• Pay for dreamweaver and Cs6. even if the upgrade?

  I upgraded from dreamweaver to cs6. the way it is written, the upgrade instead of buying two different products, so I would only pay for a product.

  IM on disability, so I can't afford to pay for both. But it still says on my account that bad pay for both products.

  I was thrown by the upgrade. I don't buy them separately. I asked several times on here and on the cat, but no one could answer me before.

• Need help importing site Dreamweaver CS4 CS6

  I created a website for a friend in CS4 a few years ago and pretty much stopped using Dreamweaver. Then I changed computers and updated Adobe CS6.  Now she wants a change, but his site no longer appears in Dreamweaver. I neglected to export the settings before the upgrade (doh!) Any suggestions? I can not even find the passwords everywhere

  Those are files on its site online?

  If they are, you are on the spot. The folder that lists these files is your site.

  You can simply create a new site definition in DW and point the local site root to the folder that contains these files, and you're good to go.

  And your friend can give you the passwords / qualifications to web services / servers & you can set it as a remote site of the site definitions.

• Dreamweaver ignorant CS6 not hidden folders and files on the sync, why?

  I have a site with the file "crmcwed" with subfolders img1 and img2 img3.  On the site of the remote server, the corresponding folders (img1 and img2, img3) are filled with hundreds of files JPG photo.  I chose to not have the same files in the corresponding img1 and img2, img3 files in local files.  I've marked these 3 files hidden in the remote and local files.  The parent folder "crmcwed" is not hidden locally or remotely.  However, when I ask to sync 'together... Site"," put newer remote files to ' and check "Delete files remotely not on the local drive", the result is that synchronize wants to remove virtually all the photo files in remote img1 and img2, img3 files because they aren't in the local files.  The cloaking seems to be quite ineffective.  I tried to remove and reapply the cloaking and have rebuilt the cache several times.  (If I do not check "Delete files remotely not on the local disk", synchronize reports that the site is fully synchronized).

  Any suggestions?

  Thank you Nancy.  It's a pretty daunting position, while I respect your experience.  I used formerly synchronization with cloaking successfully.  However, I'm trying to get my site hosted on a different server to speed.  It is now hosted on a GoDaddy shared hosting Linux Server (previously I had a Windows Server), and for the first time in my experience, it has an SSL certificate installed for the domain.

  With my new site, I had set Dreamweaver to download using SFTP and Port 22.  With this setting, downloads work fine, but I get the faulty synchronization that I have reported.  I just discovered, however, that if I change to ordinary (non-secure) FTP, using Port 21 and specify servers > basic > more Options > use the FTP mode passive = verified, that synchronization is working properly and concealment is now effective!  (The passive FTP mode if it isn't an option for SFTP). Don't know what to conclude except that there seems to be many gears that have to mesh together to get this all working, and DW interacting with my Linux on GoDaddy website doesn't seem to be a happy marriage.  But who is to blame?  I have no idea.  I don't see why you don't want to use synchronization.

  Thanks anyway, well my comment offers you the "solution", I searched for, it is a workaround undesirable to lose download secure SFTP.

• Two different people that have Dreamweaver installed CS6 can be changed to the same Web site?

  AS the title says, I'm trying to understand if it is possible for two different people to make the changes on the site even if CS6 is installed on BOTH computers.

  Sure.

  There is even a feature of DW integrated fund which makes so that they don't accidentally edit the same file at the same time.

  I've never used it so I can't vouch for it, but I know it's there.

  Basically the site files would be stored on a file server and you check the files to make changes. While a person working on a file, it is not available to the other person so that you do not accidentally cross to the top of your changes.

• Dreamweaver CS6/CC hangs during startup (initialization file), reinstalled...

  I have the Dreamweaver CC & CS6. CS6 worked. Then installed the CC App, have uninstalled CS6 DW and DW CC. Dreamweaver CC crashes "initializing files" (I do not even see the main menu). Now I uninstalled CC and installed the CS6 version which breaks down too now!

  reset your preferences by pressing cmd-shift-alt (mac) or shift-ctrl-alt (win) when you start dw.  If done correctly, you will see a confirmation dialog box.

• Excessive use of Dreamweaver CS6 CPU

  Dreamweaver use constantly about 13% of my CPU when idle supposively.

  It starts from the moment the application is launched and continues until it is closed.

  It is a problem, not only thanks to the use of unnecessary resources, but it turn on my laptop to heat very quickly.

  Anyone know what the issue could be here and how to fix it?

  I wanted to know if the latest version of Dreamweaver in CS6 it will have an ability to see what your Web site on an iPad will look like.  Many customers want to see how their site on one will look more iPad than any other camera.

  I found this site have an ot of articles on iPad apps useful too, but no mention of the latest version of Dreamweaver displays a site as seen on an iPad. Please hold me!

  Howdy friends Dreamweaver! I recently connected Dreamweaver (version CS6) to a local WordPress site on my computer, and while I can add properties to an existing rule to the CSS, I can not actually create a rule using the CSS panel. While I certainly can manually code the rule, it would be nice to be able to do this easily. Any ideas?

  I can not actually create a new rule through the CSS panel.

  Should not you.  WordPress needs to be hand-coded.

  And don't forget to create a child theme.  If you do not, any changes made to your original WP theme (CSS or PHP code) will be wiped out when the WP software update and themes later.

  Themes generally updated shortly after a major WordPress update.

  These updates are essential to ensure the stability and security of the site.

  Can someone tell me where the stand-alone program 12 Dreamweaver can be downloaded?

  I don't want shit creative cloud - I just need to install the program - as I have a new hard drive and re - install my software.  I found Photoshop (I think) and also need 5 Lightroom as well.  I don't want to use the 'creative cloud' because it is not in my view - and I don't want a monthly fee to get out to Adobe for their cash flow.  I just need good old stand alone products.  Thank you.

  Thank you, that's good ideas! But my problem has proved to be different and much simpler kind of thing I expected and your solution would solve. My Mac not TOTALLY restore backup. Technology on the Apple store recommended re - install the operating system to a new version and then all my software and files from my time machine. If that's what I did. I don't remember that Mavericks does not include Java runtime, and I never realized that some of my Adobe products require it. Download and install Java and now my Adobe products work as expected.
