My review of CCNA will expire January 2, 2015. I am interested to take the exam for CCNA security this month and I hope it will go for security CCNP after that... I have a few questions
(1) there is only one available exam IINS 640-554 ?
(2) if I passed this exam, my certification will be valid for the next two years, because I read somewhere that CISCO is retiring from tests in the coming years.
(3) my CCNA routing and switching certification will remain valid after clearing this exam?
(4) I am able to go for the CCNP security after clearing this exam?
so if someone can guide me in the right direction, I will be grateful. Thank you
Exactly. Recertification could also be made with any of the professional level exams. So if you can prepare for one of these more rapid then the IINS, then you can also take this test. But also if you have passed all four CCNP security, you get only the CCNP Sec certificate when you also pass the screening - which is the 640 - 554 for the CCNA Security.

640 554 600-199 (CCNA Security or review SCYBER
Hi all
Did someone knows what's the difference between these two reviews? Since just reading about it. It seems that the review of the Scyber is more generalized content security and 640-554 is more in depth? I don't know how to compare these, someone has some comments about them?
Thank you.
Two reviews have different themes as outlines by the plans:
I would also say that CYBERSPACE is more widespread and the CCNA Security is more on the implementation (although my CCNA security exam has already a few years; I did the CYBER review in June).
For the decision that is to be taken:
- The CCNA Security should be the basis for every other security certification. You are also going to CCNP security later.
- The CYBER is a specialization, that almost nobody needs and nobody knows. Although the knowledge you gained in preparing for this review is very valuable, I always would consider it a knowledge 'Add-on' that you should go for when you already finished other certifications such as CCNA Security and/or CCNP security.

I'm currently studying for CCNA Security and would like to have access to the CCP (Cisco Configuration Professional) to play with the GUI and make sure that I'm familiar with it for review.
I tried to download it from Cisco's Web site, but I can't understand how to operate it. Does anyone know of a tutorial (or similar resource) where I can learn how to get a working copy of the CCP to the top and running - may work with GNS3?
Have you downloaded the full version on PC? (cisco-config-pro-k9-pkg-2_7-en.zip)? It's the package, you must install. He doesn't do much without a router to do however.

Hello
I hope it's in the right place... Is there a specific certification forums place? (I could be blind I can't)
I'm studying for my CCNA Security and I was wondering what do you experts recommend as an AAA server for laboratories and generalists and understanding?
While I don't have the mind to read, I like to have a God with the stuff too!
Thank you
Richard,
You can at the headend on Cisco.com for learning

Hello
Can someone please advise if I can get one of the new security review to keep my CCNP R & S existing certification that expires in April 2016
I passed old exams 642-618, 642-637, 642-627 already. Can I appear just for the review of 300-208 to keep my certification valid and thus also complete safety CCNP certification.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Dobbelaere
Yes, you can pass a professional or expert level exam and who will be renewing your certification CCNP R/S. If you do the SISAS tests now, then you can use it for your CCNP security when you passed also three other Sec CCNP exams (and the sine qua non, the CCNA Security).

What career path to take after CCNA?
Hi all
I have completed my ccna 2 years ago. I work as a 2nd line IT support but have no experience to all cisco products. Because all switches are configured already and company won't let you touch them unless you have the experience. Because I need to renew the certification at the end of the year I think I will go for ccna security or not?
I tried to apply to all the work of cisco, but no luck so far? Help, please...
Hello John,.
There are tools for practice of cisco IOS (GNS, packet tracert..), but I think that my best advice to you is to start to do something, see... a few years ago I was like you, I got a COMPUTER job, where I felt really stuck on the sand...
so one day (after 2 years of the same shit) I stop finally complain and start studying for real, while I was still working I was touched by the economic crisis and you know the rest... when I started looking for a new job... I got a job at another company, even THIS level (I need money, but I always kept study).,. then a few months later, I applied on Cisco and here I am still in school... it never ends!
I started to learn about a technology that has nothing to do with the CCNA or CCNP is called WAAS that I really like... then I recently move wireless supported, I finally think that wireless is my good path for me to follow, more I love money! do not you?
so don't you worry a patch which to follow, but start doing things before past another year and your frustration is still growing.
Good luck!

CCNP security certification!
Hi all
I question who I am spent by all the associated cisco hope web found my answer. but I have not found the answer.
I attended security CCNP courses.
640-802 (CCNA) - HAS NO
640-554 (CCNA Security) - ADOPTED
642-637 (SECURE) - ADOPTED
642-618 (FIREWALL) - ADOPTED
642-648 (VPN) - ADOPTED
642-627 (IPS) - ADOPTED
each of them ended in NOV. 3 in 2012. It seems as if I'm taking CCNA exam (640-802), it will complete the CCNP security certification. I was wondering is there a due date which I take CCNA (640-802)?
If I pass the CCNA (640-802) security CCNP cert valid dates will be from 08 June 2013 or from NOV 03 in 2013.
The 640-802 exam is only to be offrerd through September 30, 2013, date to take the review of version 2.0 new (200-120).
My understanding of the dates is as follows:
When you pass the final exam required for your CCNP security (and assuming that none of the previous reviews have expired - i.e. everything within 3 years from the date of final passage required review) your certfication will be issued with a validity period of 3 years starting from the date of the required final past.
However, I would doublecheck with the support of the certification for a definitive answer:

Renewal of CCNA routing &; switching Certification
My CCNA R & S is about to expire
Can I renew it by giving just ICND2 exam?
Hello
You can not re - certify with any of these 2, because those who form the CCNA, therefore, basically, the only way to renew their certification must present cert CCNA, other level a CCIE or CCNA CCNA security, Specialist certifications.
Please note and mark it as correct this message if this helped you! Keep me posted,
I thank you,
David Castro,

SDM is free for holders of CCNA?
Hi guys,.
I'm studying for my CCNA Security and I wanted so convenient with the firewall SDM.
So I went to the download section of CISCO, and I found myself on:
5.
Cisco reserves the right to: charge (a) you for, and you agree to pay for software downloads /signature to which you are not entitled, and (b) immediately suspend or terminate your access to this web site if you download software to which you are not right
I have not yet to any device cisco!, this means that I have to buy SDM? Is it free for people to Cisco Certified?
See you soon
Alexander
Access to the SDM is not dependent of the being certified. And be certified made no difference in the question of whether you can obtain the SDM. SDM goes along with copies of the Cisco IOS. When you buy a legitimate Cisco IOS router, it should come with a copy of SDM. And if you have a maintenance contract with the Cisco router, then you have the right to download new copies of the software, including the new copies of SDM. Without owning a Cisco equipment, I don't know a way you can get the SDM.

What to take after CCNA?
Hi Experts,
Hello! I would like to you ask guys on which certification could take after CCNA?
My choices are to take CCNP, but I think that it is a long and difficult road because of 3 exams hardcore.
Also in my option must have CCNA voice because I'm curious on works the voice of Cisco specifically to work on it on home labs.
Guys need your advice on a Cisco to take career path.
Thank you for your support.
Ron
Oh not George... you mentioned another site other than Cisco study... I mentioned once the first site that you show, which is very good by the way, and I got my hand slapped and said I can't do that...
Ron,
You talk about making the switch first review, I seriouly that rethink. If you look at the subjects of examination you must know some routing for the examination of the switch. That's because unlike the CCNA certification exam covers layer 3 switches and layer 3 routing =. I suggest strongly based only on my personal experience is to take the road, switch and Tshoot. I did try and take the first switch exam and failed. I had already booked my class of road because I thought the switch would be the easiest... Yes a little more confident... but I was wrong. Because I had to take the class road I'm spent gears and focused on the review of the track and spent and during class, I realized what information I was not present at the examination of the switch so I he planned for next week and spent with I learned in the class of road.
I wasn't sure on what path should I take after CCNA as well, after some thought I went the CCNP and then I'm back for CCNA Wireless and CCNA voice and got so many people and now go for CCNA security then CCGD and CHRC. Here's what my plan is now.
R & S - complete CCNA
CCNP R & S - completed
CCNA-wireless - completed
CCNA-voice - complete
CCNA-security - work
CCGD
CHRC - I tried it because I already have the switch and road and I want to make sure I get this before 3 years pass on my review of the road.

Internal and external customers see certificate of Cisco router, NOT Exchange SSL certificate
Cisco 876 Integrated Services router (ISR)
Exchange Server 2010 SP1Customer: 2013 Outlook, OWA, ActiveSync WP7/WP8 (?)
Put us in place a new Cisco ISR. Almost everything works fine, with a few exceptions. Exchange e-mail stopped altogether for several days until I realized that I needed to redirect the ports, SMTP, HTTP, and HTTPS, by external to the Exchange Server. Now, mail flow is fine, but...
Every time I start Outlook, I get a certificate error. When I look at the certificate in the error popup, it points actually to certificate self-signed Cisco router. When we try to use the Windows phones, they get a "certificate error" and direct the user to the network administrator. Even with OWA: a certificate error, even if it can be "accepted" / overridden.
Each customer can still work, with the exception of Windows phones. In Outlook and OWA, mail is always be sent and received, but must be accepted manually that the certificate is wrong before the customer takes care, and then it takes a little longer to load.
Any ideas?
I did "" port forwarding on the pots of 25, 80 and 443. Again, I did it yesterday and now mail seems to flow, whereas before, even if we could enter the client with Certificate error, message not be received. (There was also a problem with mail however not passed, but that was due to our mail relay provider and was set yesterday as well...)
Everything worked fine with the previous router (obviously). It was a high-end, the level of consumption Fritz! Box commonly used in Germany. I also had to allow ports through this box is not unlike using the nat ip inside static commands on the 876, but I don't know what he could have let his own or why SRI is the Exchange Server application SSL certificate hijacking.
Thanks in advance for any help.

CCNA Routing & Switching, CCNA security
MCITP, MCTS
Berlin, GermanyIf we have actually figured this out today. The internal DHCP Server distributing the a DNS Server public as well as the internal DNS. The internal DNS was time and the customer became the external IP address of the public DNS and it received an unexpected cert of the router. Once we removed the public DNS servers from the DHCP server and used only DNS servers in-house, that the issue went away. Logical after we realized what was going on.

wrv210 w/fw 2.0.1.5
We have some of these routers at different locations. View in a few places, when connect us to the router, the left side seems to look ok. When you click eg 'basic settings', the right side is white and you need to scroll to the bottom of a page or two to view the settings.
We have these routers that all set up with IP addresses. When you click on the "port forwarding" or "status-local network" pages, it is all white with nothing on it. It to do a right-click on port forwarding or the properties of the local area network and copy the link at the end of the address bar after the IP settings, and then click go to see what are the settings on this page. Unfortunately, none of our settings are their. It's like that in most of the other the seletions in the router. I found that re-flashing the firmware corrects this problem but eventurely this problem reoccur. Has anyone else ran into this problem simular on these routers? See the attached JPEG...
gvillanti,
What is the browser you use to view these routers?

I have a client who is looking into buying this route and have a few questions and I thought why not ask the experts on the forum of Cisco.
Here is what he is looking ot "what we need is a router which built in the radius authentication or page server or both, with the ability to track the number of router access gets during the day. Basiclly abe to keep track of how employers use the radio every day. »
If I could get assistance expertise with this it would be appreciated.
The only thing I know is that the AP541N has a journal that will allow you to see the authenticated users and attempts. Routers are a bit limited on this information at this time. There are several devices that are in plans that may provide a solution for you, but are not yet available.
