career of VCP ahead!

Hi all

Please will you some stress during the career now whats coming after VCP.

Last month I erased VCP and have 2 years of Total exp.on this basis that is the opportunity to work... is it wll be any edge after being VCP.

No matter which also do Vmware itself let me know how can I do part of Vmware mmee family. Itried on Vmware careers... but the difficult feeling of looking at this place.

Thanks in advance!

The big question is where are you located, even if the global economy is not strong but for VMware jobs there are about more than 1,200 jobs on dice.com whenever you search for the keyword 'VMware' which means you have a lot of chances and shot to work at VMware VAC partners and most likely you get an implementation of the P2V project that makes pretty decent 40-$50 / hour + depends first on how to negotiate and oenophile evidence.  I would start by VMware VAC for more hands on experience and after you feel comfortable with everything and with 4 + years of experience I would contact the VMware PSO for the possibilities of employment, but now its better to continue to learn and get your hands on as much as possible through partners VAC.

If you found this information useful, please consider awarding points to 'Correct' or 'useful '. Thank you!!!

Kind regards

  • Interval between Pearson and CertView registration

Referring to [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=316] and [https://education.oracle.com/pls/eval-eddap-dcd/ocp_interface.home] seem to indicate an offset of 7 to 10 days for more information to migrate from Pearson VIEW, easy access to Certview.

As an implication for this I've advised that it may be appropriate to wait until 7/10 days after your registration of Pearson VIEW Oracle before attempting to register to Certview?

This delay is necessary or is it too conservative?

It will take about 7 to 10 days for the data to be transferred from Pearson VIEW at CertView. We hope to bring down in the future, but currently, you must allow 7-10 days.

However, if a candidate has already taken exams in Prometric, they can go ahead and allow in CertView - even if they just put in place their Pearson VIEW web account. However, since it will take 7-10 days for the Pearson VIEW to be reflected in CertView info, they should allow in the CertView with their profile of Prometric information. If a candidate updates the information at Pearson VIEW and allows not with CertView 7 days, it is better to be careful and go ahead and wait 10 days. At this point, the information contained in CertView may be old or may be new, so it's better to wait and know that the info has been updated.

Otherwise, if a candidate has difficulties with the permission of CertView and enters false information 3 times, the account will be subject to our service team who will process the permission manually and should have it level off in about 3 business days.

  • Fresh VCP with no experience of VMware who seek a new career path

What would be the best solution for a new / fresh VCP with no experience of VMware who seek a new career path in the world of VMware?

I have 8 years of experience as a COMPUTER support.

Find a consulting company that works with the technologies that you like - especially a VMware partner as your certification means more to them (they are required to have a # specific staff).

In general (at least in the United States) of consulting companies have good "rolling" in entry level positions - they hire not expensive, them work as hard as they can and when the person gets enough experience they go elsewhere for better wages, freeing up space.

  • MCSA or VCP for HER cooler

    Hi thanks for adding me,

I am more fresh to the field of COMPUTING with 1 year exp in the Windows servers. I have the keen interest in the virtualization platform. I'm looking for an opportunity working on it. After having browsed a few sites, I got to know the global certification will bring added value to my profile. So now should what certification I start for my career of virtualization. Should I start with a certification of Microsoft windows server or Vmware VCP certification. Looking for an effective response to start my career.

    Thanks in advance.

I agree with weinstein, the MCSA would certainly benefit you are considering your current experience is mainly with Windows Server.

Although the CPV would be also great for your RESUME, I would only really recommend this offer that you have exposure to VMware in a production environment, even if exposure is minimal.

  • VCP CERTIFICATION CLOUD

    Hello

I plan for certification VCP CLOUD, and if I look on the career site she says

Follow a course of qualification IE (Vmware Vcloud Director: install, configure, manage [5.1] and the exam VCP-CLOUD to get it.)

So the question is what I VCP5-VTC certified before VCP CLOUD?

VCP CLOUD prerequisite is mandatory or those recommended

    • VMware vSphere: install, configure, manage [version 5.0]
    • VMware vCloud Director: Essentials/fundamentals [V5.1]
    • Solid knowledge of TCP/IP networking

    takecoffe

Welcome to the community - no. it is useless to be a VCP5-VTC - according to http://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrReg/plan.cfm?plan=32558&ui=www_cert if you are already a VCP5 VTC that you don't need to take a class and can sit for the exam and if you pass, you will be sent your cert VCP-Cloud - if you're not a VCP-DCV5 that you need to sit for one of the required classes and exam VCP-Cloud to become a VCP.

I move also this on a forum of approroiate more.

  • VCP 5.0 - adopted on 31/01/2012 in St. Louis.

I spent my VCP5.0 upgrade test, yesterday...

A word for people who are trying to level before the strike of r'qmt class:

Remember, if you do not miss any VMware has a period of 7 days before you can try again for a reason.

So, I would say DO NOT schedule a test date after 2/21 If you have 1 chance, before having to pay for another $3000 + more class, just in case you need it. Also test centers fills to the end of the month, then you might move very far to find a test with slots open test center.  Plan ahead (!)

When the date of upgrade "class" > 3.5 approached 4.0 VMware (if I remember) pushes the date but I would NOT count on it once again.

    Good luck everybody.

    Jonathan

    VCP 3.5, 4.0, 5.0

Congratulations - also to correct if you don't miss the deadline for 2/29 and you're a VCP4 you won't only to take thr 5 days CIM class, but day 2 which is the new class that must be about $1200 - the exact price can be obtained from VMware or a VATC

  • Take the first vcp 410 review then training for vsphere 4.1

    Hi all

I have 5 years hands on experience in field of VMware. I want to take the first VCP 410 review and formal training.

My doubts, it's if I passed the exam, should I expect at least some reports saying that you went into vcp 410 as it or what evidence should get after I took the vcp-410 exam (could possibly want someone attah sample report like that).

Why I ask? because I'm going to a formal training through my company after two months before I finished the atleast certifiation will be added benefits for me in my customer to place as well in my professional career, also think that the next level of VMware certifications.

Thank you for your response in advance.

You can meet the requirements of secure Channel in any order. So, first take the exam if you want, but as others have said you won't get a VCP, thus so you won't have no official recognition or paperwork VMware until you have taken the training as well.

If you don't pass the test, I would recommend that you attend to the vSphere: Troubleshooting courses - it also qualifies for the VCP certification and should learn you a lot more than the vSphere: install configure manage course given your experience.

    Scott.

  • What is the roadmap for VCP?

    Hello

I was wondering what could be the roadmap for VCP?  Registration is underway for the online courses at VMware mandatory for his exams VCP appearances?

    OR

Can I go through the material myself and appear for exams directly?

    TIA

Become a VMware Certified Professional is a simple, three-step process:

    1. participate in a VMware authorized course that is instructor to learn best practices and gain experience practice. Recognized courses are: "install and configure"; "Deploy, secure and analyze; and "Fast Track". If you are a current VCP, there is no prerequisite courses.

2 practical experience with VMware. People who do not have the hands on experience, it is very difficult to take the exam.

    3. register and pass the certification exam. To register to take the VMware Certified Professional examination contact Pearson VIEW, a third test to www.pearsonvue.com/vmware Center

    Benefits of certification

    • Demonstrate your technical expertise of the VMware software to employers and clients

    • Increase your potential for career advancement

    • Use the VMware Certified Professional logo on your business card or website

    • Receive a free license for VMware Workstation for Windows or Linux

  • Passed the VCP-310 today: Challenging to say the least review

It took me about three months before feeling ready to book an exam with Pearson VIEW. I've never touched a VI3 product before but felt I couldn't miss this certification for my career.

The VCP - 310 exam is certainly more difficult that we tell CompTIA or Microsoft

One of the exhibition was not related to the subject of question (done on purpose!) It wasn't a matter of submission that I managed to reproduce the drawing of the part of the question with the stylus provided and wrapped in plastic of paper (the question was linked with the settings of firewall ports and the piece was bound to a schema pie of Resource Pool and actions).

I was stunned by some of the questions, I even though I spend time first review.

Review the answers in the end helped me to regain confidence, however.

The end result is a score of 93%.

Not only a practical knowledge of the underlying COMPUTER technology is required (Windows, Unix / Linux, Ethernet, TCP/IP, iSCSI SAN, FC, NFS, x 86 server hardware, troubleshooting, database connectivity, backup, high availability, disaster, continuity, permissions / roles...)

But a basic knowledge of other VMWare products are also required (server, workstation, player, Fusion, ACE, configuration of VMS and gOS...)

Hands on with the installation and set up Labs definitely helped me to build my confidence.

My advice is to start studying the tutorials install and configure VMware, and from there find information more specific related to VMware released a PDF file.

    All the best,

    Hi all

This is the first I heard talk about this issue, thank you for bringing it to our attention.  We will examine and address this deficiency.

  • VCP spend 2.5 to 3.5

    Hello

Anyone have an idea will this upgrade path gradually all earlier... or when the vcp 4.0 comes this way always offered...

    THX.

I think Yes is the VCP for ESX 2/VC 1 gone - happened about 6 months after the general releases the VCP for ESX2/VC 1 was eliminated, so I expect the same on the review of VCP 310 times vsphere seem - so if you are currently a PCV on ESX 2 and decide to wait for vsphere before upgrading your VCP you could be forced to participate in another class - then I would go ahead and update it now since she as the cost of the test and remember than even if the test didn't is no longer available you'd still be a PCV on VI - 3

  • Looking to go to VCP

Good so I use VMware ESX for about 6 months now and have decided that it would be a disicion good career for me if I had to get my VCP.  I looked through these forums for what I should study and found that the book: "VMware ESX server in the enterprise planning and securing virtualization servers" is good to read in preparation for VCP.  I started to read this book and have noticed that a lot of it deals 2.5.x and it can withstand and what the 3.0 'coming' will be able to support (aka wasn't even yet).  I wonder if this is something I must be reading in preparation or is there newer books that contain more information about 3.5 and its revisions latest.

    Thanks in advance!

  • The Java platform and Java deployment should be updated but there is no other version, always careful to update, but it is not possible

Platform Java 7u9 and Java plug-ins Deployment Kit are yellow and asked to be updated.
The problem is that there is no other version I've already installed.
Even if I try to install this latest version once again I get the message that I already have the latest version.
The same problem was with Flashplayer where I installed the latest version, but Firefox has asked three days update the plugin.
The last is now ok, but the Platform Java and Java Deployment Kit is hopeless.
Why he request an update if there is none?
What should or can I do? I always be careful and patch my pc if necesserry.
All my friends who work with Firefox have the same problem.
Can someone tell me what is happening here?

  • Hard drive 1 Quick Test Failed 303 G50: next steps/go ahead

    HP G50-133US

    OS: Windows Vista.

Today, after having some problems with the loading of the features of Firefox (i.e. the application Firefox itself, not internet issues), I met a blue screen.  I forgot the exact terms, but I think it was a kernel fault any.  (Must have written those...)  Now it hangs at startup of Windows Vista "loading bar" and does not start in the operating system.  I remember no unusual physical disruption (it drops hard, etc. - this laptop is still essentially in one place all the time, and I am careful enough with my computers).

I ran the first disc hard test, and it reports:

#10008-disque hard to replace 1 and SMART drive past.

It gives the result: failed hard drive FAST (303) 1.

After my preliminary research, this means that the hard drive is a failure, and I need to replace the drive. I can boot into Ubuntu from a live disc and still access my hard drive with all the files it contains.  I don't want to copy these files (300 + GB, etc.) on a drive that started in Ubuntu while external.

My big question at this point:

If I replace the hard drive and copy that all files back on, is it likely that Windows will start again?  At present, it does not start. For me, this means that there is probably a file system missing or inaccessible, or etc.  But, if I just copy all the data to a new disk, this file will always be missing. that makes it sound like copy all files on the drive would not allow me to recover my Windows installation.  Is this the case?  (Or, it is dependent on situation and cannot be determined?)

    Hi apnorton,

Just copy the files from the old HD on the new HD make bootable and you cannot boot into Windows using this player.

The solution is to use a recovery disc for your model of laptop reinstall Windows Vista (I hope you do when you got the PC and have always them around), which will put the operating system in the State of the PC came from the factory.

Otherwise, you could install the OS of Microsoft installation media, but you will probably need a new key system to take this path.

    Good luck!

  • Ahead Nero software recovery

The initial installation included ahead nero burning rom software that is now missing after a system recovery. Unfortunately I can not find (Ahead Nero) software on the cd for additional software or any other cd that came with the computer (Satellite M40X 129) you can (Toshiba please you or someone else) Please tell me where I can find the software?

    Thank you

    Hi Martin,

I think that you copy of Nero Burning Rom may have been added after the OEM Windows on your laptop.

Are you laptop with a Toshiba dealer? It is possible that they may have added Nero before you take delivery.

As far as I can see Toshiba include Sonic Record now on the M40 range for DVD burning.

I suggest you talk to the one who sold you your laptop for a copy of the missing software.
