  I created a form document with ID.

  The problem with special characters will appear after you export to interactive PDF files.

  When filling text field, character special (Polish language in my case specials) are replaced by the squares.

  I don't know if it is a problem of ID (and I should encoding when creating pdf somehow) or Acrobat/Reader problem (tried both and also in Polish or English versions).

  I need to pre fill five fields when the user opens the form using Acrobat Reader (title, name, address, etc.). The values are saved in an xml data file in the same directory as the form (no database or web services connections). I tested the xml code and form structures using shapes-> manage form data-> import data and everything works fine. Now, I need to emulate this behavior programmatically, so it does not work using only Acrobat Reader. I can't find the magic java script command to import the data (I tried xfa.host.importData and xfa.datasets.data.loadXML without result). Require purchase Pro or Livecycle Server product is not an option. This seems to be a basic requirement, so I hope I'm just being stupid and missing of which is obvious. Thank you.

  Unless you're reader allowing the form with LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES, users with reader will NOT be able to import (or export) XML.

• PDF form coming in the e-mail, but no form fields are filled

  I want to open a full PDF file and not an XML file which is sent when someone fills out a form online.  So, I made a document in Word, saved as a PDF, and then imported into LiveCycle Designer 8.0.  From there on, I created the fields in the form, add a button for the email out because the stock e-mail button does not work properly from what I've read (change the command send, add the e-mail address and change submitted as a PDF file) and save the document.  I then have an open document in Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro.  Go to advanced and choose enable usage rights in Adobe Reader.  Then save this file under a new name.  Then I can the PDF by e-mail to someone or put it on my site.

  Here's the problem:

  When someone fills out the form, it will automatically send automatically to the correct mailbox (good).  The PDF file opens and the PDF form looks like that I designed this (good).  But all form fields that have been filled... nothing appears. all I see is my PDF (bad) form.  I tried at least a dozen ways over the past two days to create the PDF... but when the received PDF file is opened later, none of the form fields are visible with what someone types in.

  Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?  I'm not good at Adobe, but I'm learning.  I can understand most of the things, but this problem is driving me crazy.

  Thr default iOS or iAnything PDF Viewer does not support on a PDF form fields.

  Without knowledge of the programs and specific systems, it is difficult to answer.

  Overview programme Apple on Macintosh systems is known to have problems with the form, and it corrupts form fields insofar as they do not display the data unless the user is in the field. It is also know to make simple PDFs unreadable.

  There could also be problems with various mail programs because PDF forms contain binary data and not simple text.

  This isn't a problem with script. Just give each field of the same name. Once the field names are the same, a change in one will be to another. For some reason that it does not work with standard HTML forms, probably the reason why you ask.

  This is not possible with PDF forms created in Acrobat, that in those created using LiveCycle Designer.

  I think they may have chosen Flash especially so that you cannot save a copy. Although Acrobat can convert Flash files (it cannot) you couldn't get the Flash site as a file for conversion. (I hate these books in this way, I also prefer to work with a PDF file. Some people really feel it's better for their users, but I think it's people who don't actually use books).

  Since you're using Chrome, if it's using its built-in PDF as opposed to Acrobat or Reader Viewer? Propose actions do not seem to work when the viewer of PDF of Chrome is used.

  I do a lot of forms for one of my clients. The largest part, I have been doing for indesign CC, but a few specific changes I need to do in Acrobat Pro. There is one thing that I can't understand, lets see if I can describe it correctly;

  One of the 'forms' is a certificate of my clients customers get. On this certificatie is a graphic box in which the accounts manager, makes the sale, must type the name of the new customer's company.

  So I made a field of text for this, but here's the thing:

  I would like to display the description of the field (which is 'Type the company name') visible on the field in acrobat.

  1 account manager opens the form

  2 sees where to type the name of the company

  3 types

  4 the description will be invisible with printing

  It would be even better if the description text becomes invisible after typing, but maybe it's a bridge too far?

  Can someone help me with this, or maybe look into another?

  Hi and thanks in advance.  I just created my first PDF form.  This works well when sent to my pc, read, filled out and returned.  However, it is difficult to fill on my iPhone, because of the size of the fields.  I set the preferences for the size of the text on Auto and in certain designated areas a size small text, but doesn't seem to work.  Alignment is also random, even if it is set to the left.  To clarify, I can view the correct form on the iPhone, but the fields default to a larger text size.  How can I fix it?  Thank you!

  In this case go to tools - prepare the form, right-click the field and select Properties, then Options.

  Look if the boxes 'Limit characters X' or 'Comb of characters X' is selected. If Yes, select not them, and then click OK.

  Leave the form editing mode, and then try again.

  I just spotted a problem with this in a page on a site, with two forms side by side. (limited space has highlighted it.)

  FF on Mac is essentially longer text fields that any other browser:
