Changing the location of the .pag & .ind files

Hi all

Essbase environment 9.3.1
Are there problems with changing the location of the data and Index files?
c:\Hyperion\AnalyticServices\app\Sample1 in c:\Data egChanging

Thank you
Maury

Not really. There are a few considerations
1. If you already have data, changing the location will not change when the existing data. you need to erase the data and the re - export import.
2. you must make sure that you stop and restart the application before doing step 1, but after changing the location of the file
3. If you have a backup routine, make sure that you change where it picks up the page and index of files to back up

  • How can I change the unrecognizable FrameMaker file format? Why has he become unrecognizable after changing the file name?

    I update an existing project in the FrameMaker10, which is located in a structure of book. I changed the names of the files in the directory, they upgrade 11 FrameMaker and saved. When I try to add them to the book (whose name I also updated) a problem for some files. When I try t add them to the book file, I get an error message that says that the book file is unrecognizable. (It allows me to add it, but it appears in the file book with an icon that has a blue "M" in there.) Why is that happening and how can I change these files to normal FrameMaker files? Thank you.

    Try to open the problem files using a text editor or viewer of files to see what the first bytes contain. Contains all the binary files valid FM FM 11 in the first bytes of the file.

    During the updating of the books, it is sometimes better just to create a new address book file and add files to it.

    When you rename files in a book, changes at the level of the system will break any links/cross-references between files, so it is always best to use the option rename book in the file to change the names of files FM. This will keep the correct links.

    This is way beyond what can be done with PDF, except by copying the text and make a new document in Word or something.

    That said, Adobe Reader on Windows may display the text AS IF the PDF file has been divided. It's the text reformatting. It may be possible in Reader for iPhone, you can try the player for ios forum.

  • How to manually change the DNS zone files?

    I'm running OS X version 10.11.2 (El Capitan) and using App Server version 5.0.15 on a Mac Mini.

    I need to change the DNS Zone files manually because the DNS Server App Manager does not provide a U / I in order to add some elements (such as adding a delegation, etc.). I use TextWrangler (5.0.2) as editor-in-Chief.

    I found an old post on how to do this here, but the information listed it seems obsolete.

    I was able to find the zone files to:

    / Library/server/name

    as:

    CBI .

    When I try to save or overwrite the db. files, or try to save all the files in that directory, I get an error indicating that:

    "Save the authenticated for this file failed (error application code: 20004).

    Since a window Terminal, if I go to that directory and type:

    Echo hello > temp.txt

    I get:

    Permission denied

    I am logged in using an administrator account.

    Before editing the db. files, I turned off the DNS in the App Server, then exit the server application server.

    What should I do to manually update the db. files?

    These files are protected from root. You need to elevate your permissions to be able to change them.

    Probably you use a text editor like vi, nano or pico command line. sudo vi/path/to/file for example.

    Back up the files first to protect against error. In addition, be aware that Apple can run on some of your changes if you change the.app areas.

    Hi Barry

    Affecting the security attribute Access Page Protection page No. URL Access and navigate between pages using the type of the Page Management Branch (uncheck the option creates a branch using redirection page in the Wizard) will avoid this:

    No URL access -Page can not be found using a URL, but the page can be the target of a type of Page Management Branch, is not doing a URL redirect.

    It is a little more restrictive that a normal direction of the session state values cannot be positioned or erased declaratively in the branch, but is not often necessary in a several step wizard, and it's pretty simple to work round using prior processes - or post-branche or by referencing the item values directly from other pages.

  • Change the page size - grayed out of boxes

    I'm changing the page size of the pages within a document. Apparently, you're supposed to select the pages in the Pages panel and then change the height and width of the Panel settings. My height and width boxes are grayed out. What have I done wrong?

    Your screenshot shows you the active Selection (the black arrow) tool, not the Page tool (the third tool from above).

  • Hi, is it possible to change the names of files that export out of indesign while packing?

    Hi, is it possible to change the names of files that export out of indesign while packing?

    For example, I can change the "Font of the Document" folder to export as a "document-fonts"?

    I ask because our naming structure requires without capital letters and no spaces. Spaces are replaced by dashes (-).

    And it would be nice if it was always exported as needed, instead of having to go back and change the names of files.

    Thank you! Much appreciated!

    Which cannot be changed without having a bad effect,. The name "Document fonts" is special. When you compress a file with fonts in a folder using exactly this name, InDesign know that these policies should be open and will be used in the document to the other end. If you name this file anything else, InDesign ignore fonts and the recipient will have to open the fonts manually.

    If you have decided to change the folder names, you will need to do once the package created, perhaps with a script.

  • How to change the page numbers after adding & save page numbers in the pdf document - need to change the existing page printed on the upper right in the header numbers

    How to change the page numbers after you add and save the page numbers in the pdf document - need to change the existing page printed on the upper right in the header numbers.

    These page numbers were initially created using Acrobat PDF header and footer.

    I have a 750 page pdf document that I've created.

    I have to sometimes the pages up and down after that I added the page numbers in the document by using the Header_Footer tool on the right column of tools.

    But after you save the document, if I get a few pages around, I can't go back and change the page numbers.

    I thought that the page numbers, as indicated in the header and footer must have changed automatically, but I guess that once its print, that it cannot be edited - is that, as what is?

    So I guess we should always first get a copy without numbers of pages before confirming the documents and the creation of an index.

    A way to remove these page numbers already there and add new page numbers.

    Its a lot of work to align 750 court documents and then realize that you must move some and then realize the page numbers cannot be changed and thus begin to do this all over again to compile which can take about 10 hours.

    My question is quite simple, but I hope that overall, I got my point. Sorry if I made it is too complex.

    If no simple way, want to know if anyone has another different tool or a few recommendations to better highlight what I'm doing wrong.

    Thank you for your review and response.

    You should be able to update with tools - Pages - header & foot-

    Update... It not work for you?

    If this isn't the case, then try to remove from this menu and then re - adding them.

  • Change the page size, unexpected behavior, CC

    Hi, having a problem with the changes after the change of the page. In a nutshell if I get cardboard PMPoint transformation (0,0) before a change of page size, the result is exactly as planned, the origin of the page in the editing table. After I change the page size using kSetPageSetupPrefsCmdBoss and run the transformation even recalibrated value is identical before changing the page size.

    Here's some quick code and output to illustrate. PageSizing:; DoYourThing() called and made the intial processing, prints the output in InspectTransformation(), then call ChangePageSize() and remembers InspectTransformation().

    Sub PageSizing: DoYourThing()

    {

    IDocument* theFrontDoc = Utils<ILayoutUIUtils> ()->GetFrontDocument();

    if (theFrontDoc is nil) { cost < < "Need a doc." } < < endl; return; }

    fDoc = theFrontDoc;

    GetPageSpreadRefs()1); Download the UIDRef from the 1st page and spread

    if (fPageRef == UIDRef:gNull) { cost < < "Invalid Page" UIDRef. < < endl;} return; }

    if (fSpreadRef == UIDRef:gNull) { cost < < "Invalid spread UIDRef." } < < endl; return; }

    cost < < "before changing the size of the Page." << ENDL ;

    InspectTranforms();

    bool16 sizeChangeResult = ChangePageSize();

    if (sizeChangeResult) {

    cost < < "after changing the size of the Page." << ENDL ;

    InspectTranforms();

    }

    }

    Sub PageSizing: InspectTranforms()

    {

    do {

    PMPoint leftTopPage (0, 0); / / Page coords

    InterfacePtr<IGeometry> pageGeo (fPageRef UseDefaultIID(());

    PMMatrix page2Pb =:pageGeo InnerToPasteboardMatrix();

    PMRect pageBoundsInPasteboard = pageGeo->GetStrokeBoundingBox(page2Pb);

    PMPoint pageOriginInPasteboard is pageBoundsInPasteboard. LeftTop ();

    Helper:PrintPoint(pageOriginInPasteboard, 'Origin of the dough pension Page.');

    InterfacePtr<ITransform> pageTransform (fPageRef UseDefaultIID(());

    PMPoint leftTopInPasteboard = leftTopPage;

            :: TransformInnerPointToPasteboard() pageTransform, & leftTopInPasteboard);

    Helper:PrintPoint(leftTopInPasteboard, "transformed the point (0,0) in cardboard coords.") );

    } while (kFalse);

    }

    bool16 PageSizing: ChangePageSize()

    {

    bool16 retval = kFalse;

    do {

    InterfacePtr<IPageSetupPrefs> docPrefs (fDoc->GetDocWorkSpace(), UseDefaultIID());

    if (docPrefs is nil) { cost < < "Nile IPageSetupPrefs" < < endl;} Break; }

    PMPageSize currPgSz = docPrefs->GetPageSizePref(); / / 612, 792

    PMPageSize newPgSz (currPgSz. OutputWidth() + 50, currPgSz. OutputHeight () + 50);

    DocPageBinding link = Utils<ILayoutUtils> ()->GetDocumentPageBinding(:GetUIDRef(fDoc));

    cmdData->SetDocSetupCmdData(:GetUIDRef(fDoc),)

    newPgSz,

    retval = (ec == kSuccess);

    } while (kFalse);

    Return retval;

    }

    The output

    consoleOutput.png

    As you can see the origin of the page is different after the order of page size, but the transformation returns the same value of 0.0.

    Am I missing something about transformations or the order of page size?

    Thanks for any help. Mike

    Hello Mike,.

    you was not assuming that the upper left corner of a page in coordinates (0, 0) pasteborad. That is right. But you assuming that the upper left corner of a page in internal coordinates is (0, 0). And it is wrong. The origin of the page in internal coordinates is (0, 0) after resizing.
