  I am currently editing the user supplied with Teststand 2013 Simple interface in order to access the global variables of the station through LabVIEW.  A simple test, I'm trying to access the value of username.  When I run the VI for the first time after the opening of LabVIEW, I get no error message and the program works as required.  Stop the running VI will return no error, but when I try to run the VI and rerun the Teststand, stalls the execution sequence and I get a wait status.  I then have to close running VI by killing all threads in Teststand, I think that the PropertyObjects do not come out properly and I find the structure of the event quite confusing to deal with.

  My attempt to close the references in the while loop looks like this:

  

  The rest of the program is exactly as expected with Teststand 2013.

  Any input on how to close properly references ActiveX and extracting station globals in LabVIEW would be much apreciated.

  Christian,

  Doug is correct if you open references in a loop, you should also be closing them in the loop. For example, this code open a reference to the engine and the Globals PropertyObject. Two of these references must be closed each time that the loop is executed with the current code.

  You might be able to improve this code is to put your username querying code elsewhere. This username appears as something that would happen only when a user connects or disconnects, then perhaps that this code could be registered as a reminder of the event UserChangedevent. Follow these steps in the VI of reminders set up event of the user interface.

  If you do not need this code to update constantly, you can put in the structure of the event time-out event in your screenshot and fix a reasonable (maybe 100 to 200 ms).

  I used TestStand UI SequenceView control property to change the view of the execution in the LabVIEW simple operator interface. I can see the change when I start at the beginning of the IO, but then it goes back to the original format as it is running. I can't find where it is changed in the code. Does anyone know?

  Hi all

  OK, I built a very simple FlashDrive using the componet video and I used in the flv file cue points, then I used simple buttons and findcuepoints code snipets for make my buttons go to a certain part of the movie.

  Everything works very well.

  Now what I do is when a certain amount of point play button stay an overstate and once made part of the video or another button is clicked on the first North of the State and the new part back button or the new button have the overstate.

  I think it will be an easy task, I'm not sure how to in this regard.

  Any help greatly appricaited.

  The Adobe user interface is REALLY slow batch when a very large number of files of treatment.  However, the Adobe OCR tools are extremely good to process the documents I have.  Is there anyway to use technologies Adobe do this batch that does not require the Acrobat user interface for each file?

  Acrobat is an interactive tool, with very low volume automation tools. Your expectations are thousands of times too high. You are looking for a tool designed for industrial use of volume. These tools are often not user interface, maybe just a command line.

  OK, so it took me a long time to find how to move the location of the cache and the reason is that it is done by an entry that does not exist originally, so a user need to know the channel config even magically set it.

  There never was a user interface for these parameters - Mozilla is "stingy" about adding prefs that will be only once required by the installation of the user interface. Also, I assume that the developers are convinced that a power user who thinks that even on the displacement of the cache will be searching for instructions on how to do it. (BTW, when you move the cache profile is moved to the folder path profile, its origin "local settings" folder - thus it is automatically moved out of APP DATA.) You can still use this pref to put the cache exactly where you want. I use a small partition for the TEMPORARY files and the cache of Firefox, so they don't one of my biggest readers logics frag.)

  Regarding the difficulties with a profile in motion, developers have threatened to remove Firefox profiles altogether for the last 3 years or 4 and WONTFIX had no Bug filed all improve or add new features to the Profile Manager. This will probably happen this year some time.

  Certainly, you get points for a long question! Although to be fair, it's probably my fault to feed you so much information to digest at once.

  1. I would say you can do two ways visually. Use the operations > detail view for 'normal ranges' use the upper limit of the normal range as your typical max. You want an absolute peak, add the metric of a graph or observe that highlight high and low watermarks.

  2. There are a lot of ways to display data, but if you want to display a single metric over a period of time, we could use the following widgets [on top of my head]:

  Top - N analysis

  Weather map

  Analysis of distribution of data

  Among these, I think of your desire for a "peak". Who you want real value, which eliminates the weather map. Then, I think that the concept of a 'Summit' and what is the best thing, I think that the 95th percentile... then I came with the widget of data distribution. The decision is ultimately yours given your particular use case.

  3. you can have it apply to several virtual machines - it's just a widget capable of being an independent provider or receiving widget (metrics, DO NOT choose to select resources). Each resource/metric will add to the widget and you can remove them if you like after it is added. You can certainly all the time you visit... It is date and time standard options you have in all the other widgets chart. With the widget data distribution, you want as much time as possible to get an accurate histogram of the cycles of workload.

  4. This is similar to the question above. You can certainly add parameters of individual resource or a DM that summarizes or AVG groups of resources. And as above, the delay is configurable, along with the other graph widgets.

  You are right, if you added those 3 VMs, then calc was the 95th of the AVG. Like Q7, you would not export the data of the distribution of data because the raw data points are not - you do not pass the metric to a metric graphics standard and export via csv.

  These two make no sense at all - either treat CLICK or UNCLICK because otherwise you will push the screen twice.

  That being said - the best way is to ignore the fact touchEvent() exists and replace just the click of navigation and/or uncheck.  They will work correctly for navigation in trackpad and touchscreen / click.

  One of the problems with the touchscreen is that if you click on a non-focus field or in empty space currently target field will get the event.  You can override the entire event (return super.touchEvent () in any case) DOWN carefully to detect this situation.

• Using ActiveX controls to the old user interface

  I tried to build a User Interface for TestStand 4.1.1 using LabView 8.6.1 (on Windows XP)

  However, ActiveX controls keep showing in the old non - 3d "block" style.

  

  This seems to be a problem when you build a new exe. If you use the included UI (Full Featured) in TestStand it appears correctly.

  

  I was able to replacte this problem on two other development systems (a new windows XP, LabVIEW 8.6.1 & TestStand 4.1.1 install).

  (1) take a copy of the full-functional UI of LabVIEW.

  (2) open the project file

  (3) rebuild the exe file

  It's only a problem when you use the exe file. When you run from the LabVIEW development system it looks good.

  directory as your executable file. TestStand comes with a manifest file for
  INTERFACE c# you can also use for the UI of LabVIEW. Just go to the \User Interfaces\Simple\CSharp and copy the file TestExec.exe.manifest in the directory of the LabVIEW User Interface executables.

  Note that the manifest file must have the same name as your executable file LabVIEW UI. For example, if you name your user interface, "MyCustomTSUI.exe", you will need to name the manifest file 'MyCustomTSUI.exe.manifest '.

  I am a user relatively to the Flex user interface design! A couple of days, I thought to give my PS plugins a look of the Flex user interface! I searched the internet on some tutorials or guides, but there is very little information relating to this. The guide Builder Extension CS says that we can interact with the Flex user interface & a native application by using the branchezBranchez C++ library. There is an example of code in Illustrator SDK for the same under the name FreeGrid (C++) & FreeGridUI(Flex UI). But I couldn't find an equivalent in PS.

  On further research in this regard, I found that we can use the PlugPlug.h (& .cpp) with a few changes in our C++ PS of the plugin code. I'm stuck at this stage now. How can I do to get out of here?

  This is a silly question, but I'm not too tech savvy.  I don't know I have changed something somewhere.  I have the new Apple TV, and he had the new user interface, which means that the appearance of the applications using the applications, example, scroll down to Netflix, Netflix, etc. to research.  This weekend he returned to the UI I've seen on my old Apple TV. Does anyone know why this could have happened and how I me the new interface to return?  I did a reset to the original values Apple TV and it did not work.  The tvOS is 9.1 (13U85).

  Note: I developed for earlier versions of VeriStand, a high-level application that manages projects of test benches and their versions. I want to update with the new manager of the user VeriStand interface.

  It is not a .NET API to control UI Manager, but there are some command line utilities, you can use to launch the user interface Manager, open a specific project, specify the IP address of the gateway to use and connect automatically.
