  • Of Windows Aero theme does not

I know there are a lot of other posts on this subject online, but their solutions have yet to help me.  My windows Aero theme has suddenly stopped working.  I ran the store and he tells me that it is a problem of graphics, but I can still run games like 2 Troubleshooting and Minecraft very well.  I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv6 with an AMD Radeon HD 7600 M Series and AMD Radeon HD 7640 G + double HD 7600 M graphics card.  I also tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the drivers for the cards, but without success.  If there is anything else I can try, please let me know.  Thanks for the help.

Thank you very much for the help.  I will try your solution, but my windows eventually break I guess.  I decided just to format the hard drive and reinstall windows because it wouldn't start even in the first place.  Everything works fine now, but.  Thanks for the help.  If the problem happens again, I know where to go for help!

  • Satellite A300 15 c - how to recover original Vista

    Hello
I have a problem. I installed Windows XP on my toshiba. First of all I changed in AHCI BIOS in compability mode. Then I installed Windows XP on the C partition. I didn't know that this stupid Windows will combine D: (hidden restore partition) with E (my data partition). Now I have two partitions (System) C: and D: (4.5 GB HDDRecovery directory and all my data). I would like to recover original Vista, but when I start my computer - key F8 (key recovery) disappeared. Help, please.

    Hello

I think it was a big warning to you that you should not install anything until you created the recovery disc boyfriend!
The bulk of the recovery disk and it should be made in the first step.

Usually, if the F8 option would not work then you should not be able to restore your laptop to factory settings but I found very interesting thread posted here in the forum, and it might be your last resort.

    Check this box:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=164927&

You can find an interesting solution.
To be honest I n not know if it will work, but you could test and could provide a final summer here in the forum.

    Check it out!

    Hi Neal,

After going through the newspapers of the SFC scan, it says that all the files were repaired successfully.

Reset the default themes and check registry entry then.

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Vista aero works do not, no black previews tab, HELP?

My system has the requirements to run Aero Vista and worked it very well until one day I turned on the computer and it just show the classic Windows color scheme and the following issues were found.

    Things that work well:

    • Show settings display 32-bit and 60 Hz refresh rate.
    • GFX card drivers are up to date.

The following issues have been found:

    • Windows Color and Appearance - no option when choosing appearance and colors, Windows Vista Basic and Aero when chosen not seen anything like that, but black. Windows Classic, Standard and high contrast options exist however and preview correctly.
    • Theme - choose Windows Vista previews correctly but when applied do not show the theme w / Aero but there the wallpaper and the only classic Windows pattern on this subject. Windows Classic watch blue background and the classic pattern of Windows.
    • When trying to install a new theme (not listed above) found on the internet, it doesn't show either no preview and black just directly in the preview area.

Suite of solutions did not work:

    • Restart Manager Windows Desktop Services in services.msc and services theme.
    • Running /sfc scannow CMD w / administrator.

    What can I do?

You can have defined the classic 'theme' and then set the color and appearance of Aero:
    1. click customization on "Themes."
    2. in the title of 'Thème' choose 'Windows Vista', if it is already set to Windows Vista, choose "Windows classic" instead. Click on the button "Apply" and wait.
    3. now, select 'Windows Vista' under 'Theme '. Click on the "Apply" button, wait, then the OK button.

  • Of Windows Aero theme disappeared!

(I know this has been posted many times before but none of the solutions seem to help my problem.)

So I was using my computer tonight and all of a sudden I noticed that my Aero theme had disappeared.
I tried to put it back but when I click on the Aero theme and okay, it loads properly, but once it's finished, it still isn't here. And when I check my settings, it is automatically back to Windows Vista Basic.
This happened to me once before on my old laptop which was a Dell, and I have never fixed. Now, I have the same problem on my Acer. I searched and found a page of troubleshooting Aero here, but nothing helps. I downloaded the thing Microsoft Fix It it me and through that process, but it did not work.
I looked in my settings and I seem to have all the basic requirements for it and I had it before, but now he just disappeared.
If I remember well, when this happened to my old laptop, it gave me an error when I chose the Aero theme. This time it just won't load.

Can I recover? I'll have to redownload it completely?
If so, can someone link me to a safe download?
Or something like a system restore does not work? (Which does not affect my personal files, right?)

Try a system restore to a Date before the problem began:

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.

  • My screensaver disable my Aero theme!

I am running a screen saver on my Windows PC (it is not a screensaver installed in Windows, I downloaded it) and it works great, nice and smooth without glitches. Once I move the mouse to turn off the screen saver, the screen flashes, the Devils computer Aero and then quickly responsive, all in a few seconds. It may not seem like much, but it's very annoying! If I look closely, I also see that my PC has quickly turns off Aero as the screensaver is about to activate, it has also caused less than one second or less. My GPU is obviously able to run the screen saver because its operation there are no parasites or something wrong, it was just at the moment when the screen saver is enabled and disabled aero is is enabled and disabled. I am running Vista 64 bit with RAM 6 GB DDR2, Intel Quad Core CPU and an Nvidia GeForce 9300GS.

If you need more details, please inquire.

Thanks for the help and I hope you can help me solve my problem.

As a 3rd party program, it is unclear how it will interact with Vista.  Maybe it's just a normal behavior seen how it is programmed and how Aero is scheduled.  It may be simply a bad code (or the screen saver can be altered and another download can fix it (but I doubt it).)

Try to use another theme than Aero and see if you have the same problem.  Try using a different screensaver with Aero (onc that comes with Vista) and see if you have the same problem.  If the problem goes away in two cases, then for some reason any screen saver is not fully compatible with Vista or with the Aero theme.  I don "t know how to solve this problem.  You could try contacting the manufacturer of the screensaver and see if they have any ideas or suggestions, it is the program of theiir.  There is nothing we can do with Vista or Aero to solve this problem, because it is not a Microsoft screensaver, so we don't know anything about.

Try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

I don't think it's a hardware problem either (or it would occur with other themes and screesavers) because everything seems to work normally except that one glitch.

Turn off and restartig Aero constantly is not good for the system.  I suggest that you find an another screen saver that does not cause this problem with Aero.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

Original title: product key and vista installation.

Hi I am not the wisest to my problem that I have read and tried many answers to my problem. I have 22 days to activate my windows 7. However, I don't have the key but I have the key for the original installation that has vista. I don't have vista reinstall disk therefore aimed to download Vista from a microsoft official, but the link does not work. I'm at risk of losing my laptop because of this activation problem. So to sum up, I have no key for win 7 and need to return to original vista which i have a key. Now having need for instructions and vista software how to install etc... Thanks if you can help.

    Hello

Your problem is you installed Windows 7, but do not have the product key to activate, if you want to go back to the original OS that came with your machine, namely Vista.

This can help you (download files and make your own DVDs):

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery on the drive Partition hard reinstall Windows how much you bought your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Them or us ask the right sequence of key.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

  • My windows aero theme disappeared on my dell inspiron 1545.

I put my computer in mode 'sleep' last night, and after a few hours I turned back on it. much to my annoyance, available to windows on usual measure was nowhere to seen, and he was replaced by a gray opaque which I don't like so much. I realized to my horror that my beloved theme Aero, which I had used for 2 years, was absent, and instead the computer has been set by default at the base of Vista. I was not uncomfortable with its primitive features, so I decided to find out how to get Aero.

The first thing I did was click on personalize, then window color and appearance. This didn't work at all, as long as the option was not among the choices of Windows Aero. So that's all for the Plan.

I raised the questions of other users who have had the same problem. Among solutions prohibited for them was that graphic drive should be upgraded. I know that my drive has been already updated a few months before this problem, he didn't need.

Then, I heard to reconfigure a certain place in the register, namely HKEY_CURRENT_USER, in order for Aero back, so I thought I would try it out. I walked into the registry "regedit", scrolled down to find this place, and would you believe, I could NOT EVEN FIND the!

Either it is nowhere in the registry or it hides like ninja among the masses in there. (If anyone can tell me how to locate in the registry, I would be happy).

Now I'm not sure what to do. My computer will be like a stranger to me without the Aero theme and I want the good old, friendly computer back I've had for two years. If anyone, no matter WHO, he knows the ultomate solution, I will deal with my best friend of the internet worldwide (not literally, just a figure of goodwill). So please, give me an answer!

    HOLY (insert moderately vulgar expletive)!

MY WINDOWS AERO THEME SUDDENLY APPEARED FROM nowhere SHARE, zigzag3143x

    OK, HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED:

IN WHAT I THOUGHT, IT WAS SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT (AND LESS IMPORTANTLY), I NOTICED THAT THE RESOLUTION OF THE SCREEN WAS TOO WIDE FOR MY TASTE SO I RIGHTCLICKED ON THE DESK AND WENT TO CUSTOMIZE AND THEN CLICK DISPLAY SETTINGS.

I CHANGED THE RESOLUTION, AND NOT ONLY CHANGED THE SIZE, HE BROUGHT BACK THE AERO! IT IS ACTUALLY RETURNED, FEATURES, COLORS AND ALL! I PUT THE COMPUTER TO SLEEP AND IT WAS RESTARTED TWICE, AS I DID WHEN AERO DISAPPEARED. NOTHING HAPPENED, THE NA NO AERO IS IN GO

IM SURPRISED. I MEAN, THE RESOLUTION WAS A WORLD AWAY FROM THE AERO QUESTION, AND NOW THESE TWO ARE NOW LINKED IN SOME WAY.

zigzag3143x, I'M STUNNED AND HAPPY AT the SAME TIME, BUT ALSO WOOLLEY. I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE GRAPHICS DRIVER, ALTHOUGH I WAS DUBIOUS, BUT I NEVER THINK THAT A SIMPLE SCREEN RESOLUTION CHANGE WOULD BRING BACK MY BELOVED WINDOWS AERO.

I'M GOING TO INSTALL A NEW DRIVER BECAUSE I AGREE WITH YOU THAT IT MIGHT BE DAMAGED, BUT CAN YOU EXPLAIN HOW THIS HAPPENED?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP MAN! YOU ARE A BROTHER FOR LIFE
