, so I guess right here. Something is obviously a little different with the 2013 PPT, PPTX file format. Here again, you've probably already guessed that.

  Using the solution I suggested (check the TPP so it plays) must provide an exact copy of the colors and other whatnot that were in the PPT.

  It is in fact another way, you can try things out. Take the PPTX and copy it. Then rename the file of PPTX in ZIP extension. At this point, you should have access to the Windows File Explorer to view the contents. You could simply extract the images you need. Then, you can use Captivate projects. Projects of the same nature reactive!

  Also, I have an iPhone running iOS 10.0.2 5s and recently began to experience the same change in behavior.

  Just as you describe, my iPhone is detected by iTunes - it syncs - but not by Windows (devices and printers shows that the pilot Apple Mobile Device and not the iPhone) and therefore you can not access the files (photos and videos) on the iPhone from Windows.

  The usual answer from Apple is to completely uninstall and reinstall all of the iTunes software.  If you want to try it, see https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204275

  My experience, however, is that through all that may - or may not - help.  And even if it does not help, the problem quickly.

  Without any conclusive evidence, my guess is that Apple made some either IOS 10 change or in the Apple drivers installed with iTunes 12.5 causing lack of detection.

  I discovered, however, that if you unlock the iPhone before connect you to the computer, the iPhone is always recognized correctly.  That didn't used to be necessary, but as a workaround, it's pretty easy to do.  Maybe update to iOS 10.1 will fix things, but there's some reason - that I don't remember at the moment - why I decided not to do this immediately.

  Windows 10 is basically the same as 8.1 of Windows, but with a few small changes:

  1. The start menu should not be full screen size (you can choose the size)
  2. The 'active modernity apps "not touch need to be full screen size (you can choose the size)
  3. Other small changes like Cortana research, a new browser and reorganized Control Panel (settings).

  Everything else is basically identical to Windows

• Alternative to Command + SHIFT + 4 more like Windows capture tool?

  Before starting my work, I had only used Mac computers, so I'm very familiar with the CMD-SHIFT-4/3 option to take screenshots. However, for my work, I need to take a lot of selective screenshots in quick succession, including the CMD + SHIFT + 4 does not lend itself to the same way that the tool captures Windows (difficult to sort through all the images on one's Desktop without taking the extra time to label each). Does anyone know of an app, Chrome extension or another tool on the Mac that better mimics the tool captures, which allows to easily take a selective screenshot, paste, and start over without the extra step of traction frame on the desktop?

  FWIW, command + control + Shift + 4 to create a selection, and then copy it to the Clipboard.

  Command + control + Shift + 3 copies the entire screen to the Clipboard.
