• Why the drop shadow options change all layers not only the photo im working on?

  I have a poster with different layers, like text, photo, etc.  I have inserted a new photo and make a shadow, changing the size, spread and distance, but when I change some of these options as the angle or distance all the layers on the poster who shadows behind all the changes that I chose for the inserted picture.  I reproduced just the photo layer to use a drop shadow (using only the option of distance), then it changed all the text on the poster with her.  ???   PROBLEM: I would like that the title attribute of a <: has > to display its content in the overview, but prevent what anyone to occur when you click.

  Background: In the source page below, I have a lot of words that is highlighted with the < em >.  Without special effort at the viewer these words appear with the decoration of the italics.  If the cursor is passed over these words, they are highlighted, and if the cursor is held some time the content of the title attribute is displayed.  If the viewer clicks on these words, however, the beaches of action nothing happens, to move to the top of the page to move to the first < a > with a name attribute.  My goal is not to have anything happen beyond special rollover effects.

  I tried all sorts of approaches, including a doNothing() {} JavaScript.  Yet, I can not remove this unwanted, erratic behavior.

  I guess you want to decrease the C partition and want to add free space to the second partition D. right?

  In this case, you will need to use a 3rd party software as for example: * GParted *.

  I recommend looking in the internet for this application.
  Its freeware and very nice.

• Explorer Windows in Windows 7 change suddenly last updated Date of the files attribute

  I'm moving from XP Pro to Win 7 of last month during this process, I came across a disturbing behavior in Windows Explorer in Windows 7.

  In Windows 7 (and I hear Vista as well) Windows Explorer will sometimes change the file Date changed when slide it / file to a new location.  I spent hours researching this issue.  In some discussions, some participants said it is a reasonable thing, since copying a folder with files creates a new folder and new files, so a new modified Date is guaranteed.  I can understand that as a basis to change the creation Date.  This was the behavior under XP and I think that NT as well.  However, changing the Date of change is a fundamental departure from how the system of files are featured in the past, and it is also a serious departure from good sense.  At the very least, it will make it impossible to find or organize files by date of update, since the original modification Date (date the actual content of the file may have been modified) is lost.  It also seriously decreases the possibility of finding files duplicated by this attribute when simply copy a file it modifies.

  Change the folder view options can prevent this behavior (Options: view folders: check always show icons, never thumbnails).  In addition, edit a file to read-only will also stop this change of Date of modification.  However, none of these options provide a viable solution to this problem.  All first, change the option to display file then prevents look a thumbnails of the image files.  Change once the copy of file causes the copied files to change Date change date created.  The same is true for the readonly attribute (removing it causes the modification Date change), not mention that it is often impractical to effectively apply this strategy.

  I also note that this behavior is not consistent in all areas.  Files copied from a shared disc on a PC network do not seem to this behavior.  But, files and folders transferred by using Dropbox (www.dropbox.com) show the unwanted behavior.  Worse still, the behaviour was not consistent within the folder.  I transferred a file with the 2007 via Dropbox eml files.  In most tests, once the folder has been moved and dropped on the Win 7 machine (whether copied or moved) the Date of editing files has been changed to take account of the date and time that they were dropped.  However, in one case, two of the files has not changed the Date of change.  By clicking on the file or even open it to read has not made a difference.  The modification Date remained unchanged.  I don't really know why this was the case in this instance, given that these same files has been modified Date change in previous experiences.

  Frankly, I'm puzzled and dismayed that this did not become a more important issue.  Do not have a lot of imagination to see how this problem might affect users old files of e-mail to archiving as LME and anyone copy older files, who later need to search or sort them by the Date of change.  There are solutions that I know, as the compression of the files before any copy or use Robocopy with the appropriate options, but they are much less practical as drag - drop.  Furthermore, drag and drop is now so embedded in users what their likely natural choice for file copy or move.  Once the modification Date is lost, it cannot be found without a restore of backup files - once again, an unrealistic option and a lot of time.

  I think it is a serious problem that needs to be processed quickly by Microsoft.  Good design keeps logical and mitigates the factors that can lead to human error.  The above behavior fails both these needs.  Anyone found a solution for this (maybe change registry) or to know if and when Microsoft plans to approach this?

  I've just dealt with the same problem when copying all the contents of my hard drive and found an impressive (and without :-)) Microsoft Utility called RichCopy which solves this problem and makes it much easier to copy a large number of files/folders :-))

I know that I can customize my preferences to 'apply the updated source shaped', but it is automatically added to spacing to the attributes of the tag and I don't see a way to change this in the options I give.   You don't miss anything.  DW uses conventional spaces between the CSS attributes.

  You can shrink your CSS code at the end of the project.  That will remove the spaces and line breaks.

  He is expected to not be able to see the values if you change the Custom3TopMember.

  I suggest to undo the change, check if the data is still there, extract the data, change the data in order to include the new analysis and then reload the data.

• Changing all the semantic VARCHAR2 length in BYTE to CHAR columns

  our database is to use character set AL32UTF8, i.e. multibyte.

  All our VARCHAR2 columns have been specified as VARCHAR (xxx) semantic unspecified length explicit, which makes VARCHAR(xxx BYTE) because NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS is set on 'BYTE' (default Oracle).

  I wonder now if it would cause problems to enter and execute the ALTER TABLE statement to change all the columns of VARCHAR2(xxx BYTE) to VARCHAR2(xxx CHAR), leaving the same xxx. For example, if a VARCHAR2 column (100 BYTE) would be amended to be VARCHAR2(100 CHAR).

  If I am not entirely mistaken, - on the contrary - it would make the columns longer, not shorter; I expect to not get errors on the values of existing records being too long to change the specifications of the column in this way (as it may happen when the shortening of a VARCHAR column, for example, of varchar (10) to varchar (5)). So I think the ALTER TABLE statements should go without problem.

  I would also change NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS to TANK.

  Are there problems or consequences I might meet when I do this? I'm not worried about the implications for code enforcement external or such, but simply the integrity / performance / etc on the database level.

  It is a 11.2.0.x of Oracle database.

  You can make this change to your drawings, but not for Oracle schemas or third party. It would usually not be supported.

  You will not get the errors associated with the data in the table. However, you can encounter errors due to:

  1 index of issues of key length - the maximum length of an index key in bytes (based on the column definitions, no real content column) is limited to about 70% of the size of the block of the tablespace containing the index. If you try to do a column belonging to a larger index key by applying the semantics of length in characters, you get an error if the change causes the index key limit.

  2. some columns cannot be changed. This includes, but may not be limited to, the columns that are referenced by expressions of virtual column and the functional index expressions, columns that have indexes defined on them, and columns field belonging to a partitioning key.

  3. you can not change the columns that store attributes of the type defined by the user in this way. You must change the definition of type instead.

  Also, do not change NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS initialization file. Include the keyword CHAR in your scripts or ALTER SESSION SET NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS = CHAR in these scripts. Value of the initialization file will affect all the scripts for Oracle products and third-party and can create tables with the semantics of unexpected length. Therefore, for compatibility reasons, this parameter in init.ora/spfile parameters is not recommended.

• Change all paths in a layer without using a layer appearance attribute

  I suspect I did it wrong for a while, but I don't know how to do it right.

  If I want to change the appearance of all paths in a layer (say, something simple to change their line color), it is pretty easy to target in the layer by clicking on the button of the target layer. However, when I do change (as outline in orange color setting), it appears in the appearance of the layer itself - each element within the layer are not orange line directly in their appearance attributes, they just inherit the appearance of the layer attributes.

  I understand that this is the intended behavior, but I found that it's easier for me to avoid the layer effects and have just each element in a layer to be autonomous and show all its own attributes of appearance without something inheriting from the upper layer (I tend to forget and be confused about when they appear). However, I don't know how to force the appearance of a layer down to its subcomponents (likely the compensation of the appearance of the layer to avoid duplication). Is it some commands I'm missing?

  Now how I do it, it's all in the layer by using the layer target, then UN-target target the highest member of the layer. This allows me to change the appearance of all items in the layer (except the one at the top) without changing the appearance of the layer itself. Then I do the top separately. Seems kludgier than she should be. Any help? Thank you.

  tqrtuomo, I was confused by the present, sometimes as well and made the same thing you describe. I think the key, when selecting on a given layer or group is to click on the 'right' of the 'Target' button in the layers panel to the layer/group level. Make sure that there is no 'circle' around the target button or appearance will be assigned to the layer/group.
