  In Indesign, for a checkbox, you can set the On, Off and flipping visual state of a checkbox control. In Acrobat, there is a property to the checkbox control called 'Check box Style'. This property control the way a box looks once the box is enabled and the user goes to do other things in the PDF file. The State 'On' that you set in Indesign, only controls the appearance of the box over the action to click on it. Your Clicked (without accent) shows the status of the 'check box Style'. You can change this appearance to: check, square, circle, Cross, Diamond and Star, but unfortunately cannot change the visual appearance of the check box.
