  In India, you should buy the black and color ink cartridges HP 802, then you should contact the HP support and reset the printer in your area:

  Be aware that resetting the printer to the India only 802 ink cartridges will be accepted by the printer unless you be able to return for another area in the future, be also well aware that this process is limited and cannot be more than 2 or 3 times for the device.

• Vista Patch Duplex for Deskjet 5650

  Some models of printer with automatic duplexer print incorrectly on the back in Vista.  In these models on the back is printed updside down regardless of the driver configuration.

  The attached zip file has a patch and instructions to fix this problem for printers Deskjet 5600.

  Patches for other models can be found here.

  This patch has been tested good, with more than 150 copies of this fix distributed by e-mail since April 2007.

  The zip file contains two files:

  DJ5600.PDF contains detailed instructions for applying the correction.  Opening this file requires Adobe Reader or a similar pdf viewer, available for free download.

  To apply the patch download the here attached zip file.  Extract the files in the %Temp% directory, and then open the DJ9800.pdf file and follow the instructions.

  The HP Deskjet Ink Advantage series is limited to specific markets, and only available in some countries in Latin America, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, ink cartridge for the printer can be bought in in the regions where the printer is sold, there is no compatible cartridge for your printer in to the Canada or North America.

  Gary. Having the same problem. Printer would work on 10.6, but only print black and white. In the system preferences / change fax print driver for the printer HP deskjet 5400 series. It seems to work OK. Been printing from photoshop, office files and preview everything is OK for now. Hope this helps

  Unlike the above suggestion, the Deskjet 5650 is no longer supported on Mac OS X 10.6 by HP or Apple.

  Therefore, installation above will not solve the problem because it does not contain drivers for your printer, you can find clearly indicated below:

  Thank you, Sean... .a but no cigar. My 7 Pro 64-bit OS recognizes my DeskJet 5650 and it seems that the default printer in devices and printers. However, when I print a test page I download the 4 c/Hp logo nice and sharp, but the rest of the test is reflected in the parts as follows:

  1st page: logo only; »

  2nd page: white

  page 3: "Congratulations!" only

  page 4: "If you can read this information, you have correctly installed your deskjet 5600 series (HPA) on your PC - Sam." Followed by name, rank, including the serial number "Port (s) name: USB001, RAW, nom_lecteur Data Format: UNIDRV.» DLL... Driver version: 6.00, environment: Windows x 64,... Additional files used by this driver:

  C:\windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\x64\3\HPZEVLHN. DLL (61.053.25.9)"and then the last line is repeated.

Since then, I noticed that my impressions are not as good quality and noticed that unlike before I use to get a new window that would come to the top when I would print telling me my ink level. I don't get more and do not know if I need to change the ink cartridges out.

  The only way to tell now if the ink is low is if your printed pages are missing, lines or points or streaks appear, the print cartridge may be low on ink.
