  I had a very strange experience with my iPhone... Last week, I woke up and found my iPhone looking like this... It is weird changing everywhere colorful patterns.   I'm guessing that you were not able to retrieve the device from there. Usually the appearance of strange colors and patterns on the screen is indicative of a failing LCD screen. If a factory restore does not recover the device, then it is not software. I suggest that you take a go-Genius Bar to the nearest Apple store or service provider authorized Apple to have the material examined.

• Change the repetition of calendar events

  I've implemented a repetitive event in a CalDAV calendar on my Mac running the latest version of Mac OS X. The event is 'Every day' to a certain date of starting on a certain date to end.

  Now, I want to make sure it's a repetitive event but only Monday through Thursday. I can't invoke the "Edit series" option in the calendar El Capitan application so that I can change the repeated pattern.

  Am I missing something?

  Double-click the next occurrence of the event, and then click the central part containing the date and time. Change the information you want as the game. At some point, we should ask you if you change this event only or all future events.

  Is it possible to change a Sine pattern.vi or the wave.VI sinuses so that compensation of the voltage can be applied to them?

  If this isn't the case, any ideas on how to generate a VI that generates a table with a sinusoidal pattern that can then be written to a channel?

  You can use a function 'Add' on the output of the table. Connect the output array for an entry and a constant with your offset value to the other entry.

  What version of XP are you using? If you use professional or higher, you can use gpedit.msc to deactivate access to view, however you will lose access to it in all accounts except if you select a second time to make changes.

  Your administor account using:

  -Click on Start
     -Click on Run
  -Type gpedit.msc
     - -Click OK

  Group Policy Editor opens

  In the left pane, click User Configuration .
  From the right pane double-click Administrative Templates, double-click Control Panel

  - , Double-click Hide specified control panel applets
     -Select the radio Enable button
  -In the window below and click Show , and the POPs Show content
  -Click Add on the right and Add a window
  - Display type, and then click OK
     -Click OK again
  -Close the Group Policy Editor

  Display is now disabled. However, remember to turn off your policy when you change your display properties, and then turn on again in the Group Policy Editor.

• LabVIEW 2012 error 7 creating executable

  I try to create an executable file to run on a machine without LabVIEW installed on it.  I'm working through the steps of creating the project and to define the source of VI and build specifications.  When I say to build it makes almost all the way through the process but then 7 error when trying to save the source VI.

  I made an executable from this file before without any problem but after changing the code that I have to make a new.  Is it possible that a change in the pattern-block prevents me from being able to create the executable?

• Ambient light sensor makes me crazy - x 230

  Hey. I have a x 230 with the 4000 series Intel gpu and I still get random brightness changes according to what is on the screen at the time and in what proportion of the screen it occupies. It's actually makes me crazy.

  The service of the ALS is disabled, all power plans are set to max performance and I turned off any sort of brightness/contrast setting in the Lenovo Power Manager and Intel settings. Everything is updated and the problem also manifests itself in the virtual machines running various flavors of Linux. I don't know if the solution of the problem in Windows 7 will fix the problem as it is the host, or I'll have to find a way to stop it on the clients as well.

  Anyway, please someone tell me how to kill. Makes me want to throw my laptop out the window when it's not just what I ask of it. This stupid ALS is set in so many different places and I clearly Miss whoever monte too the rest. Just messy. Help!

  Now, go back to settings of the power plan. When you change power plans/patterns. Now, there is a visible extra setting to turn off the Adaptive retro-lighting/brightness.

  Make sure this setting is disabled.

  Normally you can't touch this. But it is a way to unlock the setting.

  Suddenly in the last week, my printer is no longer can print a booklet, print both sides, or print a fold greeting card half. The software I use, MO2007, has not changed. The patterns that I use have not changed. All of a sudden, my printer does not remember his old tricks.

  If your print job is oriented in Portrait mode, try setting the option to print on both sides as return long edges, of landscape, orientation on the short edge duplex, which should provide you with both the face with his head in the same direction...

• Hash Join pouring tempspace

  I am using 11.2.0.4.0 - oracle Version. I have underwear paremters on GV$ parameter
  pga_aggregate_target - 8GB
  hash_area_size - 128 KB
  Sort_area_size - 64 KB
  
  Now under query plan is running for ~ 1 HR and resulting in question tempspace. Unable to extend segment temp of 128 in tablespace TEMP.
  We have currently allocated ~ 200GB at the tempspace. This query runs good for the daily race with Nested loop and the required index, but to run monthly that it changes the plan due to the volume I think and I went for the join of HASH, who believe is good decision by the optimizer.

  AFAIK, the hash join reverse to temp will slow query response time, so I need expert advice, if we increase the pga_aggregate_target so that HASH_AREA_SIZE will be raised to adequate to accommadate the driving table in this? howmuch size and should put us, it should be the same as the size of the array of conduct? or are there other work around the same? Note - the size of the driving table B is "~ 400GB.

  Find plans by trial and error is not an efficient use of the time - and if it was a good idea to avoid joins and hash, then Oracle have set up their in the first place. I can understand your DBA with a yen to avoid, however, because any spill of a hash for disc often join a (relative) effect much more important than you might expect.  In this case, however, you have a loop nested in A_GT which operates 39M times to access a table of 82 lines index - clearly (a) CPU work to achieve would be reduced if you included table columns in the index definition, but more significantly the cost of CPU of the A_GT/C_GT join would drop if you have built a hash in memory of A_GT table that is not a hash join.

  What you ask for is a description of how to optimize a warehouse of data on Exadata machine - a forum is not the right place for this discussion; all I can say is that you and your databases need to do some testing to find out the best way to match queries to the Exadata has, so keep an eye on queries that produces the application in case of change of usage patterns.  There are a few trivial generalities that anyone could offer:

  (a) partitioning a day is good, so you can ensure that your queries are able to do partitioning to remove only the days where they want; even better is if there is a limited set of partitions that you can

  (b) e/s for joins of large hash spilling to disk can be catastrophic compared to the underlying i/o for tablescans for the first access to the data, which means that simple queries can give the impression that Exadata is incredibly fast (especially when the index the flash cache and storage are effective), but slightly more complex queries are surprisingly slow in comparison.

  (c) once you have passed the flash server cell cache, single block reads are very large and slow - queries that do a lot of single e/s (viz: big reports using nested against randomly scattered data loops joins) can cause very slow IO.

  You must know the data types, know the general structure of your queries, be ready to generate of materialized views for derived complex data and understand the strengths and weaknesses of the Exadata.

• Web Gallery with filename under the thumbnail-suggestions?

  I am trying to create web galleries for visually a download catalogue ftp folder and have encountered a problem with Lightroom/bridge (latest versions CC, Win 7)

  I need a gallery HTML (without Flash) with a presentation of the simple grid (preferably white), a header image, thumbnails, and the name of the file MUST be registered as well as the thumbnail. I don't even need the image details, JUST the thumbnail galleries pages would be nice. These pages of the gallery will be updated frequently - I'll probably have a handful of modified pages every week. The ftp folder has about 5000 images so I'm looking at 100-200 miniature pages right now and we'll be adding more pictures each week.

  Bridge will insert the name of the file as the caption for the thumbnail (using the Gallery HTML parameter) but is not as flexible as Lightroom with layout and options, and I can't specify a header image. Lightroom looks like it's everything I need EXCEPT to add a legend to the thumbnails page. I've added several third-party models, but I can't find an option anywhere for a caption from the file name. I'd also skip the detail pages and just thumbnails galleries, completely unrelated (I have need one < a > tag.)

  I thought of editing CSS and HTML files batch but I use Notepad ++ as my text editor that does not support multi-line/multi-file replace very well, and there are too many files to change individually. I don't really have the time to write a script to automate the changes I want. I am also a Mac user and not as familiar with choice of Windows software.

  So - questions:

  Is it possible to use Lightroom CC 2015 to add a legend of filename to the thumbnail gallery pages?

  Web templates bridge CC may have changed or customized patterns?

  Generation of pages details convertible if I get JUST thumbnail gallery pages completely unrelated?

  Anyone have any suggestions to make this work?

  Well well good news I had installed Lightroom TTG and with some DIY web templates, I was able to modify the CSS and HTML to do what I need. Fortunately I know design web enough... I can generate galleries finishes and only need a simple search/replace to fix a dynamic value.

  If I understand correctly, the recommended setting for UsePVAForFlowAccounts is there.
  
  In this context, I have three following queries:
  
  1. I would like to understand in what circumstances, we would have UsePVAForFlowAccounts that non - IE translation for a YEAR to the flow accounts.
  
  2. in an application, (we have about 3 years of data), we have put in UsePVAForFlowAccounts as N. I'm to assess a change to this setting for the recommended setting UsePVAForFlowAccounts there. It's to solve the problem of the foreign exchange differences arising from a period for which no transaction happened, but a difference is coming because the exchange rate has changed between this period and the prior period. What are the issues, or changes in load patterns, I need to know before you go on changing the Metadata setting. Currently the data of NLP is loaded in YEAR to date.
  
  3. are there alternative options - i.e. handle it only through rules and makes no changes to metadata. For example, change my formulas in Sub translation from Hs.Trans to Hs.TransPeriodic, to the flow of specific accounts.

  (1) the requirement of the business that you should focus on is to study on what is being done. Business users make the periodic P & L figures and multiply by rate of AVG from this period or they do it on the basis of the CDA? Also ask user what do mean by rate of AVG? If avg rate USD/INR may 2012 is say XX. XX, then you should ask if the average rate is the monthly average (from May 1st to May 31) or the average annual rate (from January 1 to May 31). normally, finance dept, using average monthly exchange rates will use periodic translations and those who use growth rate annual method for a YEAR. as you can imagine, periodic translation on the monthly exchange rates will be translation a little more correct (if you speak great figures and scenario of the unstable exchange rate fluctuation).

  (2) If you use periodic translations of your data load will be all the months of the year. any month where the data is not loaded, or any month where the exchange rate is not loaded will impact every month. YEAR-this problem is not there (also depends on the default rate scenario, must be the CDA). This situation (when all the report for a month no subs/JV) is perhaps not applicable for adult guests.

  (3) change of metadata will affect all of the months and the years. If you have translated historical data and you do not want to change, it's esier to manage through rules (put an If condition based on the period > your cut-off time) use TRANS and TRANSPERIODIC if necessary.

• Model question

  I ran into a situation.  I would include various parts of a page on the pages of different "child."  Is it possible to create a template, then insert this model into the desired pages.

  Example: have a model that is just the header and insert that into the pages needed.  Another model for the testimony and insert in the pages, I want it to appear, etc.  ??

  For the moment I've been passing by and edit each region one by one, but it would be much easier to find a way to use templates for this...

  Consider using excerpts, or library, or preferably inclusions elements side server for this function.  For example, when I create a site, the navigation of the elements always go into the side Server includes.  In this way, I make a single change in the include file, upload that include files, and all pages automatically inherit this change.

  Patterns are whole pages, not parts of pages, although a single model can contain a host of these replaceable items mentioned above.  And not to be prey to the idea of using nested templates or several models of a single site.  Two of these approaches are going to unnecessarily complicate your life.
