  • Configure managed from the administration Console - arguments Java Server

    Hi there;

I'm setting up a server managed by the administration console and the only element that me up is when I add the following in the sections of Arguments:

    -Djava.protocol.handler.pkgs = oracle.mds .net .protocol ' |' Oracle.fabric.Common.classloaderurl.handler'| ' Oracle.fabric.Common.uddiurl.handler'| ' Oracle.BPM.IO.FS.Protocol.

Note the command line script used double quotes ("") but the console gave an error - Arguments cannot contain ' "' this seemed reasonable, so I moved the quotes to apostrophes."

Passage to apostrophes allowed me to work around the error.

The managed server fails when I start from the console:

    Error message:

Oracle.fabric.Common.classloaderurl.Handler ' is not recognized as an internal or external command, an executable program or batch file. -It's as if she ignores the values after the apostrophes and the fials.

How can I configure this setting?

Note: I am running weblogic 10.3.6 on widows 2008.  It is a SOA managed server, I try to run from the administration Console installation.

    J

It did not work, I tried all kinds of combinations.  I'm done with the addition of oracle.mds.net.protocol, installation of the service.  Once it is I edditted the registry settings are added the service entrance ana manually the remaining entries.

  • How to cancel the deployment of a MDS SOA from the EM Console or Jdeveloper?

    Hello

Due to significant changes, I want to cancel a previously deployed MDS deployment in our soa-infra and redeploy a new.

could someone please guide me on how to do it from the EM Console or Jdeveloper?

    Thank you

    Tushar

    Hello

I think that what you want is to remove metadata from your MDS repository.

To do this, from the EM console:

-click right on your soa-infra and select configuration MDS under Administration

    -Click on Runtime MBeanBrowser

    -Go to the operations tab

    -Select deleteMetadata

-on the input docs just use * to remove all metadata on your MDS.

    -call the operation

Note that you can specify a path inside your MDS if you do not want to clean up, by example/apps / *.

  • TSC: 2002815 on the ESX Console screen

HELO, I installed vSphere 4 on an IBM Blade HS 21 with 2 Intel Quad Cores.

Everything works fine. The only thing I got is a TSC red line on the ESX host screen.

    The line is:

TSC: cpu0:0 2002815) Init: 461: The Disable/No run run CPU is enabled for this machine.

Someone has this kind of line in the ESX Console screen?

Thank you for your help in advance.

    Hello

Make sure that your BIOS so that the host is configured correctly. This looks like it could be a BIOS problem as INtel-VT is not enabled. IBM will have the right settings for ESX.

  • Purge/remove entries from the em console messages

    Hello

Now, we put the Server SMTP as a model, so all the email is getting failed.

    Question:

    (1) if we return to the real Server SMTP, all failure events will trigger again (I mean goes all pending emails sent again).

    (2) how purge/remove all entries from the em console? Basically, we want to delete all messages.

    Hanks

    Hello

To purge messages, you will use the script to purge for ORASDPM.  This functionality is achieved through the 11676998Patch.  See: Purge schema ORASDPM on SOA 11 g (Doc ID 1287036.1)

  • Question ESXi 5.5 with turn a virtual computer: "an error was received from the ESX host turning on VM" '22 (Invalid argument)"'DiskEarly on a power Module failed.'

Here's what happens when you try to turn it on one of my virtual machines (see also accessories):

    Error stack:

An error was received from the ESX host turning on VM vzilla-ws2012r2e.

Unable to start the virtual machine.

    22 (invalid argument)

This circumstance may be linked to a sata cable issue, with the possibility of temporary loss of connectivity, which could result in data loss/corruption, I realize.  It is a laboratory box.  Especially say that the 2 VMDK he complains (trying to light) is both on the grounds of a single physical disk. Data, read and written to the speaker, since the problem are very good (which indicates the wiring problem was resolved, and the VMFS5 file system seems to be in good health).

No photos.  No related clones.  Just a 2012 Windows Server based VM, with several drive letters in, with those underlying files VMDK residing on different stores of data VMFS5.  Implemented end (these drives aren't really so huge), but far from running out of physical space for the data either. Everything is working great for months, until today, trying to it turns on again.

but alas, none of them seem to relate directly, or exactly.  My vmware.log file is attached below, as well as some screenshots of to show the structure of the unity of this virtual machine.  Hoping that this post proves fruitful, if anyone has had a similar situation.  The data at stake here are (mostly) redundant, but I would rather understand my way of it, in the case where it happens to me again, or can help others.  Many preferred rather than give up, reformat the VMFS and start again.

    Thank you!

Good news, the best result I could hope. No data is lost. No corruption of the VMFS or NTFS don't drive in the virtual machine. Nice!  Saved me a few terabytes of data restoration and learned a little more on file system of troubleshooting along the way.

It took a technician of VMware Service excellent, attentive, methodical remote 2 hours in a WebEx previously to resolve problems with these 2 files vmdk manually, because he found that there is a lock on them. I opened a request of Service (SR) # with VMware by following the instructions here:

VMware KB: Cannot access certain files on a VMFS datastore

To resolve this problem, apply for support from VMware Support and note this ID (1012036) Knowledge Base article in the description of the problem. For more information on the filing of a request for support, see How to submit a support request.

I'll cover this saga and the exact process for collecting and downloading of newspapers, through to my TinkerTry.com, including the ride video.  I even captured much of the technical work that has been done. That said, it is true that little of the magic that was made to resurrect the metadata will remain a mystery, given that this piece is VMware.

I'm ok with a bit of black box, considering how I'm happy that I got all my data, and time savings that the quick recovery represented.

  • Run 2 Weblogic domains from the same console

    Hello

    I have a question.

Currently now I have 2 domains, each domain has been installed with the management server and managed servers.
    I have 1 nodemanager.

During the installation of the areas I had to provide different ports for weblogic instances, so I have 2 different consoles to access the WL to manage the domains.

    The question:
Is there a handy way and admin 2 different domains (which runs on the same machine) from the same console WL?

    Thank you

We do not have a way to administer both weblogic from the same console.

But I think you can install Oracle Enterprise Manager to manage your middleware infrastructure.

  • Questions of VLAN to the ESX virtual machine

    Guys,

We run ESX on a R710 with 4 network ports and two virtual servers that it contains.

We want a server VLAN 1 re-branded and the other to VLAN 2 from the actuall switch. Only problem is there is room for 1 VLAN because all of our physical network cards are already used. Here's the brerakdown.

vmNIC 0 is for the management port (1 nic physical)

vmNIC 1 is for VMS (1 nic physical)

vmNIC 2 & 3 is for the iSCSI network (NIC physical 2)

So you can see we have not more physical NIC left to assing one of these virtual machines to a VLAN different

Any ideas? I created a virtual switch, but we of course no physical NIC to attach to it. When I tried to add the existing virtual machien nic, he warned me that the virtual machines will be moved to it. A little confusing, but how do I get this other server on one VLAN different?

If you enter just one ID VLAN on the parameters of port group ESX will mark all frames leaving the portgroup with a small (4 bytes) 'tag' indicating the id VLAN. This tag will then be analyzed by the physical switch will then understand what VLAN, this framework needs to be sent in.

However, the switch must be configured to accept incoming frames with certain tags. If this is not the case, most of the switches will drop frames with identification tags VLAN strangers.

  • Own VLAN for the Service console

    Hello

I was reading the esx3 best practices document and saw in it that it was recommended to the Service console on its own VLAN. I was wondering why... I can see why this with vMotion, but I'm not sure for the SC.

    Thank you

The Service Console is a VM with access to the ESX kernel. If it is compromised, the attacker a free course on your virtual machines and VMFS leading to back and potential data theft. Using a VLAN independent is a way to strengthen security for the Service Console with the isolation.

  • How to configure "allowremovablemedia" parameter in the recovery console?

    Hello

I recently traded a 2.5 "portable laptop HD to a new computer in order to retrieve some files. When I got to the Windows logon screen, he said I would need activate windows, before I could access the files. It now not even longer shows up this message so it connects me automatically power off when you I connection. Seeing as how I don't have another computer to place the HD, I decided to just copy the files from the HD to another location in the recovery console.

Unfortunately, the default recovery console not allow copying the files to removable media and I read that there is a parameter of the recovery console to enable the copy on removable media 'set allowremovablemedia = true' but I also heard that is not accessible without first log on as an administrator and change some settings for security policy.

Because the way I can't log in as administrator (or anyone else), I was wondering if there are other options to be able to copy files to removable media in the recovery console.

The answers would be greatly appreciated.

Create free Linux Livecd such as Knoppix and boot your computer from this CD.  AprΦs the dΘmarrage, you will have full access to your hard drive and removable USB drives or network storage.  The CD is also easy to create that downloading a ".iso" file then the function 'Burn Image' of any burning program allows you to burn a bootable CD.  You may need to use another computer to download/burn this CD.

  • Change the id vlan of the Service Console and now can't connect

    Hello

My ESX 3.5 server was with a Service Console PG and a PG VMotion on vSwitch0. There are 2 physical NIC assigned to the vSwitch, which are transmitted to the 2 physical network switches.

Guys id assigned netoeking vlan 200 to 2 ports on the 2 natachasery physical switches is connected. In the VI client, if I change the properties of vSwitch0-> Console of Service and the value of the vlan 200, I completely lose connectivity to the host. I can't ping the IP address SC longer. I have a keyboard/screen connected to the host and when I connect to the SC, I can't ping the default gateway of the SC or whatever it is.

I used esxcfg-vswitch to set of the SC vlan id 0 (all) and bingo!, I can speak to the host again and he can talk. The network guys arrure me, they put the vlan id = 200 on the OK physical switch ports. So what goes wrong?

FWIW, we also have an ESX4 from same host configured the host to 3.5 and it communicates very well. It's the SC a vlan = 200 and issued for the same physical switches.

    George.

the switch port config are not the same between the hosts of working and non-working.  See http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1003806 for example config

  • Is there a correct configuration of network for the ESX host computers

Have a VC server and 2 ESX 3.5 hosts. Each host is filled with 6 cards.

    Three VLANs are created:

The VM network for traffic Server

    Vmotion: for Vmotion traffic

    Management VLan: For traffic management

The network adapters on each host have been assigned as follows:

2 network cards - the VM network

    2 NICs - Vmotion & Service Console

2 NICs - ? How can I use them for? Service console?

    What I am doing wrong?

Yes, #3 is required for vmotion vmkernel type. Then that VLAN allows them to route in the end, it is not necessary for them to communicate. and Yes, SC is the management network

Thank you that worked for me even if I don't have to go to the Microsoft download website.  I checked the history of update and there were a few who failed to update.  He said there was updates had to wait to be downloaded so I clicked on that and then selected the updates, click on the bottom. I think he may have said then or download it now.  It took me back to the update page where I chose to update.  Which corrects the problem.  I have them one at a time incase there was a special that was causing problems, but they fine all the updates and my computer restarted normally
