Change the default Disc Format in Add drive/new VM Wizard?

Hi all

Anyone know if it is possible to change the default disk size selection in vCenter 5.1 (or the vSphere Client/Web Client if it is what is responsible for selecting the current zero thick lazy format) "Zero thick eager" when using complete the wizard for the creation of new virtual machines, adding disks of virtual machines, etc.?

Thank you!

I'm afraid there is no option to configure your preferences. What you could do is to create a template and clone the new virtual machines of it or perform scripted creation of VM.

I would also like to throw a few metatags etc in there.

In fact, I'm now working on a project with two includes at the top and one at the bottom. It would be heaven to them in place but I would sacrifice to get the space where it probably should be (or one of the places it should be useful). Abouth the ONLY place that is completely useless is between < / head > < body >. I don't think I ever deliberately put any code in there :-)

  • Change the default format for burning discs of this system active files in the ISO image format

How can I change the default format for burning discs of this system of active files to ISO image format?  I don't want the active file as the default system and really don't want to have to choose what I want to use the default every time.  It's boring. I have Vista x 64 on my computer and have not yet adapted to all the changes in XP.

Thanks, but it's not useful.  It is more that an 'improvement' Microsoft did that, as I fear, is a total and far failure to be an improvement.  It also means that I'll just use a 3rd party program to burn all my CD/DVDs.  You know if I wanted to be able to remove, reformat, etc.. CD/DVD I would use those rewritable.  That's why they exist.

  • Change the default storage drive

Make me relive an old XP computer I used for video editing for my son who has a separate data reader and want to be able to store all your photos and music and all Word documents on this drive. How to change the default setting to store all data in My Documents, my music, etc. on this disc.

    Jim Crum

First of all, each of the folders that you want to create on the data disk.  Then move all files in My Documents, my music, etc. places desired [Windows can do it himself, but you'll be more reliable].

Right click on each file in turn [My Documents, my music, etc.], select Properties , then select the location tab.  Put in the path to the folder that you did on the data reader.  All calls to My Documents, my music, etc. will now be sent by the system to the folder you defined.  Note that if you have not moved all the files yourself already, Windows will offer to move them for you but I found it did not work correctly every time.

You should also check in WMP then addressing the rip folder and library, followed by folder to those you want like WMP does not change more than well.

For MS Office applications, go to the Options button, then the section record and put in the path to the new folder my documents if you wish.

  • Can we change the default image in JPG format in windows 7

    Hi all

Our problem is that many users make a screenshot and paste it into an email.

Our standard company is in outlook rich text format, and so if a user paste a screenshot in the mail it will be great because it's a PNG image.

I try to educate our users to save screenshots in jpg format and more attached to the post, but I would like to ask, if it is a solution to change the default png to jpg format?

    Thanks for your replies!

    Respect,

    Akos

    Hi Akos,

There is not really a way taken in charge for you to achieve this goal. However, there may be a 3rd party option that would only achieve this by changing the registry values in Windows.

However keep in mind that using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • How to change the default (Windows 7) painting 'Save as type' JPG (from PNG) format when recording using the * only * the keyboard?

This is the 2nd time this same question, the 1st time that I was given an irrelevant answer which was not helpful at all. Please take the time to read and understand what I need to before you answer.

I just need to learn how to change the default PNG to JPG, so every time I save a screenshot using (only) the keyboard, it will already be showing JPG as the "Save as type". I am sure that it requires an edit registry so just point me in the right direction and guide me on how to do it, that's all I need.

To help you understand my dilemma, I take a lot of screenshots and Ctrl + V paste in Paint almost daily. Since my physical disability in my arms causing me pain and discomfort when I use the mouse, I avoid using the mouse I use the shortcuts as much as possible to help reduce the constant pain, I'm still in my right arm when using the mouse. I hope I have explained well enough details.

If it's in the wrong place, please move to a better place.

    Thank you

    Lee

I don't know of any registry value, but you can use the key sequence to "Save as jpg.

    ALT

    F

    V

    J

The F key may be pressed simultaneously with the ALT key or after him.

You can reduce the number of keys to just ALT plus a digital key by using the following, adapted from one method described HERE.   Setup is much easier with a mouse, but can be done using the keyboard only.  I showed you the controls and mouse shortcuts keyboard to add an icon "" Save as JPG"to the Quick Access toolbar.

    Open Paint

    Mouse Keyboard equivalent
Click on the file Menu (upper-left) Press ALT + F to open the file Menu
Hover mouse on ' Save as ' to open the list of file types Press V to view the list of file types
Right click on JPG to open the context menu Use the TAB or down arrow key to select JPG and then press SHIFT + F10 to open the context menu
Click "add to quick access toolbar. Press A to "add to the Quick Access toolbar.

At this point, your installation is complete.

With open Paint, press the ALT key .  This will display the keys associated with various actions.  In my case, "" Save as JPG"icon that has been added to the Quick Access toolbar was the fifth icon (after save, undo, redo and print).  So, to "Save as JPG," I would press ALT+5 (even once, you can press 5 either with or after you press the ALT key).

Could a right click on the PDF file > open with > choose program by default and select CD player as default PDF Viewer.

You can do it from the control panel as well.

  • Change the default value for new messages of the 'paragraph' in "text" format the answer currently online because it does not work

The answer currently online for this problem said to follow the sequence "tools-options-composition" and then change the default value, but this sequence "tools-options-composition" does not exist in Thunderbird (at least in the version I have, 45.4.0). Under 'tools', there is no option 'options... '

It can depend on what menu you look and which operating system you are using.

Tools | Options | Composition refers to the menu bar on top old.

You can use alt or F10 to make the menu appear temporarily. Go to the view of . Toolbars and check the boxes if you want it constantly on the show.

If you use the button 'Menu of the Application' new fashion (with three horizontal lines - see the attached picture) then it's probably Options | Options | Composition -I say 'probably' because I'm on Linux where 'Options' are replaced, I think that, by "Preferences". Another complication with this infernal Application Menu is that different things happen depending on whether you click or hover. Place the cursor on the Options of the first and the second appears after some time.

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Menu_differences_in_Windows, _Linux, _and_Mac of the differences in Windows, Mac and Linux menus.

  • change the default location of the application

I installed an SSD and put my system on it. I don't want not used for applications or documents. How can I change the default values of systems use applications and the doc in my HARD disk drive?

If you move the Applications folder on the SSD, then this means that your applications load more slowly. Leave it where it is.

How to use an SSD with your HARD drive

If you want to use an SSD as boot with your existing HARD disk drive, as the disk 'data', here is what you can do.

After installing the SSD, you need to partition and format the SSD using disc utility disc. Then install OS X on the SSD. Once installed OSX boot from SSD. Startup disk preferences to set up the SSD as the boot volume.

Open the preferences users and groups. Click the lock and authenticate you. Or CTRL - RIGHT click on your username account list in the sidebar and select Advanced Options in the context menu. You will see a field called "Home dir: ' on the far right, you will see an Edit button. Click on it. In the file dialog box, navigate to the location in house now located on the HARD disk (disk HARD/users/user_name /.) Select the folder, click the Open button. Restart the computer, as shown. When the computer starts, it will now use the home located on the HARD drive folder.

Another more technical method involving the Terminal and the alias is discussed in depth here: using OS X with a SSD and HDD - Matt Gemmell configuration. It's my preferred approach because I can choose which records of the House, I want to on the HARD drive and I don't want to. For example, I like to keep Documents and library files on the SSD because I frequently access their content.

Make sure that you keep the bootable system entirely on your HARD drive where you need it.

  • How to change the default save to C: disk / d: /.

I saw the article about how to change the default value.  I only did this and is installed by default on the D drive, but the computer still records in two drives and does not record on 'my documents', but saves just 'documents '.  When I click on the file I save it says it is registered in two places.  When I click on the two places, it shows that the default is now D: which is what I want.  I don't want for the file to be saved in two places.  Is there a way to save only on D: and eliminate the duplicate record on C: not safe if possible... help will be appreciated.  Thank you.

    Westley

When you say c: documents and D:Documents, can provide you the full path you are viewing?

The real essentials you need to know is that libraries are not records.  They are really just a quick search of several places.  Try this: right click on the document library and select Properties.  This will tell you where the library is looking.  Whenever you open the document library, it performs an instant analysis of these places and tells you what he found.  Is not additional copies files, it's just search results. If you delete something, you remove the one and only original, everywhere where it is.

You might ask "well, what's the point of a library?  I'm glad you (perhaps) asked.  The reason is you have a lot of places.  Take me for example.  I have some movies on my hard drive.  I have more moves on an extra drive (they will all take place on the main drive).  In addition, my roommate has a few movies on his drive.  With a library, I have a library of videos that research on all drives and gives me a single view combined all our movies instantly.  Now I can see all my films in my library at the same time, no matter which disc they are on.
