CC app = complete mess

I had seen similar problems to other documented here with the CC App not correctly drawing dialog boxes and menu items missing.

I lit this morning and opened the app CC, to find an empty window app with a tiny dialog box but no buttons etc. - had to go to the Task Manager to close the application. At the restart, got the same application unusable. Finally had to go to the download of creative cloud site and re-install the app. Now it works again to a point, but always the same menu items missing and dialogue boxes which draw, button etc don't.

Of course the app was trying to tell me that an update was available, but then got stuck trying to be a dialog box set to date - but without any button etc.

Developers Adobe - Absolute terrible UX and bugs! Shame

  • Completely messed up the Y580

    Hello

    After months of use, my brand-new Y580 is completely messed up (thanks to God that I already backed up all my important data).

    When Im laptop computer startup, there is just a Lenovo logo and loading symbol. It keeps forever - its just like loading 30 minutes... then I got especially BSOD with error: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE.

    And then it restarts and there again, still...

    And SOMETIMES (very rare) - it support all Windows 8 (after tens of minutes) - and then after a few minutes, my system completely freeze - all of the peripheries (mouse, etc.) will stop working.

    When I try checkdisc, or the recovery of the system, its just load forever and nothing happens.

    The only thing I can do is to access my BIOS, I can't get Starter same menu Windows (F8).

    Is there a simple way how can I completely format? And when I do this - where can I get copy of Windows 8, I had installed on my laptop? I not found any disk media in the box with laptop.

  • BlackBerry App how to remove app completely from my Q10?

    My connection bridge suddenly did not allow me transfer files more so I decided to reinstall the BlackBerry Bridge App on my Q10. Here's what I did:

    I deleted the app to my home screen. I waited a little, went to the BlackBerry World on my Q10 to re-install. I have searched for it in BBWorld but I could only click 'open '. When I did that nothing happened. So I decided to go 'My World' in the world of BB and now the icon press it to completely erase or just uninstall it. All I get is an error box saying "error uninstall BlackBerry Bridge. Then I restarted the phone. The same problem. So I tried the deep reset or anything what it is called where you must press the button on top of the Q10 for more than 30 seconds. I pressed her for more than a minute, but all I got was a red LED and no reset. Then the next thing I thought, install chrome on my pc to use this playbook/BB10 plugin and uninstall or force - install bridge from here. No luck, it does not appear in the list of installed applications. There is some process that I can't uninstall have to 'bridge' in them. I put end to all, but in vain.

    Can someone help me please? How can I completely remove an application if you can still see in the BlackBerry World as being installed?

    1. go on BlackBery world.

    2. slide down from the top and tap Settings.

    3. tap on the first element of the list, something like 'General Settings' (in my German version: "General").

    4. press on the button down 'update BlackBerry World.

    This solves the problem for me.

  • My firefox all got completely messed up

    My whole browser inexplicably got messed up.

    • Try to customize (topic: customization) does not work, click on the button of the horizontal line icon

      • gives a white on: Customizing page or
      • nothing happens.
    • Some of my modules appear active on the addons page but do not work in reality.
    • The home page that appears when I run firefox is now on: empty, although it shows my real homepage (topic: superstart) in the settings.
    • The button "Connect to synchronize" in my horizontal menu 3 lines suddenly disappeared.
    • It also appears as toggling of the modules is not really to work, because it doesn't tell me to restart firefox after trying to do so.

    And many other things. How can I get it back to normal? I really hope that I don't need to reinstall firefox (I don't want to reinstall all the addons and redo all the customization and all)! I haven't done anything that would cause the bug. I just change my Windows theme and test how firefox mixed with these themes. Got deformed appearance, hanged several times, for some reason, firefox so I restarted. And then suddenly all this happens.

    In the case where one of your extensions is concerned, could test the page Firefox Safe Mode? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

    You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    (Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still works)

    If these methods don't work, the release of Firefox, and hold down the SHIFT key when you start again.

    A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).

    Any difference?

  • 17.0.1 Firefox (and its windows install app) completely freezes the system (win7 x 64)

    When I tried this morning to start Firefox 17.0.1 on my computer, everything stopped working. In fact, he worked for 0.1 dry and then hung for 10 seconds somehow I managed to open the Task Manager and tried to complete the process (tree), but the firefox process would not die.     I installed the latest vista updates today.  Three "important"; an option.  The optional parameter was an update of bluetooth toshiba.  We were talking about "platforms" that made me uncomfortable so I went to Microsoft and after reading it, I decided - based on little understanding - it was probably necessary.
    Shortly after, Acrobat 9 Pro wasn't working anymore. The computer asked me to restart after installing updates, but I have done a couple of things, including some e-mail.  During the attempt to send e-mail until I turned off the computer, Outlook flash he has been restarted and then the icon to install flash and then I could come back and type until the sequence started.

    I turned off the computer and when I rebooted, it did not start.  I managed to get it started; I run scandisk; now, when it starts to get a series of errors from Adobe for various Adobe programs that I installed on the machine all seem related to the "Automatic Setup" (or boot, I don't remember exactly.  I tried to re - install Acrobat and I get an error message that the 'source' is not available, and to ensure that it is - despite me using the installation disc, so I guess that it refers to the 'source' in Vista.  Outlook does not start.  He told me to use scanpst.exe to analyze the .pst files, but they seem to have disappeared.  I have tried other products of office except Explorer who started without problem.

    I can't use restore because it says that the disc is damaged and needs to be checked.

    Any ideas are appreciated.

    Uninstall the update for bluetooth.  Never use Microsoft device driver updates.  To avoid this does not happen, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/.

    Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

    Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.

    While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  It will scan and try to solve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a cause.  Who can release the OS to do a system restore or other recovery options.

    Do you know when this problem started (probably with updates)?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

    If the system restore does not work, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

    If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

    If this does not work, try to start in safe mode (repeatedly hit F8 key so that the start and go in safe mode with networking).  Then we will check some of your system files:

    If it does not, then thanks for posting any repetitive error message in Event Viewer on startup (Start / Control Panel / administrative tools / Event Viewer).  Here's how to use Event Viewer: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic40108.html.

    If this does not work, you will need to do a repair/system upgrade using the Windows Vista Installation disc authentic (you own or that you can borrow from someone).  Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html as well as the upgrade from an earlier version of the Windows section of the following: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918884.  Although this will not affect your data, settings or programs, you should always back up your data before you start just be on the safe side.     I hope one of these procedures can solve your problem.  If this isn't the case, after return and we will try something else.  Return message anyway so we know how it turns out.

    Can someone tell me why my spacing of text is completely out of wack on my iPhone but if I find the layout of phone in Google Chrome on my laptop its fine. Even view the rendering of phone in dev tools in Chrome is fine.

  • delete the file opm.db now was completely messed!

    I, like many others, get screens of constant reminder telling me of my license programs. I have a full license of CC and everytime I wonder, I get the news.

    But... I get this application everytime I open a program, I don't know how many times I have satisfied demand.

    Help forums are full of this problem and a solution was to delete the file opm.db. It is not easy, you need to stop all the services of adobe before you can delete the file and then re start.  Fine so far... but now all my programs are locked for 'only way' and when you go online to ny adobe ID I is no longer registered as having all programs under license.

    So Adobe take my money and not only do you have a big prolem their use, by following their suggestions I have now no programs.

    But Adobe always take my money...

    I tried to go to the customer support, but after two hours of waiting, I still have no answer.

    Any thoughts anyone?

    After clicking on the "Software license" option and identify yourself, you get a thank you message and App opens without any problem.

    And next time when you start, again had to go through the same process?

  • Some Web sites require IE, and accidentally set Firefox as my default browser has completely messed up my desktop shortcuts.

    When I changed my default back to IE, changed icons back, but everything always opens in Firefox... How can I get the shortcuts to open in Internet Explorer? I tried to delete the shortcuts of origin and by creating new ones, but they always open in Firefox...

    I'm not 100% sure that understand your problem. What you have said, I think you are saying that you have changed your default Firefox browser, and the desktop icons all passed under the icon of internet Explorer (blue e) to the firefox icon. You have changed the default back to IE browser, but the icons have not changed back, and when you click on them, they open in Firefox.

    If this is the case, the problem is with your default browser configuration. What you have said, you have already settled it in the browser similar to the support article. for some reason any Windows has not changed the default browser.

    You can try (in Win 7) open the Control Panel, then programs-> set default programs and click Internet Explorer in there, then "set this program as default.

    My Y410P screen is no longer made much, apart from the black list in the middle and a white bar on the right. Looks like a problem that would occur as a result of a faulty screen connection, where can I get this fixed/maintenance? I'm covered by the warranty.

    Your first step should be to contact the Support (info below). There may be a postponement approved maintainer close to you, or the machine may need to go to the repair shop, but they should be able to advise you.

    When I run the following query

    SELECT * FROM table1 ORDER BY Field1 ASC
    

    The result is the following:

    It seems that the default sort order is a number, lowercase letters in alphabetical order, Lesstes in alphabetical order...

    What is strange... anyone have any suggestions?

  • CC Desktop 1.8.0.447 installation corrupts db and app associations

    I attended 2014 Max this week and was very happy to come back to update the creative Cloud Desktop application and install all app updates. The first way, I tried to do was created hours of frustration and futility technical support calls. I started by clicking on the icon of the menu 'cloud' and install the 1.8.0.447 build.

    After you install the update, the applications in the application of CC Desktop tab presents you with a rotating wheel loading and only shows you one of the applications that are currently installed. There are several procedures that Adobe and other members of the forum have listed the previous builds that guide you through suggestions on how to remedy this. Some root causes like legacy CS5 install, etc., are not applicable. The important first step is to access your OOBE folder and remove the file opm.db (as part of these steps App will not open |) Wheels of progress turn continuously). Following this procedure has sent me on a path that has completely messed up my install Desktop CC.

    After the last step, then by restarting desktop CC, the applications Panel charge - with one major exception - all relationships between installed applications and think that CC Desktop is installed has disappeared. Not only is it recognizes correctly what is installed but there is apparently no way to re - associate within the app!

    I came to generally enjoy the desktop CC as a centralized application for updating all programs, it is an improvement of the more archaic the AAM update, which is always accessible from applications via help > updates. But I remember at the time where you used to have to download an installers run manually one at a time, so I'll take it.

    That said, this current iteration has crashed and burned, and the only solution after two interviews with Adobe technical support is «sorry,» that you will have to uninstall and reinstall everything This is NOT acceptable. Some of these applications have gobs of presets, plugins, settings, etc, and I can easily jump a day everything is up and running. As it is, I lost 6 + hours trying to get to the next step.

    My last attempt involved using a Time Machine backup and restore the following files (after the closure of all CC desktop applications). It's always a crap shoot because I can not restore all necessary files (although I think that I have now down), and there are 'invisible' files that could be missed. With that, I restored it:

    • < User folder > /users/ / Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater /.
    • < User folder > /users/ / Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory /.
    • < User folder > /users/ / Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE /.
    • < User folder > /users/ / Library/Application Support/Adobe/caps /.


    (hidden ~ / library)


    • ~/Library/application support/Adobe/AAMUpdater /.
    • ~/Library/application support/Adobe/OOBE /.

    After you restore these files, I restarted, and I see that my MAO appears at the top of the page system menu bar indicating that there are 16 updates (it's good!), and the CC desktop icon, when you click Watch there is an update (version indicated above).

    As this is the 3rd time that I did, what I call my point of branching - the last two attempts, both were followed by the installation of the new CC desktop application, which puts me exactly in the order listed above. White apps screen spinning. Then I delete the opm.db file, and we're stuck.

    Just for fun, I opened the application AAM, and is list all the updates for applications. And I have not yet updated the desktop application. I'm nervous for updating applications outside the application of clouds... but I plan to do that. Uninstalling the creative application of Cloud Desktop, reinstall with the new one and I was wondering if it will be picking up on the applications that are currently installed and the versions I am running.

    At this point, I expect to see if I have to:

    (a) uninstall CC desktop and download the latest installer and try it - would it be different just update?

    (b) run the updates for the most part, leave CC quiet Office and weather the storm until the next generation coming. Install the next version, even after, pick them up later (after all my updates) databases and run correctly?

    * UPDATE *.

    Called support of Adobe for a 3rd time, and this time had someone who was willing to work with me on this. Since the past two times we used the option 'Install now' Creative Cloud Desktop for update application, which usually leads to failure, we have tried to dump the current installation and fresh start with the Desktop App. CC office uninstall removes all installed programs.

    Try this alternative method we:

    1. Uninstalled Créative Cloud Desktop application
    2. Restarted
    3. Downloaded and installed the latest version of Creative Cloud Desktop free Creative Cloud | Download the free trial version Adobe Creative Cloud
    4. Once she started, it took about 20 seconds for the synchronization upward with the applications that I have currently installed, but acknowledged that they were there and said there were updates!
    5. A ran all updates

    That's why I rarely take the first 'no' as an answer...

    I hope this helps someone else.

    I've just updated to OS X 10.11.3 software updates, and my Safari is almost completely broken. When I create a new tab it does not appear. When I enter something on the URL bar, there is no AutoComplete and the URL is also well centered and aligned to the left in the URL bar. Number of pages, including Google won't load the URL bar. I tried to exit Safari and restarted, but it's the same thing. Any help? It is a huge problem. Thank you

    Came here to see if anyone else has this problem (couldn't find anything on Google, Twitter etc), it is in fact completely messed up. I tried to erase all my caches, deactivating all my plugins, restarted my Mac several times but no solution.
