CFFILE download destination travel

Hello

I'm developing a site to download files on the network and I was wondering if there was a directory navigation utility (such as input type = 'file') where you can navigate to a destination directory to download the file. Looks like an obvious thing to want to do, but I can't seem to find anything that allows this.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

Thank you.

Thank you both for taking the time to help me. Between the 2 options, I should be able to understand something.

See you soon!

I need to use CFFILE to allow users to upload files to my site. The problem is that the server that I use is not the one I own, I rent space. • Question of CFFILE download

I have a question and I think I know the answer but I want to do a ping to each of you to see what you're saying. I'm developing an application using Mach-II. I would like to download a file. I have no problem see the filefield in my interlocutor. Technically, I could just treat the cffile action = "charge" just there in the listener, but I'd rather stick to the convention and transfer it in my FileService component instead. Is it possible to move the form file field to the service and the treatment then the upload?

I have the impression based on the way that CFFILE is built it is not possible. Please notify. I'll be happy to resolve any confusion my post may have.

My question was answered by Brian Rinaldi in the course of synthesis ( http://www.remotesynthesis.com/blog). He wrote an article on how to treat the downloads via Model-Glue. He has been able to clarify his position for me and now I understand what you have to do.

What it boils down to, is that you must submit the name of the fileField in a hidden field (for lack of a better way at this time) and through your methods rather than the value of your fileField.

  • Is it possible to have different download destinations for different websites?

I am a student. Sometimes I have to download assignments. It is VERY tedious work to sort each download to their subjects. Is it possible so my math homework save to my math papers Latin folder save to my Latin folder, etc. ?

The current versions of Firefox do not forget the directory download, based on the URL (host).

  • I need to save a download for travel by car without opening it. How?

My laptop has a virus that I am trying to eliminate. To do this, I have to download a registry fix on a clean computer and transfer it to my laptop infected. But I don't want the fix reg on the clean computer, so I don't want to open the download, I just on the road trip.

I guess that you are referring to the Download Manager window in your message above and not to a link on the page where you downloaded the file since we assumed in our responses.

  • Explorer Internet 8 no download destination don't fast - how?

I want that IE8 is not to prompt the user for the location target download: when you press 'Download', the file would be just silently get downloaded in the download folder by default ('My Documents' or 'My Music') if not specifically configured.
For example, in http://www.winzip.com/downwz.htm, I click on "Download now", a window titled "save under" appears, the directory is set to "My Documents" and a file name is displayed in a drop down box so if the folder and name of the file called me, I just have to click on 'OK '.
I want this step to be ignored: once I pressed the "Download" button, no prompt window, IE just tells me that it downloads this file name of 'My Documents '.
(just as for Chrome and Firefox)

  • Download cffile - error due to the security setting

Try to download any file using cffile download to a hosted Web site generates the CFCATCH errors:

    Access denied message(java.io.FilePermission C:\CFusionMX61\runtime\servers\default\SERVER-INF\temp\ wwwroot-tmp lu \neotmp38260.tmp)
    Type Security

The download works fine on my test MX7 Server and seems to be the result of a share of the hosting company server upgrade as the download of cffile is knocked out also on other sites I have with the same hosting company.

The error seems to occur at the place where the coldfusion server stores the file to download in a .tmp temporary file in a temporary folder before passing on the destination folder in the right format to .doc that is.

My impression is that it is a simple permission problem but the host insists that there is no restraint on this download. Has anyone encountered this before?

A large part of the obligation for any assistance.

    Tony D

In fact, I spoke too soon. Download of cffile works after upgrade to MX7 so maybe the host said it straight when they called their MX6.1 server a bit of a 'small '.

    Thank you for your time,

  • Why is my mail downloads enter this obscure chain of records?  / Library/containers/com. Apple.Mail/Data/Library/Mail downloads.

I've had trouble finding my mail app downloads.  First of all, they won't in the 'Mail download' folder located in my Finder window.  Sometimes they are found in the "Downloads" folder  Other times, I can't immediately find their.  But if I search the name of the file, I noticed that my downloads in my mail application will in a download folder.  But this case is dark, buried somewhere deep in a series of folders.  Here is the chain of records for a recently downloaded file: downloads/F6320D5C-E169-47E8-9A09-00c408F1422D of tlynch/library/containers/com.apple.mail/data/library/mail.

When I look in this folder downloads deep within this chain (and from com.apple.mail...), I find that some first downloads have been stored there directly.  But there are about two and a half years each downloaded file started being placed in a separate folder.  And the names of these folders are a long string of 32 alphanumeric characters.

Are these folders the actual location of the files?  I can remove them?

Can I reset the download destination? The pointer to the location of storage in the messaging application has been corrupted? Or I need to reinstall the program?

    Thanks for your help.

This obscure folder structure is the usual place for downloading attachments in the Mail and most other e-mail clients.

When you choose 'Download' the attachment, the file will be saved by default to the location defined in Mail-> Preferences-> general.

    Hello

You should be able to choose any folder you want to save a file download, the download in your user account folder is the default.

When the download dialog box appears, click the "Save" button.

Should then, open the Save as dialog box. You can navigate to the folder where you want to download the file and click on that folder.

If you do not see the navigation area of the files, click Browse folders down / to the left of the Save as dialog box.

After you have selected the file, click Save to begin the download.

You must select a folder in your user account for the download files.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

  • Adobe download software tests but do not open

    Hello.

I have problems to download Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. I'm working on a Windows XP PC, I'm guessing that since 2004. Tried to download Illustrator via the Cloud. Tried to open the program; it loaded for a few minutes and then came up with the following message "this program has encountered a problem and needs to close. We apologize for any inconvenience. »

Then downloaded InDesign without program helping - directly on the site. This also failed. I tried to remove the program and then download it again in a different location, but this did not help. I repeated this process several times, tried several different places, but no luck. The software will actually download, but does not open. When I try to download in the Adobe download window (for the download destination folder options), there is a yellow symbol with an exclamation mark next to "Adobe InDesign" and the file size will be.

I thought there were not enough disk space, but even after that I tried to clear the space program did not open. I'm pretty certain disk space isn't the issue because my computer tells me that I have enough space to download InDesign.

I also read somewhere that the reason why InDesign can not open, this is the printer default may not be connected. I have connected default printer, downloaded the program again and the problem was not corrected.

I have also tried to download Adobe Photoshop and in the destination download folder, the yellow exclamation point symbol options does not appear. However, this program crashes too after I open it. Unlike with InDesign, I get to the system menu of Photoshop, but after a few minutes of loading it comes up with the message: "this program has encountered a problem and needs to close. We apologize for any inconvenience. "Someone pointed out on another forum that I had to download SP3 which I did, and Photoshop has run for 6 hours before crashing.

Tried to download Illustrator but load for a few moments before crashing.

Cecliicious4 to confirm you have upgraded on April 8 to Windows XP Service Pack 3 by your previous discussion to http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1187050 correct?

If Yes, then you can also look at the system requirements for Photoshop and InDesign, you can reference to http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/tech-specs.htmland check there is no additional configuration required which have not been met.

You can also do an additional maintenance on your system to verify that you are running overheating issues that could be the cause of the failed computer.  I mention this, because you have indicated that you are trying to install the latest version of the Adobe Creative Software on a 9 year old computer.  The amount of dust in the housing, if cleaned up, could cause all sorts of unpredictable effects that are similar to what you described above.

Finally, you can check that the installation was successful by examining your Setup logs.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret logs to troubleshoot installation with install newspapers | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

InDesign has warned me that my 30 day trial has expired and I can't download the program again. I would appreciate your help.

Well well, brief and accurate: you do not meet the system requirements, which is your Win XP does not have Service Pack 3 or is otherwise misconfigured. Run Windows Update and install SP3.
