Check the temporary directory

I get an error message when I send some emails:
The message send failed. Could not open the temporary file C: users/Marlene/Appdata/local/temp/nsmail-3.tmp
Check your 'temporary directory settings.
I had that before. I deleted temporary files and the old HMS files in my profile.
The message, but when I try again, it sends successfully. However, I did all these steps and it still happens. Not with every message, it is very random.
I use Thunderbird for Windows Vista 64-bit.
Should I uninstall thunderbird and reinstall? Thanks for any help.

    Hello

Why I can't install some files simply by clicking on the corresponding file, as I used to do before? I discovered that I can now install some files, right click on the file and choosing the "Run as Administrator" option, but is it really necessary if I'm already the admin and tries to install the file of my own user account (i.e. administartor)? I went to http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/ and run the file MicrosoftFixit.ProgramInstallUninstall.FISC (.) but it would not solve the issue. What can I do about it then? I tried these steps and it helped:

    1. Go to C:\ directory users\ [username]-local appdata\
    2. Find the temp folder and right click on it
    3. Click on properties and go to the Security tab
    4. Click everyone, and then change

I work with ACS 5.2 and using Radius Authentication client vpn.

I received the error message when you try to install ac3filter_1_63b or AC3Filter.

I use a Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2. The processor is AMD Athlon (TM) 64 X 2 Dual Core processor 4400 + 2.31 GHz. Is memory 2,00 GB, and the type of system is a 34-bit operating system.

I've tried right-clicking on the icon of configuration and running it as administrator but the same problem occurs. I also restarted my computer many times for nothing doesn't.

What should I do to fix this error? If we need more information on my computer that I will quickly submit.

    Hi Totbehfar,

It seems that AC3filter is not compatible with Windows Vista by looking in the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/Search.aspx?type=Software&s=AC3Filter

However, this error may also be due:

    i. due to a malware/spyware infection.
II. or if there are remnants of previously uninstalled of programs in the registry

I suggest you use the Windows clean up utility and remove all entries of all unused/uninstalled programs remains.

    1. visit the following link to download the cleanup utility: http://download.microsoft.com/download/E/9/D/E9D80355-7AB4-45B8-80E8-983A48D5E1BD/msicuu2.exe

    2. save the file on the computer.

    3. install this tool on the computer.

    4. click on start-> (all the) programs-> Windows Installer Clean Up.

    5. see if you can find all unused/uninstalled programs in the list. If so, remove them.

    6. restart the computer.

    7. analyze the computer using Antivirus software because this problem can occur if the computer is infected. You can do a scan of PC security by clicking on the link http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm and clicking on the analysis of a complete Service and accept the agreement.

    8. install the software and check if that helps.

There is a small blue link at the bottom right that says "options." Click on this and go to a folder where you want the files to go. It is probably configured to save temporary files in a location that is not available, IE. a flah drive, separate disk drive, etc. For best results when choosing a temporary storage location, choose a folder on your hard disk on a partition that has at least 5 GB of available disk space.

You shouldn't really need to create a temporary directory - especially for the Brother printer drivers.  You can download it at any place that you can easily find (like the office).  Then double-click it to run it (run) on it and let it install.

    I realize has their instructions (probably the ones found here<-- that="" is="" a="" link)="" say="" to="" download="" the="" file="" to="" a="" temporary="" directory="" -="" but="" i="" just="" downloaded="" the="" file="" you="" need="" (mfc-240c-inst-win7-a2.exe)="" and="" double-clicked="" on="" it="" and="" it="" doesn't="" have="" to="" be="" anywhere="" special. ="" it="" will="" 'extract'="" to="" the="" native="" temporary="" directories="" as="" needed="" (nothing="" to="" be="" concerned="" with)="" and="" then="" ask="" you="" to="" choose="" a="">

Which I suppose you want to English (as shown), and then you click OK.

He then expand some additional files and then ask you to accept a license agreement (I suggest "Yes" If you want to go further):

In your case... choose 'Standard' and click Next and continue in this way until it is installed.  Then (once Setup is complete and closed) you can restart the computer (first and foremost) and then delete the original file you downloaded (MFC-240 c-inst-win7 - A2.EXE) on your desktop (or downloads, etc.)

    You should get through it.

  • Check if the TMS directory is accessible from codec

    Hi all

I'm starting a new configuration of telepresence. I have problems with directories. Seems that codec are not even trying to search the TMS directory.

How can I check if the codec is configured to query the directory TMS?

In "Advanced-> directory server 1 Configuration" ID has the default value, type MSD and URL to http:///tms/public/external/phonebook/phonebookservice.asmx

When users press the directory key in remote control no shows, only my Contacts.

    Thank you

    Concerning

Thanks for the update - the question is usually a proxy or a firewall - your endpoints need to have direct access to port 80 on the box of TMS on the subnet, they are on.

  • Create installers 'Impossible to execute the file in temporary Directory.Setup Aborted' error

After update of the Windows 8 Pro I get this error when trying to some applications with the exe extension.
"Cannot run the file in the temporary abandonment of Directory.Setup."
    "Error 5: access is denied."

The problem was there earlier and I refreshed the system using the installation disc. But again started after installing the updates. Is this a problem with my system only, or all faced this problem.
This question doesn't have a meeting if the program is run as administrator. Same update Firefox browser requires the administrator privilege.

Forget all the complex Microsoft 'solutions '.

I had this same problem with the .exe file na recently and the solution is very simple.

It's just a problem with the security level of Microsoft, so you just click on the file with the right mouse button and choose 'run as administrator '.

    FACT!

any ideas what the permission problem?

    Thank you

    Jim

Found the problem and it's nothing to do with users, groups, and permissions of files (tmp or anything else besides!)

The problem was that I had not put the sysconfig according the upgrade installation Notes & R12.2 for Linux x 86-64 ( note 1330701.1 )

I guess the bum steer, which gives install them quick - is indicating that the question is a problem of permission of the files in / tmp, when it is not really!

The only thing I can think is that it uses sysconfig content to add the name of host or domain, the file name, he tries to put in / tmp.

    hope this helps
