  • Impossible to extract to the directory Temp (error EX11 for InDesign CC)

    Good afternoon

I bought the subscription for the following Creative cloud, for use on my Windows 7 PC.  All programs downloaded and installed fine, with the exception of InDesign.  I get the error "failed to install - cannot retrieve to the temp directory.  Please contact customer support (EX11). »

Any assistance that could be provided, as quickly as possible, would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance!

I fix this error by looking in the other forums.

Apparently, there is a bug where if your Windows account name is longer than 12 characters, you can not install InDesign.  My administrator account name is 13 characters.  I created a second administrator account with the name 'test' and I could then install InDesign without any problem.

I hope that others who have the same problem I found this to be useful.

Appreciate your help and your support!

There is a small blue link at the bottom right that says "options." Click on this and go to a folder where you want the files to go. It is probably configured to save temporary files in a location that is not available, IE. a flah drive, separate disk drive, etc. For best results when choosing a temporary storage location, choose a folder on your hard disk on a partition that has at least 5 GB of available disk space.

  • Unable to run files in the temporary directory. The abandoned Installer. Error 5: Access is denied.

    Hello

Why I can't install some files simply by clicking on the corresponding file, as I used to do before? I discovered that I can now install some files, right click on the file and choosing the "Run as Administrator" option, but is it really necessary if I'm already the admin and tries to install the file of my own user account (i.e. administartor)? I went to http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/ and run the file MicrosoftFixit.ProgramInstallUninstall.FISC (.) but it would not solve the issue. What can I do about it then? I want to install a file simply by clicking on it and do not choose "run as Administrator" in the right menu of my mouse...
Looking forward to your kind response,
    Arvis

I tried these steps and it helped:

    1. Go to C:\ directory users\ [username]-local appdata\
    2. Find the temp folder and right click on it
    3. Click on properties and go to the Security tab
    4. Click everyone, and then change
    5. check full control and I hope that this solves your problem
  • FATAL ERROR: Cannot access the temporary directory for remote package "detached.pkl".

have already removed all the components of the registry associated with this application, I want to make it work with some programs

In my view, it is over 2 years old, but I just had the same ERROR FATAL happen on my departure upward and found that a power cable to one of my extra hard drives has been disconnected. I was redirecting my temporary files to a G: drive to save space on my SSD boot drive. After that I reconnected it to power, everything was good.

I received the error message when you try to install ac3filter_1_63b or AC3Filter.

I use a Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2. The processor is AMD Athlon (TM) 64 X 2 Dual Core processor 4400 + 2.31 GHz. Is memory 2,00 GB, and the type of system is a 34-bit operating system.

I've tried right-clicking on the icon of configuration and running it as administrator but the same problem occurs. I also restarted my computer many times for nothing doesn't.

What should I do to fix this error? If we need more information on my computer that I will quickly submit.

    Hi Totbehfar,

It seems that AC3filter is not compatible with Windows Vista by looking in the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/Search.aspx?type=Software&s=AC3Filter

However, this error may also be due:

    i. due to a malware/spyware infection.
II. or if there are remnants of previously uninstalled of programs in the registry

I suggest you use the Windows clean up utility and remove all entries of all unused/uninstalled programs remains.

    1. visit the following link to download the cleanup utility: http://download.microsoft.com/download/E/9/D/E9D80355-7AB4-45B8-80E8-983A48D5E1BD/msicuu2.exe

    2. save the file on the computer.

    3. install this tool on the computer.

    4. click on start-> (all the) programs-> Windows Installer Clean Up.

    5. see if you can find all unused/uninstalled programs in the list. If so, remove them.

    6. restart the computer.

    7. analyze the computer using Antivirus software because this problem can occur if the computer is infected. You can do a scan of PC security by clicking on the link http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm and clicking on the analysis of a complete Service and accept the agreement.

    8. install the software and check if that helps.
