Changed to the Vista Basic theme

PC SWITCHED TO VISTA BASIC, I'M USING VISTA PREMIUM DUE TO THE AERO. I HAVE AN UPDATE THAT IS ONE OPTION FOR NVIDIA GEFORCE. THIS COULD BE THE PROBLEM

Vista is not just change versions like that.  The message say EXACTLY and ENTORELY?

Go to start / computer / system NDRS properties confirm what version of Vista you have on your system.

I wouldn't download updates Windows Update device driver. Go to the web site of the manufacturer and get the drivers updated from there instead.

I hope this helps.  Keep me posted.

Good luck!

  • Windows 7 splash screen will not change after the vista update

After updating vista 32 bit to windows 7 32 bits, the splash screen will not change and he showed the vista boot. I read a lot of forum and the web page, but this solution:

«.. . the dummies and bad start screen for Windows 7 is due to the locale entry in the startup folder, which could not be set when editing or rebuilding the BCD. When the locale is not found, Windows boot loader doesn't know what local startup folder to look for the animated bootscreen. Thus, in order to fix the boot screen so that the splash screen can be re-established, restored or reset to original animated Windows 7 boot screen, just run one of the following commands at the prompt with administrator rights:

    bcdedit/set {current} settings regional en-US

    or

    BCDboot % WinDir % / l en

Change the US to the language version of Windows 7 installed, as ja - JP, en - us, es - ARE, pt - BR, zh - CN, zh - TW, fr - FR, fi - FI and etc.

Restart the computer after running the command to see the new boot UI (user interface) be used again. To check if the locale has been entered properly, just run the bceedit command in the command prompt that is running as an administrator... »

not solved my problem and also know for many users... after updating vista in windows 7 splash screen stay the same...

    Thanks for your help

  • CyberLink webcam will suddenly open only in Vista basic theme on my laptop

CyberLink webcam will suddenly open only in basics of Vista on my laptop which is Vista Home Premium. Display is too big for access keys at the top of the screen. Any ideas? Hanks

    Hello

    ·         Do you get the Aero theme once you close the Cyber link webcam application?

This occurs generally if the graphics card does not have the latest drivers installed or the graphics card is not able to perform the function Aero once initiated another application that uses a high amount of graphics.

I suggest you to download the last set of video card drivers on the website of the manufacturer or check the link below to update drivers in Windows Vista.

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

If it doesn't then you need to maybe buy a new graphics card and install on the system for better graphics performance.

  • Taskbar Windows Vista Home Premium, changed to the classic color scheme after update.

For some reason any my menu of the taskbar and start suddenly changed to the classic system of windows.

I am running Windows Home Premium and have attempted to reverse to the standard vista scheme through customization > window color and appearance, but has only Windows Classic as an option.

I also right click on the bar of tasks and disappeared on properties in this way, it shows the taskbar as the standard version of Vista but the taskbar is still in basic.

I used the diagnosis of DirectX tool tests to see if an error has caused this, but it does not revisit what whatsoever, and my laptop recognizes that it runs Windows Home Premium.

Also tried to restart, but nothing changes...

The only thing that I think may be linked to this is after a recent update of the last time that I closed my laptop, but I don't see what update it was.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I found that if you go to the computer, right click on it, go on manage, then go to Services on the left column, scroll down to find topics, left-click and then in the upper left of this part of the screen there is a link to restart the Service, click , click on it, it will restart the service for the themes. Once she had him restart the service for the themes, right click on your desktop, go into customize and if you change your theme, your Vista Basic theme should be back. I hope this helps someone.

  • Cannot run the system error PrintMaster 2012 PlatinumBasic has been replaced by Windows Vista Aero in Windows Vista Basic.

    Original title: PrintMaster 2012 PlatinumBasic

After you install the above program, I am not able to open it. I get a message saying that the color scheme has been changed from Windows Vista Aero to Windows Vista Basic. However, the program is still not open. Any ideas on what I should do?

    Hello

    1. is the issue limited to the program Print Master 2012 base Platinum?

If you receive a message that some Visual elements, such as transparency, have been turned off or if you receive a message that the color scheme has been changed to Windows Vista Basic, one of the following might have happened:

    ·         A program that you are using is not compatible with the Windows Aero color scheme. When you run a program that is not compatible with the Windows Aero color scheme, some Visual elements are automatically disabled. When the program is not is more running, the Visual elements that have been disabled will then automatically lit.

    ·         Your computer does not have to have enough memory to run all of the programs that you have open and also run the Windows Aero color scheme. Try closing some windows or changing your color scheme to Windows Vista Basic. If Windows automatically changed your game of colors in Windows Vista Basic, and you want to change it back to Windows Aero after closing some windows, follow these steps.

    See the link below:

Why are some Visual elements will automatically turn off?

You can get tons of wallpapers for your desktop wallpaper here: http://wincustomize.com/explore/wallpapers

Stardock windowblinds ($20 unlimited themes + software): http://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/ will apply new themes easily, but a web search should bring up a lot of those who are free and instructions on how to install them.

  • Windows Vista Basic colors - no option to change the colors?

If I open the appearance settings I have the option to select a color scheme, like that I use which is Windows Vista Basic color scheme. However there seems to be no way to change the colors of the regime. I want to change default bluish tints to something different. If I hit the Advanced button, it has a clunky menu to change the color of windows, fonts, and other. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work. I changed the colors, but they do not apply in all cases and I'm still stuck with the blue wire.

What is going on? Is easier to change the colors of the window? It makes no sense to me.

    Thank you

    Tom

Here is an article on how to change the color scheme in Vista: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa394603(v=VS.85).aspx.  NOTE: There are some limitations for Vista Basic so pay attention to them and use the options that they need, and you should be able to do.

If this does not work, market, the system cannot be activated for color schemes... Here is an article on how to enable this feature in all versions of Vista:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/182471-color-scheme-allow-prevent-change.html.

Here is an article on how to change appearance advanced settings in Vista which can also help if the above is:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/78281-advanced-appearance.html.

  • Windows Vista theme problem - can't change the theme of the standard windows theme

original title: theme Windows Vista problem

My vista is stuck on the standard theme of windows after you have cleaned my disk space and I checked my services and I have all the updates (I don't have norton) also on the choice of color scheme when I select Windows Vista Basic or Windows Aero, it shows an empty black window and I don't know what to do. Waiting for a response, Mike82

    Hello

try going to your graphic card manufacturers site or computer and are looking for the driver download section

Search your computer or graphics card model number based on what you have and download and install the latest graphics drivers for vista

    then repeat settings

    If the foregoing does not it, try this;

    Run the sfc/scannow command.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally madeprograms,Accessories, right-clickguest, and then clickrun as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or clickallow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions

How to analyze the entries in the log file generating the program Checker (SFC.exe) resources of Microsoft Windows in Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/928228#appliesTo

If SFC detects the main problems it can't fix you may need to borrow a Microsoft dvd vista not an acer, HP etc. recovery disk and do a repair installation

read the below tutorial on how to perform a repair installation

  • How can I change the color of the Windows 7 Basic theme?

After a year of the default theme for Win7 (which I liked), for a nice change, I passed to the Windows 7 basic theme. It is somewhat a return to the 95/98 default theme, and the taskbar are a clear/grey blue. Is there a way I can darken the color a little the taskbar, but keeping all the rest on this theme (form and UI icons, etc.)?

In the section Customize, Windows had a link to the MS site for additional themes, but none of them had what I wanted.

"Is there a specific option that determines the color of the taskbar?

It's been so long I forgot what I did, but I found it.  You must use the option 3D objects.
However, this also changes the bar tools, scrollbar, tabs and buttons (maybe more)
so may not suit your needs because it will darken all of these features.

This has led me to research for more information which has me thinking that I can finally
    play with AREO-

THIS - link has some interesting comments about the AERO of Shawn B.

I still need to read the following (on my next list) but it can be interesting to play with.
