Change of context parameter

Hello world

If I change a context using OEM parameter, will be this parameter comtext get updated at the same time the context stored in the data base and top appl file.

Some could help me on this.

Thank you
Silver

My doubt is a context file is stored in the database (I'm not refereing the context file for the node database here)
and the other in the file sytem. If I update a context parameter (for example, file context for the appliciaton node) using OAM, then it will update the context file stored in the database and file system or just the contextparametes in the datababse.

Update the application via OAM context file will update only the application context file or the server. You need to run the automatic configuration, and then update the context variables that are stored in the database.

Thank you
Hussein

  • Change the INITRANS parameter to the existing blocks

    Version 11.2.0.2.0

Hello guys, got little stuck to change the INITRANS parameter to a table partition. The table is partitioned by range.

To change the INITRANS and PCTFREE for new block that will be generated, I can use the following statement.

ALTER TABLE < table_name > PARTITION EDIT < nom_partition > INITRANS < value > < value > PCTFREE;   (but this change will apply only to newly created blocks and not the existing blocks).

I try to change the existing blocks too, so when I read the thread on otn How do I change initrans in the partition table? he said to use the 'MOVE' clause, so I used the following statement.

ALTER TABLE < table_name > FILM PARTITION < nom_partition > INITRANS < value > < value > PCTFREE; (they said that this measure will apply the change to exisiting blocks as well), but when I executed this statement I got the following error message.

ORA-14020: this physical attribute may not be specified for the partition table.

Can someone tell me where I'm wrong and I have to do correctly to apply the change initrans and pctfree to existing blocks of the table too?

  • How to change the PCTFREE parameter for an existing table

How to change the PCTFREE parameter for an existing table?

Guys can you help me please

    Hello

    Of course it is possible.
In this case you would export the table from the database (using old style exp)
Start the import with the index_file option to generate the table/index instructions
Modify the file created and updated the PCTFREE and remove any that need to be performed (default, if I remember correctly, he comments on the statements of the Index)
Run the file for the table and the index created
After that start the import with the option "ignore = yes".

Make sure that you export only this particular table using "tables =
Also in importing the "ignore = yes" will also be important data that still exists.

In my view, however, this is not what you want to do. It's more complex, sensitive failure and the table should be deleted, so users are affected unnecessarily long.

  • After that I changed the Duplex parameter on NIC's Service console, I am not able to connect the ESX host

    Hi all

    Please help solve my problem.

After that I changed the Duplex parameter on NIC's Service console, I am unable to connect the ESX host. How can I reset the 100 MB NETWORK card duplex. Can someone help me please.

    Concerning

    Vijay

    Hello

As the bulb you have two problems that are not related.

    (1) duplex setting, your switch and NIC must match. If one is assigned to auto-negotiation, then the other must be set to auto-negotiation. Personally, I tend to let auto-negotiation unless there is an absolute reason to spend. If you then turn on the both sides of the interface, the switch port and esxcfg-NICS allows you to change the duplex, etc.

    (2) passwords for root are not related to the network unless you have also run esxcfg-auth authentication remote.  The only time I saw what you have here is when the system is configured to try to authenticate remote and not locally.

The two problems are fixable by booting into single-user mode, set the duplex and reset the password.

    Basically, you know the answer...

Why you call procedure Tester pr_tester with the name of schema prefix (definer1.pr_tester) during his call of the schema of the invoker?

Now... Imagine the following query runs under the scheme of the appellant:

    SELECT global_pkg.add2_rr (1.1)

    IN l_num

    FROM DUAL;

the schema of the invoker 'knows' global_pkg?

I had not being pasted on the screen 'pending media' for both versions, but this used to happen quite frequently at the time CC (7.0). A way that I would like to clarify so was by disabling shall return it. Just go to the sequence > delete appears in the menu bar, see if that helps.

  • Degeneration of the resolution after the change of context

I used magic extrator to isolate my subject on a photo high resolution (3000 x 4000 pixels).  Then I put it on a background that I got on the Internet.  It was beautiful on screen, but when I went to print it in a camera shop, the resolution is so low that I couldn't use the image.  Also, I don't know how to add a background in any other way. Is that what others have had the resolution of the photo at this point degenerate when he was put on a background?  Thank you for any advice you can give me.

When you combine two images, the background image (background) determines the resolution of the whole photo. If you find it necessary to reduce your subject after putting on the new background, which is a good sign that the bottom was a much lower resolution than the original file of the subject.

  • Change the cpu count parameter in spfile

    Hi all

I need to change the count parameter CPU in spfile in a production database, as we intend to add a processor on the server

Since this is a static setting. I believe that DB bounce is required

    sqlplus / as sysdba

    SQL > alter system set cpu_count = 3 scope = spfile

    modified system.

And then bounce the DB to apply changes in the MS file.

Can anyone confirm that this is the right way to do it?

(or) should we create pfile and then manually change (number of CPUs) and then use pfile at startup and then create spfile and bounce the database again to make the changes

    Thank you

    Mandine

Unless you want to restrict an instance to use only a subset of the available processors (called 'instance caging', part of the Resource Manager) you can leave the number of processors in the area by default. But anyway, it's a dynamic parameter, so you can change any time:
