Check-in: launch original raw, keep it as a smart object in PSD ok?

For archiving purposes, once a. NAVE is embedded in a .psd as a dynamic object file,

I can run the original. NAVE, right?  Because the full reference is contained in

the smart object as long as I keep the .psd, right?

Thank you

Steve, if your question is about whether the smart object and the original raw file are linked, the answer is that they are NOT related.  If the removal of the original raw file will not affect the Smart object in the slightest.

The opportunity to keep the file raw for other purposes is an entirely different and subjective issue.  It depends on factors like what the future may hold, if you plan to install Adobe abandons as many of us are, etc..

Storage space is very cheap these days.

  • How to remove the original RAW files after deletion of the intelligent insights?

    Hello comrades!

I have change my series of photos with smart thumbnails, disconnected my external HARD disk (where the original RAW files). I deleted some pictures from the catalog, and I now have only the best photos of "keeper".

Could you help me please, how to remove the original rejection RAW from my hard drive external? If I connect my external hard drive and try to sync photos, LR offer me an import dialog box photos refused from the external hard drive, instead delete photos denied the original RAWs.

    Thank you very much!

    John

Stop disconnect the external drive before you delete the catalog releases and select Remove from the disk.

Otherwise, you will need to manually, delete them externally or reimport then them select all, make sure previous import is selected, Photos and then delete and remove disk.

  • The DNG format conversion and loss of the original RAW file?

I was guided to implement my structure of import so that Lightroom would take my Canon. Cr2 files and convert them to DNG on import. Now, I find that for a major competition, they want to see the RAW file origin but while in the preferences panel, I've had 'data fast loading Embed' checked, I had not checked the box for "Embed original RAW file. Thus, it is impossible for me to produce the original RAW file now?

If I check the box to embed original raw file, what are the implications for the sizes of files and disk space?

After you click Import there are choices in the upper part of the import dialog box. If your photos are imported from the camera or camera card select copy. If the CR2 files are already in a folder on your computer, choose Add. LR will bring in the original CR2 files and create a XMP sidecar for each of them.

Create a XMP file does not by default. You need to tell Lightroom to do by turning on an option or by using a command. Some people never use the XMP sidecar files.

  • How to export the library Photos Apple to Adobe Creative Cloud maintaining the original RAW files

    Hello community,

I feel 'stupid' as I was on Adobe on my Windows system, then when I went to Mac, I used their Apreture and having migrated to their last Photos app, and affected by the many limitations of it, I try to export my library of Photos Apple together (two of them) in Adobe Creative Cloud.

The big worry here is that if such a device exists on end of Adobe? And, personally, I spoke with support from Apple for the Photos app and I was told there is _no way_ to export their photos app original RAW files!  It's horrible for a photographer!

Basically, just want to know if there is a way to migrate the library of Photos Apple (keeping the RAW digital files) on Adobe Creative Cloud.  I searched and not found an answer in the FAQ.

    Thank you

    Ramiel

Using the Apple Photo of Unmodified Original export feature, it seems, the original RAW. CR2 file could export... so looks like I have to export as this manually and reorganize everything.

Adobe really needs to have this feature/plugin.  Suggest this feature on http://feedback.photoshop.com and suggest others do as well.

  • How can I access the original RAW file from the camera of the Iphone?

Hello community. I work with professional photography. I talked to my colleagues for the quality of the pictures we take with our Iphones.  There are many filtering and strengthen and interpolation in the original photo app process of apples. I wonder if there is a way to access the original raw data to the chip in a camera of the iphone (from iphone iPhone 5 6 for the next Iphone.) I think that a lot of people engaged in photography smartphone could benefit from accessing the original raw (not emulation, no simulations) files.

    I appreciate your answers.

Currently on iOS 9, you can get the RAW of the stock camera app, or any other application photos. However, the app '645 PRO MKIII' did take pictures and store them in unprocessed TIFF formats, which is as close as possible. However, Apple is expected to push back the FIRST support in iOS 10 with third-party apps, no word on the stock soft well.

Hey there, I guess your question is "how to determine if my iphone is true or false. If Yes, then if you go here https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do just enter your serial number and code and if his 'real', then it will show you the model of the Iphone and guaranteed dates. If this isn't the case, then you know the rest. If this is not the case then try to download apps from the app store and run or can it connect to itunes. Tell me what best worked: D - Jon

  • Windows Movie Maker 6.0 error during recording: check if the original sources are still available, the saving location is available and if there is enough disk space

Original title: Windows Movie Maker 6.0 Save Bug?

Something's weird with Windows Movie Maker...

It cannot record movies, I create somehow.

Immediamente when it starts to save, it gives an error signal: check if the original sources are always available (and yet, they all), there is no such thing as the save location (of course it is!) and if there is enough disk space (a lot of). Still, it will not save. How can this be possible?

I use an mp3 file (pendulum - watercolor) and have a lot of footage, often used with effects. They are 1280 x 1024 and a .avi file. Everything should work fine, but still does not work. Help me!

  • Returning to an original RAW image in ACR

In the past, I have almost always used of Nikon's Capture NX2 as my RAW Editor. In that, it is immediately obvious how to get back to the camera image NAVE original, or even choose to go back to different stages of the history of publishing.

There seems no obvious way to do this in ACR. For example, I made a mistake in an edition of RAW, but when I opened it the RAW image from bridge I had the version published with unwanted error.

I'd appreciate some advice on this. In an ideal world, I'd like to ACR to what Nikon Capture can do.

I also just found, when you try to assign a keyword to this file in Bridge, I had got a "...". metadata write error"message. All other NEF files in this folder (which none have yet been rewritten in ACR) has accepted the help of keywords without any problem.

Since writing the above, I found that this "metadata write error" is a common problem for which there seems no solution - it extends to older versions of the bridge (I have CS6 64-bit vety last updated).

I deleted the file for the file in question, but the error remains.

I can't help but be a little concerned about what actually makes ACR file. Maybe I'll go back to Capture NX2 (not without its problems) unless there are solutions to these problems.

    Hello

Nothing has changed in your NEF file. ACR never changes the original raw file. All panel mounting in ACR will have a drop down (small icon to the right of the pannel bar) where you can reset default settings.

  • Lightroom - can I import RAW files, re - order, then change the numbering of the original RAW file?

Lightroom - can I import RAW files, re - order, then change the numbering of the original RAW file?

I used two different cameras and several memory cards to shoot a recent wedding. Unfortunately, time of the camera were a different time, so the time of capture does not correctly order them. Obviously neither does the name of the file...

    Thank you

    Natalie

Yes, after you use Lightroom to correct the capture time in the files themselves, in the library the library module > rename Photo allows you to rebuild all the filenames selected from scratch. Just customize the preset file name. Use the chips here, you can set up a change of name that begins with a numbering sequence (so that they appear in the order you want) and including the Date, hour, Minute, second in addition to other chips or custom text to add to each file name.

  • How to get an original RAW image after cropping and openness RAW file?

    Hello

I have a Canon EOS 350 d camera and now PSE 9.  I have taken a few RAW images & imported in PSE 9 OK.  I know that the original RAW image is preserved after the change.  However, after cropping a picture BRUTE of the editor and then "Open" and "save under" a PSD or JPEG, I then close the image in the editor and the cropped image appears in the Organizer.  This is as it should be, I think.  If I then want to start from scratch on the original RAW image, it seems to me that I have to manually remove the modified version and the .xmp file in Windows Explorer, and then double-click the RAW file in Windows Explorer, which then open correctly in the editor of PES 9 of origin.  Is this possible to PSE 9?

When you open the original camera raw image, go to the context menu

and choose default Camera Raw, which resets everything except the crop, straighten,

    and rotatate parameters.

To get rid of the culture and/or straighten the settings, click on and hold on to the crop tool and choose the option clear crop.

To reset the settings of Image rotation, you have the back turn manually using the image rotation buttons.

  • Backup original RAW

I am very new to this so sorry. I know this has been asked before, but after a search, I can't find a good job.

When I import my pictures in LR3 and start tweaking their doing it automatically saves the original RAW file? If so how and where/how I access it at a later date?

It will be the same after the closing and restarting LR, don't worry. By exporting, you develop the RAW in a file that others can display (export in jpg format) or that you can treat more (export as 16-bit tif)...

  • Exporting 'Original Raw' LR

For some applications, I need the ability to return to a unprocessed Raw file.  When I export a say. File NAVE from LR I'm getting a copy of the original unmodified.  This is important because for some cameras... .the raw conversion can be better in a converter specific camera... as if Nikon NX2.

If you choose 'original' as one of your export options it would be the original raw image without changing any of your Lightroom.  Lightroom changes are modifications of metadata that is stored in a database, unless you have configured to save changes in a file of Lightroom.  But even in this case, the NEF files would remain unchanged because Lightroom does not change the file raw anyway.

  • RE: Camera Raw and smart objects

    Hello everyone.

    I have a question please.

Inside of the 8.1 camera raw workflow options, I checked the box to open in Photoshop as smart objects.

I noticed inside the Camera Raw, open the Image box to turn to, the open object box.  I clicked open, and he opened the Image as objects inside Photoshop the Smart.

If I make changes to the Image, and if I Double click on the smart object, it will open in Camera Raw again which is good.

I also noticed that if I make changes to the Image inside the Raw to the dynamic object camera after clicking Open Smart Objects I see the changes inside the Photoshop too.

But if I make the changes to the Image inside the Photoshop, and later I Double click on the Image, the Image opens inside the Camera Raw, without modification.

Here's my question: still The Smart object Image is a Raw Image?

    My next question is:

I don't know if I open a Raw Image Inside the Camera Raw and if I click on fact, the image is always a Raw Image, which is good, and if I click on Reset low, will reset back. If I change only the White Balance and click on go back the Camera Raw and I chose as shot, the Image goes back to the Original Raw file.

But if I do other changes such as exposure, any color change and click on I did can never return to the original...

Last month I was in collaboration with the Lightroom and I noticed if I open a raw image inside the Lightroom and modifications to make the Image, any time I can click on reset and the Raw image dates back to its origin.

I don't think that we can do this with Camera Raw can us?

Claire removes the settings in camera raw completely. You will not see the setting on the thumbnail icon in Bridge

By default Camera Raw will display the icon and double click on the thumbnail will always open in Camera Raw with the default settings.  The default value is "As Shot", that's why you see no difference. It is when you select a default Custom you want. He will stay with the Camera Raw file.

See this article by Julienne Kost.

    http://blogs.Adobe.com/jkost/2009/10/setting_new_camera_raw_default.html

Another difference is with JPEGs. Open a JPEG in ACR, making an adjustment, click 'done '.  Select 'Default Camera Raw' and it will always open in ACR instead of Photoshop.  Select 'Clear' and it's a normal jpeg which is still open in Photoshop.

Basically it's all I know, I normally don't use ACR much.
