change of .pps in .jpg

How can I change .pps photos in a .jpg file so that they will appear on my screen saver. Using Windows 7

Hi Kerisis,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community and thanks for posting the question.

According to the description, it seems that you try to stay .pps file in .jpg format.

Files PPS is a slide show in Microsoft PowerPoint, I would say first of all copy the PPS file image to another folder and then try the following steps.

Step 1:

Right-click on the file and select Rename, delete the last '.' and mention .jpg press enter and try to open it now.

Step 2:

Right-click one of the files you want to be opened by a specific program.

Note: If you are certain you want a particular program, the default for JPG all the time, then always leave "use the selected program to open this type of file" checked, otherwise uncheck for a test.

Hope that the information provided is useful.

In the folder that you saved in, you have selected all the files right?

If you want to change the format, there are a lot of tools out there. I use this one for a large number of photo features.

    FastStone Image Viewer
    http://www.FastStone.org/

If you click on tools in the Menu bar, the first option is to Batch Convert selected Images. Collect all the BMP files and convert them to jpg. Very simple.

  • Need to change the extension to .jpg .jpeg file

My scanner will save an image in jpeg format, but my application requires the extension is .jpg .jpeg instead.  In Windows XP, I could easily change that, but I do not see the extension to rename it in Windows 7.

    Try this
Start > computer > organize > folder options and research > view > uncheck - Hide extensions of known file types

    I hope this helps.

  • How to use a directory and change the sizes of jpg

Maybe I'm in the weeds here, but I'm looking to use an action to walk all files in a directory and for all jpg files to reduce the size of the longest side at certain age % and then save the file in a nother directory.  So I need to be able to:

    for all the files in the named directory {}

    look at the file type

    If {.jpg

Look at the size of the image

apply % next longest retractable age

    Save the file

    }

    }

Simple stuff, but I don't know if stock allows me to do the walkor playback of the type or the criterion of size, etc.

So if possible, can someone tell me the orders for action I need - or - another way to do this.

    Thank you

Take a look at this video tutorial on a custom by Benjamin Root action. If you don't care no watermark, you can omit that.

It includes the reduction of the images in a certain size, both landscape and portrait, adding web profile sRGB and save in jpeg format.

  • JavaScript, close and save the changes without dialogue of JPG quality

I'm working on a script that exports the images in Illustrator and resize them in Photoshop to be at the right height/width/dpi that we need. I send the command through BridgeTalk and resizing works great, but when I try to use doc.close (SaveOptions.SAVECHANGES); PS stop on each image with a JPEG quality dialog box.

    jpg_options.jpg

Is there anyway around this dialogue? I know that I can make a record under, but that forces JPG as the file type and sometimes we export png using the same script, then it becomes a much more complicated script if I add conditions and to save the options for the types of files and send them via the deck. I just want to save what he was already of file format and keep moving forward. Is there a force save that overrides dialog boxes? I also tried a line of code to disable (displayDialogs = DialogModes.NO) dialog boxes, but this does not work either. Is it possible to get around this problem or I have to go the other way and make the conditional script and use Save as. The annoying part is that it works perfectly for the png! Thanks in advance for any help!

When I run your code on a jpg document that had been saved by Photoshop in the past.  Here I open a jpg file that has been saved by Photoshop and use to adapt the image to resize the image and to run your code, close "app.activeDocument.close (SaveOptions.SAVECHANGES)" I don't get no quality POPUP dialog.  It must be because your file was saved by the Illustrator in jpeg format with the Photoshop doesn't know what quality the jpeg file.

  • Can I use Organizer to change the size of .jpg of all photos in a folder in a batch process?

We use wa-a-ay too much disk space for a growing collection of photography.   My daughter is a monster of a camera with four children - have to - I say more?

In my current test file, the size of the original photos range from 2.3 MB to 4.2 MB.  I took a picture at random and printed original and then three more, saved by PSE9 as .jpg files with quality average, maximum and minimum settings on regular letter-size paper and still on paper photo 4 x 6.  It takes a magnifying glass and a kneecap calibrated to detect a difference on paper, and it is even more difficult on photo paper.  I think that I should take the pressure off the hard drive capacity of all reduce to a more reasonable size; After all, minimum quality printing takes less than 1% of the space like the print quality.

I have the feeling that I can accomplish this in a batch process with the Organizer, but that's all I've got is the intuition - not the know-how.   I would like someone to make me scroll through the process.

Also, I expect a lecture on why I shouldn't do this.  Go ahead; I will listen.

    Thanks, Bud

You are the only one to judge... You won't regret it if you want to use photos with the size and the original resolution at a later date?

Yes, you can use the organizer or the command 'treat multiple files' Editor. But first, you should think about two questions:

-Are you ready to save full resolution and size files before the "shrinkage"? External USB drives with large capacities are available and affordable.

-What you say, the optimum size would be for files resized to size 4 "x 6" at 300 DPI in 8 to 10 jpeg quality.

Resizing the Editor: use the command 'treat multiple files' and click on the button "Same as source". I do it without a backup of first sound... This can be done per-folder.

Resizing of the Organizer: use the 'Export' command This command leaves the original and puts the files in a new folder. The resulting files are NOT included in the catalogue. This means that the maintenance of your organization (albums, categories, tags,...) will be difficult. even if you use a file management system.

Another solution with third party software such as Faststone photo resizer:

-Absolutely do a full backup before

-Run the resizing of the external software options so that files are resized without being moved. Replacing the originals.

-If you use the Organizer, your organization will be preserved, but the size of the files in the catalog databases and the thumbnail will be wrong. You can recreate the thumbnail cache by deleting the thumbs.5.cache file in your catalog folder. It will be rebuilt automatically.

That worked for me in the past... no warranty for you!

How do you change installation date file name IE 20130618_293.jpg to all IMG293.jpg

If it's just a personal folder, and then right-click on the file, select Rename , then change the name to what you want and press enter. Avoid changing the file extension (.jpg in this case) as it may cause problems with it being recognized as the wrong file type.

  • Should "Advanced" jpg be exported so that the changes are recognized by the other viewers/software?

I have the box checked in the catalog preferences to include the parameters of development within jpg files.

What I have to export jpg files from Lightroom for other programs and photo viewers to 'see' the changes I did to jpg files in LR 5.3?

Yes, normally develop Raw files but I was wondering how jpgs, I import into LR, are treated when I make changes to their in LR?

Jpg is treated exactly the same way in RAW format with regard to display in other non-Adobe applications. They must be exported for the changes to be visible in non-Adobe applications. Including the development in a JPG file parameters do not help non Adobe applications to see the changes.

  • Export files jpg without changes?

I have several sets of images of the medium in which I selected an exhibition and make the changes.

Now I would separately export manufactured from crude oil without color change but always cropped jpg resized files. (recently)

Export using the original will export the raw not the jpg image I want.

What I suspect I will have to do as a work one around is to export the originals, then create a new temp catlog and reimport them and export as JPGs reized I want and recrop the few who need it.

Information for the next time that I may have to do. Thank you

If someone can provide a response without a why I'd appreciate it.

Create a collection of virtual copies, reset the settings of one of the pictures and synchronize to all others (excluding crops). Export, then delete these VCs.

  • How to stop files .jpg, mentioned in the section of text emails when sent as attachments.

    Concerning

    Pete

Hi Bruce - Thanks for the info. sending only the resized pix effect the quality if the recipient wishes to make prints of the pix. Also, I have experienced by changing the file extension .jpg to, for example, .xxx and this fom seems to stop the pix that are part of the text. The recipient then changes again in the .jpg file extension. Is this likely to cause problems?

Should have no effect on the results. Bruce Hagen
