Change workspace FQDN 2.1

I have a problem changing the FULL domain name. I have a device called workspace "workspace - va01.domain.local" and I have a reverse proxy pointing to the local server with the FULL domain name "workspace.domain.com". After the deployment of the portal workspace, I want to change domain FULL of Horizon work space to the external address. Unfortunately, I get the following error:

Error during the update of the url of the Manager of connector.

Update of IDP url on connector...

Error the update of IDP url on the connector.

Update the url of workspace in the runtime configuration and restart the service.

The FULL domain name is successfully changed, but Manager url and the url of IDP are not. When users want to connect, they are redirected to the server address "workspace - va01.domain.local", which is not accessible outside of course. What am I doing wrong?

I thought about it. The problem is that I replaced first the certificate and then changed the FULL domain name. In the log file, I saw some errors that the name of the device of the workspace was not in the certificate. I changed the self-signed certificate, then changed the FULL workspace.domain.com and then replaced the certificate domain name. Everything works fine now!

  • Problems, change workspaces

    Dear friends,

    I have a few cases of APEX configured to use authentication for the connections of developer (APEX Builder) HTTP header Variable. This is a great feature that allows our developers to have a single SSO account with access to several workspaces, as well as a convenient way to switch between them.

    apex_change_workspace.png

    However, after you have patched to 5.0.1 support to change workspaces seems to be broken. By clicking on the 'change' workspace simply refers me to the launch page of the current workspace (app id: 4500, page id: 1000). To Access workspace selection page (app id: 4550, page id: 20), now, I have to force a new session ID to be generated by the removal of the ID of the current session. Oddly enough, 'Space of change-work' works perfectly when the current workspace is "internal".

    This feature allows to work pleasantly with 5.0.0 and is consistent in all instances, so I wonder if it's just me or is there someone else has experienced similar problems.

    Thank you!

    Best regards

    Adrian

    This has been confirmed to be a bug and was quickly resolved by the orclapex dev team! Thank you!

    If you have upgraded to 5.0.1 and use varying methods of HTTP header or SSO authentication for access to the generator, then this is likely to affect you. A fix is available as a patch set exception and can be downloaded from MOS. Search patch #21501621.

  • Change workspace

    Hello

    I put in the workspace to display content with 8 pictures across. What I saved as workspace2. However, whenever I launch Bridge, this resets itself to see 3 photos throughout. I deleted this workspace and recreated several times, without success. I realize that it is a minor quirk, but it is annoying me greatly.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    You probably have the game of Bridge to 'automatically load at startup.  In this case it's not remember the last configuration unless you close the bridge before you stop to computer.

    A number of users feel that the auto load option causes more problems than it's worth.  Disable it.  I believe in CS3 Photoshop and CS4 is in Bridge preferences.

  • PS Eleaments 9 changing workspace.

    I love Photoshop eleaments 9 (PSe9). But the right sidebar takes up way too much room. Is there a way to reduce or hide the Edit action, Create, this sidebar?

    I know that you can open and close a large number of different windows under it. I don't need the windows open most of the time.

    But even if I close my layer, cancel ~ history, color, etc. I now have a huge black bar on my left I can't climb.

    I rarely use edit, create, share.
    So how narrow it down, close or hide?

    1. Double-click the thin, black line that separates the Panel on the right of the edit box.  That will reduce it to a State of "semi-iconized.
    2. Take the line of separation of the Group of experts in a domain that contains a palette and drag the edge to the right to reduce the Board as much as you want.

  • Change FQDN VPN

    Hello

    Scenario is Cisco ASA SSL (anyconnect) client vpn. About 200 + user uses the VPN at rush hour.

    VPN address is attached to the certificate. Let's say that abc - vpn.domain.com.

    Question: we would like to change the name to vpn.domain.com. Is there an easier way to unroll the name change? so that the 200 users use the right name. Wondering if we can do this by using profile?

    You can change the FQDN name in customer profiles that are pushed to clients. But make sure that the new FULL domain name is also included a San in the certificate.

    Hello

    You must Access the application Express Administration Services (the URL that ends with .../apex_admin) to change workspaces APEX to the assginments schema. Once you log in for the administration services, go in Manage Workspaces-> manage workspaces to assignments of schema (in the Actions of the workspace section). You can get more information here.

  • Tool windows

    Is there a way to get the small windows which open different tools etc and pop ups that you save a file, to display on a screen, even if you use multiple screens?

    Denise

    Generally, Panel positions are stored in the sessions, even if you close them. However, you can preserve it by creating a custom workspace. This way if you always change workspaces, reset preferences, etc., you will always be able to return to the configuration of your favorite band.

    There is no parameter to indicate the program to open the panels on a specific screen. So you will have to do the job opening and their positioning first and then save the workspace.

  • Should what color settings I use in Photoshop?

    Capture.PNG

    These parameters ^ are good? Can I use Adobe 1998 or Profile (↓) default monitor

    Capture2.PNG

    Also should what color settings I set in the color management window. Right now the default profile is set to Adobe RGB 1998 (↓).

    Capture3.PNG

    Now, workspace is set to Adobe RGB 1998. I usually joined Adobe 1998 in most of the Images. I know the difference between famous color profiles (Adobe 1998, sRGB, Prophoto..)

    When I use view-Proof Setup - Monitor RGB colors seem more vivid (and natural).

    Also the images when opened in Adobe Ps seems different when displayed in the default photo viewer windows (and wallpaper)... But Adobe RGB 1998 default in Windows Color Management. Thus, the Ps and photo viewer (or wallpaper) image should look even. But it's not. Why?

    Adobe Photoshop is a software managed on the basis of the color... This means that the settings in Windows Color Management has no effect on the display how Photoshop colors?

    I've read dozens of Web pages about all this. Some of them told to change workspace - RGB to Adobe RGB 1998.

    Also every monitor is different then how the uniformity of color is maintained around the world? Not all hardware users calibrate their display.

    I know there are a lot of questions above. I'm confused. Searching for this for months.

    Thank you for giving your time to answer these questions.

    Workspace must be a standard space - sRGB, Adobe RGB, ProPhoto. In fact, it is not all that matters, because the embedded document profile always overwrites. In other words, as long as you have defined strategies to "Preserve embedded profiles", which is the only sensitive parameter. You have it, so that's fine.

    Do not use the monitor here profile! The color settings dialog box is to manage document profiles. The monitor profile is a different animal in all, serve a different purpose.

    The monitor profile is implemented at the level of the system - the calibrator will do that for you BTW - and will be used by color management applications without any intervention from the user. The profile appears in the color management > devices dialog. This is your last screenshot. The monitor profile must be marked 'default'.

    You need both of these profiles, monitor and document, for a managed path color display. The source profile is converted on the fly, by application, on the monitor profile. These converted values are sent to the screen. In this way the display is exactly corrected for, much more precise than what can be achieved simply by adjusting the monitor.

    It seems that you are using a canned profile, supplied with the monitor. Just mark it by default and that's all. Note that you you get a much better result with the help of a Stallion! Manufacturer profiles, despite assertions to the contrary, are generic and not designed specifically for your device. They are also surprisingly often defective/broken. Come if you encounter specific problems.

    Is this by Design?

    Concerning

    Carsten

    You have only a single connector in your system? If this is the connector by default, its IDP URL is set to the FQDN of Workspace Horizon. Therefore, if you switch from Horizon Workspace FQDN, Kerberos authentication will not work.

    You can try the following?

    In the connector user interface admin, click the identity on the left navigation provider, replace the URL with connector FULL domain name.

    If you want to support both forms of auth - kerberos for internal users, name of user and password for users outside, etc, then you will need to install an additional connector. Please see the installation guide for more information on adding a new connector.

    I am at a loss.  I've set up a root certification authority to sign all servers in my workspace of Horizon, SAML is in the Green and after a lot of reading when troubleshooting also synchronized on all my ESXi hosts and guests.

    Basically, what I did is the following:

    Set up the connection to the Server VMware View Horizon 5.2 - created different pools and can connect via the customer different platform. (a few times to eliminate any possible configuration errors along the way)

    Configuration of VMware View Horizon Workspace 1.0 (a few times now) with self-signed and CA signed certs.  My workspace appears fine, the synchronization of files, apps work, and view pools appear.  When I try to launch your desktop from inside the Horizon workspace I get this error:

    Now I think that I followed it down to something to do with SAML connection - which, to my understanding, archery chips between workspace and view.  On the login server, I see it in the Windows event log:

    BROKER_USER_AUTHFAILED_SAML_ACCESS_REQUIRED

    SAML access required but not tempted by customer

    Attributes:

    Source = com. VMware.VDI.Broker.filters.SamlAuthFilter

    Time = MON may 20 16:06:41 MDT 2013

    Gravity = AUDIT_FAIL

    Node = ViewConnection.access360.ca

    Module = broker

    Recognized = true

    Something is not crossing to allow me to access my office view since the workspace of Horizon.  If I remove the requirement of SAML on the login server see, when I try to connect to a desktop computer from the view connection server I get a promotion for and can I get my IDs & field and have full access with reviews, as well as blast HTML - just cannot get there with Horizon Workspace.  There must be something that I am missing with SAML...

    As I said, I'm at a loss here on what does not work between the Horizon workspace and the connection of SAML for display to connect to the server.  There is no server security, server transfer, and firewalls is all off, so I don't think it's a network problem.  Simple as possible.  The Windows Journal event displays the login displays server error is: access required but not attempted by client SAML.  I have all my servers synchronized after a few seconds - so I don't think that documented the TIME Horizon workspace synchronization time sensitivity is responsible here.  I am Pack overnight, but will do exactly the same thing with a client of tomorrow - hopefully without the same result!

    Any ideas?

    So I re-deployed the VAPP (again!) very attentive as I went.  As usual, the initial database installation failed because I entered my domain FULL of the gateway name, so it does not match.  After useful messages already there for this (Workspace install fails with error creating the user admin) I used the wizardssl.hzn of connfigurator - going to recreate a rootca to the environment based on my FULL domain instead of the bridge - going and then let it grow all for the other vApps.  I then connected to each and pulled down my private rootca and ran c_rehash, etc. (another useful message!- adding MS signed Certs to Horizon Workspace & laquo;) Carlos & #039; Corner) I actually use my background to UNIX and openssl to be my own private CA and sign all of my certificates.  I created the SAN cert and added to the SSL configuration on the Configurator - going and connector - going.  Oddly enough, both of these server do not appear to be accepting SAN cert that includes their ENTIRE domain, but that's for another day... My Horizon Workspace FQDN does show as being approved by installed RootCA private (which does not have other DNS names for the service - going, the Configurator - goes, the data - will and the connector - will, but as I have already said--a battle for another day) so it's a good thing.  I joined my workspace to my domain name - well!  Activated would be pools seen in the Configurator - goes - sync - good.  CRT for the my display login server has accepted and implemented the SAML trust.  Still good.  Sync in my opinion users group who already had a couple of linked clone pools allowed to do.  Good.  Connected to the FQDN of my workspace and clicked on computers - seen my 3 pools.  Clicked on one and after a few seconds, launched in a new window of the explosion.  Success!  I disconnected and connected on a different machine, and something that I saw before, but doesn't have a lot of attention to was the connector - will put 'use windows authentication', I couldn't understand why every time I sailed on my Horizon workspace a no vmware window opens asking access my FQDN:443 with a user and pass.  It is this setting - duh.  I'm not sure yet that gives me, so it's off for now.

    Thanks for all the input: it's good to know that there are others with some of the same questions.  It's still v1.0, it is related to some of these pitfalls.  It is capricious with derived from same time less than 10 seconds seems to have a negative impact.  Had to ensure my ESXi servers were strong (never worried a lot in the past with MS AD being quite tolerant with small derivatives) I tired my vApps affecting a NTP, but they seemed like being left to the default of synchronization to the ESXi host.  See how than pans.  CERT is somewhat capricious depending on your deployment.  Of course the connector - will and the Configurator - must be signed by a CA that they are internal, but always be nice to then have signed internal...

    Now, I'm on ThinApps for desktops as well as the web interface integration.

    I bumped my head against the wall with my first configuration of Citrix XA and XD (before having VDI in a box!) and it was the best way to learn.

    I don't know that I grave along that I finished my PoC, but I'm very happy with today's results.  I still plan on the comparison of my logs successful with the logs I have pulled my former deployment TIME and see what it was that it was broken.  I think it was that wanted me a PTR record to my domain FULL DNS MS. name  I think I just had the direct search for the original bridge - will and FULL, but only a setback for the gateway domain - name.  Would explain why I was never able to connect to the gateway to access your desktop.  Oops.
