Character palette displays the wrong font size

I work with a card that has been created with GIS mapping software. For some reason, the sizes are wrong in the character palette. For example, type that is actually 5.56pt is show as .7pt

If I reset the palette of characters, the size of the fonts and characters back by default (enchantress 12pt), but the size is in reality much larger than 12pt. There must be another place where the type is currently scaling, but I can't find it anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To make matters worse, if I copy the text to a new text box, type return to its correct size. It's clearly something to do with the box that contains. I'd rather not have to replace every occurrence of the text, because they are too many and placement is critcal in map data.

Also, to clarify, I can say, the text block has not been weighed and both horizontal and vertical scale are 100%

If it comes out of ArcMap then the best thing to do is to select all and any click using the arrows to the left and then click the right move.

  • Table of contents displays the wrong fonts... Sometimes

When I generate a table of contents, it generally works well, but sometimes text comes from the size and color of the text source instead of the assigned police of OCD.

I have a my "TOC 1" paragraph style value 9/18 black points.  One of my headers is partially oversized and reversed text to white 36 p. It is not saved as a character style, just make it bigger.  Rather than follow the assigned table of contents 1 style, this text is available in white 36 p. I have other places where the headers are reversed and or resized and it displays fine in the table of contents.  In some cases, the table of contents comes in the color of the text source... but most of the time it comes of as it should be, as the color of the table of contents 1.

    Why the inconsistency?

I keep digging and I found the answer. It's more than the "local formatting". It is "localpartial formatting" that replaces the table of contents style.

I saw this initially because it was only a space empty at the end of the header which is different, so it was invisible to me.

If the text in a header in the doc is exactly the same, no matter how it is modified locally, the TOC style is applied in its entirety.

If any part of this text is different, the table of contents will be changed... BUT:

Different changes apply to different parts of the line in the table of contents. So we can predict how some inmates / change will apply.

If this is supposed to be a feature rather than a problem, it's a pretty bad; too many incompatible variables.

The graph below shows some of the results possible.  At least now I know what is the problem and how to avoid it.

  • Firefox 5 displays the right fonts only in Mode safe!

After upgrading to Firefox 5, I noticed it displays the wrong fonts (larger than they should - they look ok in Firefox 4.x, Chrome, Opera).

The strange thing is that if I run Firefox 5 Mode without failure, it displays it correctly. I have disabled all addons, I cleaned all Cache, configuration of the size of minimum font... even reinstalled. It is allowed only in Mode safe looking.

    What else to do?

Safe mode disables extensions in Firefox 4, and disables hardware acceleration.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

  • Creative cloud - bar menus and palette are the tiny fonts.

I just downloaded creative cloud on my lenovo Yoga Pro 2.  The size of my bar menus and Palette are the tiny fonts.  However, the MenuBar of Lightroom and palette are in an easy to read normal size fonts.  Can someone tell me how to change just Photoshop?

Because now the solution seems to use 200% scale setting in Edit > Preferences > experimental features.

There is also a setting to edit > Preferences > Interface > UI font size that expands some of the fonts, although not the menu bar.

After changing a setting, you must restart photoshop to see the changes.

    kimlife,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

There are a few things that can cause this.  One is a damaged normal.dot template, one is a damaged printer driver, and the other would be a sort of third part add in.  Start with the simplest to try so that replaces the normal.dot template.

Click Start, click search, and in the search for box, type normal.dot.  There should be a search option you can check "Search hidden files", which is checked.  If it does not, try searching * .dot.  It can be difficult to find because it is a hidden file.  You may have to go into options files and make sure that 'show hidden files' are ticked.  Whenever you find the normal.dot file, rename the old.dot and restart your computer.  Open Word and it will create a new normal.dot template, which is what Word uses as a document is empty by default.

If this does not work, read this article about a third-party add-in that can cause this problem:

  • How do you define the default font size and color for the text caption and text boxes?

When I click CTR + e to open the text properties box when you are working with markup tools, the default font size is 9.

I understand how to change the font size for the individual text boxes but the size is up to 9 whenever I create a new box.

Is there a way to set a default font for brand boxes place size? I spent hours searching and have not found one.

  • Phtoshop CC 2014 / the Incease of the GUI font size?

    Hello!

Looks like that the font size is smaller in Photoshop CC 2014 in CC of Photoshop.

    I have a DELL U2713H with 2560 x 1400 pixels.

But even if I my glass door (which was not required by using the previous version of Photoshop) the font size is a bit small and not easy to read.

I tried the experimenter function to increase graphic interface elements ALL 200%, but the result is funny, but not useful in my case ;-)

So I wonder, if there is no chance to increase the font size of the GUI is readable again.

    Concerning

There are two sizes of separate policies:

    1. the menus

    2 about everything

The font size of the menu is now the same as what you would have seen with Windows desktop 100% implemented nationally before the value.  The only font size is now the effects of setting in Preferences - experimental features Panel (as you saw), and may not be 100% or 200%.

The rest of the fonts in Photoshop can be affected by the Preferences - Panel interface , setting the font size of the user interface.  The beach is not great, and you will need to close and restart Photoshop to see the change.

    I hope this helps!

  • The wrong document size display... why?

    Hello

I have an image of great about 8047 x 5270 pixel (which equals 212 cm x 139 cm), but as I spend cm (by clicking left on leaders and selecting cm), photoshop tells me that my document size is about 160 x 98 cm.

I'm wrong, or what is happening?

    Thank you

The amount of pixels per cm/inches/whatever is determined by the resolution of the document. You can check this setting in the Image-> Image size

  • How to change the window font sizes help LabVIEW?

I read the help documents LabVIEW quite often, and the default fonts are too small, making it very difficult to read for long period of time. I couldn't find anything when I change the font size.

    Please let me know.

    Thank you.

Help is HTML and at least, in Windows, it seems that IE is used to display. Most web pages have a defined font size to control the appearance of the page, but you can ignore it by going to Internet Options (accessible from both help screen) > accessibility (which is a button hidden in the bottom of the page). I see no using LabVIEW to actually specifying the size, but at least for me it made bigger. Note that this affects any web page that view you in Internet Explorer.

  • Windows 7 - display shows several font sizes

On Windows 7, the font sizes are different random sizes.

The screen fonts are set to 125% including TR fit for the laptop screen size, however the fonts that appear in dialog boxes may be considerably smaller or larger than the setting.  Some dialog boxes have a font size that looks more like 150%, while other dialog boxes have a font size that is closer to 100%.

This mixture of font sizes is very annoying.  This effect is mainly Windows, some at the office.

Is it possible to force the font size in a uniform framework?

    I have a laptop Dell Precision M4700, with SP1, Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit

Some programs does not correctly supported display DPI scaling and give unpredictable results.  If there is no update for these programs, it has no way to remedy otherwise to use 100% design instead.

  • Where is the minimum font size in Safari Version 10.0 (11602.1.50.0.10)?

I need to control the font size in Safari. Apple seems to have removed. Does anyone know where the police since the previous version of Safari controls went?

Workarounds don't work. I find myself with a page too big for my Air 13 "screen if fonts are quite large. If the Safari page fits the screen, fonts are too low.

(insert a LOT of expletives here).

    Help!

Just found out his omission, too!  Horrible!

Minimum font size control has been using Safari... keys to allow the text on the pages to have a readable size.  What is happening with Apple?

Now, perhaps, there is an extension that can do this.  OFF to get one!

  • Why the different font sizes when formatting, it's the same?

When I reply to a message in HTML (in HTML) text of type I is a different size than in the original message. The text of the original message is "body text, Arial, medium. If I format my answer exactly the same text, the font is smaller than the original. If I increase the font size, the police is larger than the original. Why text passages are not formatted in exactly in the same way, the same?

Thunderbird may be telling you, but he is average Arial. It's very probably Arial and a number in points or in pixels. Microsoft Outlook in particular spend an excessive amount of space on the specification of fonts (which are in fact not good in HTML)

The only way to be sure exactly how the original mail is defined is to look at the source of the message (ctrl + U)
