• Advice needed - graphics card for After Effects and Premiere Pro

  Hi all

  I did research of PC in the hope of making an investment in the most powerful PC, I can afford without breaking, and I need some advice.  According to my research online, it would seem that the best configuration for video editing would include an Intel i7 processor and an nVidia GeForce GTX 590 graphics card.

  The problem is that each computer I see who has this combo is significantly more expensive than other computers that have an Intel i7 and GeForce GTX 570.  The best bang for my money, I found was HP - he had an Intel i7 processor but only use a GeForce GTX 550 graphics card.

  You all have my question is this: how much difference do these graphics cards in terms of actual speed and reduce the working time & time in After Effects and first Pro CS5/CS5.5 rendering?  Is - what value the extra $300 - $400 to get the GTX 590?  Or who would only drop a tiny minutes rendering time / performance of the software?  In addition, could get away with high speeds and times of rendering with a GTX 550?

  To give you an idea of what I use this software for: I'm working on wedding HD DSLR video, sometimes with several layers of courses on the effects and transitions; I'll work on videos ranging from a few minutes in length of more than 45 minutes in length.

  Beware of HP systems. In general, they are unperpowered from a perspective of power supply, they use custom PSU which can not be exchanged for something else that HP, they use custom for the power supply dimensions, so it is impossible to replace one yourself and they are anything but attractive from a perspective of RE-ENGINEERING. They are very hard to overclock or not at all and are nothing more than mediocre artists or performers.

  Specifications you gave shows that he is a misconfigured system. An i7-2600 system should have 8 or 16 GB of memory, not 12 GB. It must use the 4 DIMM connectors, not 3. The power supply is low in power for this video card. Primary drive is too much for OS & programs and a complete waste of space. On a well-tuned system 150 GB is more than enough. 2 TB is not appropriate. You miss the 3rd and 4th hard drive, you will really enjoy for the performance.

  In short, these specs look like a waste of money.

  I was interested to get a subscription to the cloud, but I just found out that my GPU is not compatible with After Effects. It's a deal breaker. Can't believe that there isn't a patch or something for this graphics card excellent!

  The only feature in After Effects for which this card cannot be used is acceleration GPU of the obsolete plotted in 3D rendering engine Department. All the other features of After Effects GPU must serve very well as this card. Keep in mind that After Effects uses the GPU for very little, so the GPU doesn't matter much for After Effects, anyway.

  I bought the complete creative cloud in the hope of a career for me in editing audio/visual. The problem is my system doesn't seem to be able to manage the software, especially when changing back and forth between the three programs mentioned above. In addition, my first project cannot export correctly. In addition, throughout its development the offbeat bad system.   Right now X 99 with DDR4 gives best performance for media applications of particular content with GPU acceleration. I suggest an I7 5960 X, 32 GB of DDR4 2666, 980GTX video card and Asus X 99 board with storage depends on the media. Far, who will perform the 2600 is old of 2 generations at this stage, which is only a Quad core with HT. The same X 99 tips can also manage the Xeons V3 if you upgrade the processor in the future for a larger load in real-time.

  Alright! Well CC plan to monthly/annual payment. If you want to stop the payment, you will have to give up this project.

  For activation and deactivation, you must simply disconnect and reconnect of the app. But that does not cancel your plan.

• STC 2 K in After Effects and SOUL - it's all good, but how to mark the file FADS like "advertising"?

  I need to convert a video FHD STC 2 k. I can get there with After Effects and Media Encoder and export/rendering as STC 2 k. The problem is the film needs the file marked as 'advertising' to be able to run it, and by default, it comes as a "feature".

  I couldn't find a path in the options for editing, in the media or AE encoder. Is there a way to actually change and mark / label as advertising? Or is the only way to make STC 2 k in AE and SOUL?

• Hard drive / SSD for After Effects optimization

  Hey everybody! Anyway, I wonder how to optimize my setup disk for After Effects. I don't know if the answer to this changes between AE versions we will just look at CS5.5 and CS6.

  My configuration:

  I7 - 3930 k OC had to 4.5 GHz

  48 GB of RAM (1866-999-24)

  EVGA GTX 770 4 GB classified

  120 GB SATA II SSD for drive C (operating system and programs, nothing else. Not even games)

  240GB SATA III SSD to scratch your files (50 GB reserved) and output

  500 GB (7200 RPM) HARD drive for media files (mainly AVCHD)

  3 TB external backup (not used when editing)

  My system already works pretty fast for what I do, but if the upgrade of my Sata II SSD or replace my HDD with a SSD would be me give another significant boost in speed, then I'm all for it. I doubt it would be nowhere near as well an increase in my last two upgrades well. The GTX 770 gave me a 3. 5 x for my projects 3D rendering speed boost from 16 GB to 48GB of RAM gave me 5.5 x ram preview speed boost. Regardless, I'm always looking for every ounce of power out my hardware because less time editing is more time with the family.

  Given my current setup. Should I change how I use my current readers or buy an another SSD to replace one of my existing records? I already intend to buy a Samsung 840 EVO 500 GB SSD, but if he won't really matter so I just pass on it.

  Oh, I also use first Pro CS5.5 frequently. Not sure if that changes anything.

  EDIT: Just found a link that helps the configuration of disk for Premiere Pro (below), but I'm still having a hard time finding how to optimize my disk configuration, as each reader is capable of a different speed. My fastest drive is drive C, the drive or the disk cache / scratch?

  Put the cache of AE on the SSD drive folder. The media cache will follow other media applications cache settings. That's all you need to worry about really. The Directory Windows Temp Variable is of course the operating system if it's a SSD this way.

  The old Adobe exchange site disappeared. I tried to download the extension of name changes, and it seems to work very well for photoshop and illustrator. Apparently, howerver, that there is no exchange for After Effects. What heppend to all these nice and cintreuses to pixel scripts?
