• Can I programmatically change the active group on a Hypertrend in DSC?

  I would like to know how to change the active group of a hypertrend program in Labview DSC.  I saw a link that says it can be done at Lookout.  But in the module DSC, the active group is read-only.

  I know a hard way to do it.  I could save the settings of hypertrend as xmlSettings in a temporary file.  The active group is one of the parameters.  I could then change the group active in this file text to point to the new group, and then reload the settings.  But this isn't a clean way of dong it.

  Anyone know if there is an easy way?

  I found a way to do it but not very clean.  I don't know why there is no function to change the current group.

  Here's how I did it.

  By clicking on the Stand-alone namespace change link is there for that. We now have a group of ports with the stand-alone namespace and the additional menu tabs, firewall App and SpoofGuard.

  

  I can of course change for autonomy through the user interface, but can not find the equivalent API calls in the vShield API Programming Guide to do it programmatically. Can someone please advise on how to do this via the API?

  Thought that I would realize, since I figured this out in the end - a case of RTFM! Namespaces to appear in the Guide of programming on page 186, but there is no explicit mention of the way to make a group of independent ports. However, after revisiting the guide the penny dropped that adding a space of names to the data center is the equivalent of the evolution of a group of ports to a stand-alone namespace. Once you enter that (may be more obvious to you, it was for me), the examples in the guide can be followed.

  So to change ports for the autonomy group namespace, you must do the following:

  Https:///api/2.0/namespace/datacenter/ POST

  dvPortGroup-xxxxx

  Make sure that the content type is set to application/xml, text/xml (which has worked for me in the document) and not in the contrary case, it fails with a complaint about content type.

  Check the built-in SET_LOV_PROPERTY, you can use this then assign a recordgroup to a lov.

  The home edition of any version of windows (NON PRO) cannot participate in areas or group policy.

  Use the vSphere client to connect to the host that is running the VM vCenter.

  In this session of vSphere client, you can

  (a) change the VLAN switch vSS

  (b) open a console for the VM vCenter and change the IP settings it

  The vCenter VM will lose its network connection, but your session will continue to run, because you are connectly directly to a host (and no to vCenter).

  If the vCenter server is connected to an Active Directory server, then make sure to use a local administrative account or a domain administrator with cached credentials to connect.

  Furthermore, after you change the IP address of vCenter you will probably run the issue described here: http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1001493, but the article contains a resolution for this.

• Need to change the font color of link in the Notes

  After using a pretty decent Notes app for several years, I decided that gap after that a recent update has managed to remove a bunch of notes but also wrongly arbitrarily assign to various independent records.  The dev did not see fit to help.  So I decided to spend while Notes from Apple since it had some praise review and it works between Mac OS and iOS.

  All started well with several hundred copied until today when I copied a number that includes links.  Oh shit!  I just can't read the links due to use very little sensitive to very low color contrast - perhaps yellow?  Understand now that I have a decent vision – 20/20 fixed as a result of a slight farsightedness and I do not have color blindness, but trying to read characters from a link in the Notes is pure torture.  Sorry for the hyperbole, but it's true.

  I increased the contrast of the display using the system Pref accessibility, which really doesn't help, and I can't find anything else that alleviate the problem.

  Is it possible to change this?  I am familiar with the Terminal so if there is a way to do it via the Terminal, which would be a boon.

  We seem all to dislike the legacy colors Blue or purple link, but in most cases, we were able to change them.  However, in my worst nightmares, I can't imagine what jerk at Apple decided that no contrast is the way to show a link.  Without forgetting the Visual deficient QA group which took place and closed on it.

  Edit: I also opened the Format > police > display fonts, then highlighted a link.  Text color icon at the top of the table of fonts changed to imitate the yellow color of the link.  Tried to change it there with no luck.  Whose light had the idea to limit the choice of the user, in particular those who are wired into the operating system?

  FWIW, I do not normally comment on GUI issues. However, in this case, you are perfectly right. It is yellow and it is almost unreadable. I don't know how to change the color of the link, but you can drop Apple a note.

  Maybe this post in microsoft.public.windows.vista.games too, but the game you are trying to install?

  Vista disables the default 256 color mode, but if you right-click on the Setup file, select Properties, then the Compatibility tab there should be an option to run 256 color mode, but I don't know of many games where the configuration of your system in mode 256 colors will set the installation program.

  The attached picture is a PNG and has a transparent background behind the main design body and the text at the bottom.

  I created the design in indesign and then exported as a PNG file, the background was always white because to achieve the shape of the design, I used a piercing group.   Just make a selection of words and then use a fill color adjustment layer.

  (Layer > fill new layer > solid color)

  CTRL or command click the thumbnail in the layers panel, and then subtract from selection of everything except the words.

  Use the rectangular selection tool while pressing the Alt or Option key to subtract from selection of everything except the words.
