CDP of block/filtering of catalyst on ports

Hi all

is it possible to filter cdp throught access ports on catalyst switches? We have viruses on the site that is looking for other devices throught CDP Protocol or the nearby Mikrotic.

If I block - MAC Protocol 800, packet type Boadcast to mikrotik Bridge, I can stop the Virus of UBIQUITY.

BUD how to stop switches catalyst throught on FTTA - fiber to the antenna sites?

We use the catalyst 3560 x 2960 s... LAN BASE

Thank you

Dave

Hello

Can you not disable cdp by port basis or in the world without activating cdp / no cdp run until you don't remove thevirus

It uses TCP 4224 so

  • Filtering of Client VPN ports

Got a laptop running XP and Cisco VPN Client installed v5.0.0.4.0300. Through the series of troubleshooting steps, I was able to determine that the customer of Cisco software is blocking or filtering of incoming ports. With the software installed, I am unable to ping the laptop from another source and it has software that gives the ability to send documents scanned to it via network scanner, scanner attempts to connect to the laptop via port TCP 139 and is unable to do. If I uninstall the VPN software, then I can ping and send to him scanned documents. Any ideas on how to fix this strange problem would be appreciated.

The VPN client has a built-in firewall. You can disable it in the menu options.

Hi sundar, this can be done with protected Harbour located by editing a port under the administration of the track. This will isolate all individual ports to see each other while using the uplink port. If you need one of these ports AP to connect then it will need to access lists.

  • disable the port

    Hello

We already have an application that uses the server name and the port with the extension of the application.  We now have a proxy in front of it so that customers won't use the ip and port.

Some clients still use the ip and port instead of proxy usrl. Is there a way to block using app servername with port users.

I want customers to use app.test.com instead of appserver.test.com:7001/test

    Help, please.

If you want to restrict clients to directly access the server, you can use connection filters to allow access only from the proxy and some other machines

You can get more details here

  • Execution of shared USB port

    Hello:

I use a key USB Hub (x 8) RS - 232 and I created a Subvi to read the data via a port COM using VISA. Everything works fine.

When I try to run two instances of the same Subvi in parallel (with two instances of the same VI on the block diagram with different COM ports as inputs), the SubVIs are not running at the same time, but in the order. What settings will allow to run the SubVis in parallel and share the USB port?

    Thank you!

    Dan

    Hi Dan10

    Have you tried

"VI > properties > run > run (Checked) reentrant'?"

You should be able to communicate with

-different instances of the same program (VI) on different ports... is not serious USB, series, GPIB.

    It works for you?

(However you want to access the same port, then you will need to isolate your 2 instances (such as MISTLETOE) talking to the same resource driver underneth.)

  • Impossible to open a port on Win 7

I tried specifically to open a port for RDP (3389) and I have it configured correctly, including router - for the transfer, but the port is still invisible.

I used online resources to check that everything is as it should be with parameters and compared the parameters of this dialog with others in my network and they are all identical (as far as I know), yet always the port is invisible from the outside.
No other ports are visible when open, and I tried with firewall off and no anti virus.
What could be the challenge with the ports of this box?

  • Is it possible to lock filters?

I'm trying to build some sort of Agenda for the services of a lawyer in my internship, and yesterday, I was asked something I've never heard or seen in the APEX. My boss would like users to be able to filter a report. No problem, I told him that with an interactive report I could allow them to filter, pause control, sort everything that they want, as they wish. But he wants to be able to set predefined filters (i.e. the filter on the name of lawyer) and ask them to stay there.

The problem is that he wants users to be able to change the name of the lawyer, for example, and nothing else. No ability to add filters, a slight possibility to change filters (only the Expression and the operator, not the column) and no ability to remove such filters.

I know that I can turn off the menu actions (or the search bar altogether), but I have no idea if the blocking filters is possible, and if it is, it is possible to have users change them slightly. I know it's a bit contradictory, but that's how he wants. Personally, I think that's not possible, but he seems to have no confidence in its users.

    Someone has even a suggestion?

I would approach that is not through the interactive report integrated filtering, but with a filter made by hand.

For example - one way to do this:

    (1) that a new region and add two elements: text P99_LAWYER_NAME field, initially empty. and a "submit" button.
    (2) check your report interactive conditional region on P99_LAWYER_NAME is not null.
    (3) change the query that is used by your interactive report to filter the dataset based on P99_LAWYER_NAME, for example:

    ... WHERE myTable.lawyer_name like '%' || :P99_LAWYER_NAME || '%'

So most will display your IR is data specific to this name of the lawyer. If you really do not want to allow users to make any kind of partial filtering, and then disable the filtering options for the IR, or use a standard report of the Apex.

  • NAT for DVR Config question

    Hai all,

New to Cisco IAM, I have a Cisco 2811 router with 2 ethernet ports:

    Here is my config:

    2-port ethernet on my router

1 port 0/0 directly connected to the ISP link

WAN IP is configured as 122.183.1xx.6 ip and the gateway is 122.183.1xx.5

1 port 0/1 connected to my local network which is 192.168.1.0 network

    LAN Port 0/1 IP's 192.168.1.200

    Internet works fine

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If I do one that is my IP address?

I get the IP as 122.183.1xx.42

My ISP says its a Pool of LAN IP:

    122.183.1xx.43 - 47

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I just discovered my DVR outside of my internet network?

Do I need a NAT to view my DVR?

If I use an ID DYDNS my 2811 router filters the 37777.how port of release

DVR IP is 192.168.1.242 port is no 37777

What is the procedure for nat to a static pool of ip from my ISP? How to unblock port 37777?

    Help to sort it out...

    Thank you...

have you tried the previous suggestion? I asked for but I don't see everything.

To check if your ISP blocks or do not do the following:

    1. create an ACL as follows

access-list 199 permit tcp any newspaper EQ 37777 122.183.1xx.43 host

    access ip-list 199 permit a whole

    2. apply to the external interface

    Router (config) # int fa0/1

    (config-if) #ip group-access 199 in

    3. now Telnet 37777 outdoor port 122.183.1xx.43

    4. check if the th packages hit you box by running the following command:

See the list of 199 ip access

If you see numbers of access increases on the front-line ACL meanas your ISP does not block the traffic.

After doing this. Please send the latest config.

  • How to access any USB device in LabVIEW?

  • Problems with multicast UDP passage from 2009 to 2010

I have Windows 7 laptop computers of switching and reclassification of LABVIEW, LABVIEW 2010 2009. One of the vi, I developed in 2009 works fine on the old laptop, but with the new laptop and LABVIEW 2010 the UDP Multicast open read-only block throws error 59: the network is down, unreachable, or has been reset. The entries in the UDP Multicast Open are multicast addr: "224.0.0.1" (converted to an IP address with a chain of blocked IP addresses: 3758096385) and port: 20103.

I can monitor the UDP traffic with wireshark and check that everything works correctly. I can even run the old system at the same time without any problem, but the new system gets error 59. I checked all network settings, including turning off the windows firewall.

Anyone know of any questions that I might have missed?

Try to build an EXE file of the machine running on the machine of 2010 and 2009.

If it works OK, then the problem on the side of the barrier LabVIEW, if it fails, then it's a Windows problem.

"Unreachable" almost always means a problem of installation of the system.

  • Cisco Linksys E4200 v2 fails to process UPNP requests

Bought a new router E4200 v2 version last month and replaced my dlink dir-655 and I started to see the alerts on my server at home that it is impossible to configure the router.

Already checked on the router that UPNP is enabled. already tried disabling the firewall, ipv4 and ipv6 and turning too wide "filter applications anonymous Internet", but does not

then in WHS 2011 troubleshooting guildline, I ran a router online test tool: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/using/tools/igd/results.mspx

and all tests passed except "Testing UPNP" and the poster details a mistake:

'Test 5 - UPnP Support Test not supported

    Result:

The operating system is Windows Vista
    The firewall is turned on

Exceptions are provided by the firewall

UPnP is enabled by the firewall

    UPnP services are running

    Discovery of UPnP is enabled

    get_StaticPortMappingCollection() returns NULL IStaticPortMappingCollection

    get_StaticPortMappingCollection() returns NULL IStaticPortMappingCollection

Could not get the IGD port mapping ".

Now, it seems that my router is bad or cisco/linksys does not support this API and is not compatible.

is there a way to fix this?

    * Firewall can block almost all of the ports used by P2P clients. Check if the BitTorrent ports are made available to customers requesting. Disable the firewall of the router and enable uPnP features allow the BitTorrent ports to pass through.

    * As E4200 is a new Cisco router usually have a good level of security, and unless you have a good configuration configured on the router it can block the software work that uses UPNP.

    * If the ISP updates for IPV6 nodes still functionality for IPV4 will exist as the Lauch of IPV6 also depends on the hardware compatibility

So, once reset the router for Hard Reset 30/30/30

The following procedure will clear the NVRAM and set the router back to the default values:

With the power on, press and hold the reset button the back of the unit for 30 seconds
Without releasing the reset button, unplug the unit and hold reset for another 30 seconds
Plug in the appliance ALWAYS keeping the reset button a final 30 seconds...

Then reconfigure the router once more and then check the concern...
