CC Bridge does not download

I have a MacBook Pro late 2011 running MacOS Sierra (10.12) update. Last night I tried to download bridge CC and was able to successfully (I think?) download and install the desktop CC application. But the download page for the bridge says 'bridge's download now... "so I left it there to complete the download overnight. When I came back in the morning, nothing had changed, nothing had been downloaded and there is no errors.

The previous attempt had been with Safari, so I decided to try Google Chrome. This time, when I tried the download, a pop-up window asked my permission to launch an external application, that I gave. But then it's the same thing: the download page informed me that 'bridge's download now... "but there is no apparent downloads or changes and not errors.

I saw another thread to a similar question in which the staff member has informed the person download the CC itself, desktop application Bridge but I don't see an option for this and my desktop app seems to miss the 'Apps' tab I've seen in the screenshots in other places on this site (just mine has 'House (', assets, Stock community ".)

Since there is no error reported and no download that seem to even begin I can't imagine what goes wrong, but I'd love to help!
