chip burned wireless

Reg: Pavilion p7-1120

Serial number: {personal info deleted}

Product number: QP777AA

Warranty status: expired

Contract status: expired

This was purchased new. I've never used the wireless feature. I recently changed my ISP & projected computer blue and was not restart in safe mode.

I took it to a computer retail store. They opened the office computer system unit. And found that the chip wireless cables were burned. I have been informed by retail technology that he had never seen it in its 10 + years of work. For me, I learned that the system could have started on fire.

I kept the chip and the small cable connecting to it.

I can't understand how to report a problem when I'm out of warranty HP should know about!

  • Where is the wireless card

Hi, thanks for taking the time to read my post.

I'm trying to fix my friends computer laptop. Wireless sound does not work. I am wanting to reinstall the wireless card... I can't find it.

    The model is a dv9010ca

I think I see it, but I will not remove anything until I know. There are 3 panels that you can take off at the back. I have the left panel and the central Board off if the bottom is upwards and the CD/DVD is right. I think the card is under the central panel. I see a number of barcode on it 407159-001 and 7F06A4 Rev: 0d there are two cables running; the main and auxiliary voltage

    Thanks again for your time.

    Brad

    Hi, Brad:

Unfortunately, dv6000/dv9000 models have been full of motherboard problems mainly related to overheating. These questions generally affected the graphics chip and wireless networking. The warmth wrecked either connector mini-pcie to the wireless card, or if you're lucky, only overheating of the WLAN card and burned it, which as you can see, is an easy replacement.

You can go the less expensive route, which is to question number part of this wireless card on ebay and pick up an opportunity, but tested and functional. It can run your friend around $10-$15.

Part # is part of digit dash number card 3 of 6 digits you see on a sticker on the map. Normally, also says "replace with HP spare on it."

If you go this route, and that the card is still not discovered, the slot is burned and your friend will have to either a USB wireless adapter or a new laptop. Replace the motherboard on this PC in my opinion, is throwing good money after bad. The same thing will happen again anywhere.

  • Intel PRO/wireless 3945 users - Vista and SP1

    Hello

is anyone having problems with the Intel PRO/wireless 3945 on VISTA? It worked fine with the embedded version of VISTA RTM but that Microsoft has published patches and updates, my machine became unstable.

Symptoms are accidents when entering the mode "Eve" (the screen goes black, HD does not stop and finally dreams of fan up to max Fourny..) and the system freezes when the wireless LAN is disabled with the switch HW or FlashCards.

The problem is very acute with VISTA SP1, and I had to disable the driver. I'm sure that this driver is the issue that I reinstalled VISTA using recovery before you apply the latest service pack 1 (RC Refresh) last week.

If you use this chip Vista wireless problem, please post your experience and advice if you have auto update in MS patches, especially the KB related to the performance of materials (KB941649 and USB KB941600 etc.)

    Hello

It is an Intel WLan card. So try to use the Intel WLan driver on Intel page.
From time to time Intel provides new updates of pilot and mainly the WiFi problems should be solved after an update of the WLan driver.

  • Spectrum of HP x 360: connection Bluetooth HP spectrum x 360 with headphones Bose QC 35 problem

    Hello

I have a HP x 360-13 - 4070nz (ENERGY STAR) spectrum and I just bought a headset Bluetooth of Bose, the new Bose QC 35. The headset works like a charm, any 10 Windows PC I tried (XPS13 Dell, Lenovo Yoga) and with my Nexus Android 5 X. However, I have a blocking problem if I use it with the spectrum of x 360.

Pairing of works, even if I had to repeat the process several times. Once paired, listen to music works for the most well - in stereo mode.
The problem is when I try to make a call. The problem is the same with any program, Skype, Skype For Business, overview of Skype or my Softphone (Bria). I can hear the consideration, but they cannot hear a really static noise. I tried an echo / service test sound with Skype and the recorded sound is exactly as my counterpart described. I can save and attach if you wish.
I've updated all the drivers, sound card, Bluetooth, BIOS, I've updated Windows 10 anniversary Windows 10 update, and I updated the 1.0.3 to 1.06 QC35. Nothing helps. I tried the configuration setting possible, remove the Bluetooth device, added again etc. Always static noise.

It is clearly a problem with the spectrum x 360, and as I know that this model had several other Bluetooth issued before. So my question to HP: could you please look into it and update the drivers to support the Bose QC35, which is a market success?

    Thank you and best regards

    Update:

HP support has been studied on my computer. It is hardware related. HP sent me the new chip Intel Wireless (combining Wifi and Bluetooth). I had to open the laptop and replace the chip on the motherboard.  This procedure unfortunetely has not resolved the .

There is nothing I can do without sending the laptop for repairs.

As an alternative, HP recommends purchasing a USB Bluetooth key / dongle.

I don't know yet if I'll send it repair. It's a phone that I sue for work and I can just live without it for several weeks.

    So I gues no QC35

  • Satellite Pro C650 - motherboard is dead

    Hello

    1 post but here goes.
Owner of the Satellite Pro C650 for a year now and a wek he just started to smoke and then went away.
I checked with my warranty & expired on September 30.

Now my problem is that I can't find info on the motherboard that is inside.
I did not open or anything, but if you put chips of RAM you can clearly see a little square chip burned.
So I would ask is this a common fault.

As the model number of mobo so maybe I could get a replacement.

    Think that's it
    Thanks for any answers

    Hello

    > I checked with my warranty & expired on September 30.

It's really a bad luck he damage of s that your guarantee missed just before the death of the motherboard.
It sounds like an overheating problem
What to say in your case, the motherboard needs to be replaced and a new party could be ordered from Toshiba ASP in your country.
New motherboard is expensive, but it s one of the computer laptop expensive pieces next to the portable computer s display so do not know if it s replace the motherboard in your case is worth

However, you can request the ASP technician an opinion perhaps you could get a second hand part

  • Problem of warranty with Satellite L450D-11V

    Hello.

I just need some advice here.
I own a Toshiba Satellite L450D-11V with a years warranty. I bought it in the city of Belfast in the United Kingdom.
So that travel in Asia one of my Ram chips burn for some reason, and when I arrived in Australia, I had to get it replaced.
Now the chip grilled while the laptop was under warranty, but at the time where I got to the shop in Australia, it was a month after the expiration of the warranty.
It cost me a cool $ 194.00 to get a new chip in it as I understand, it was a Toshiba registered shop.

Basically, I want to know who do I contact about this because I kept the broken part and any reception and relieved of taxes for the expenses.
I understand it has been repaired after expiration of the warranty and so I am not able to get help, but I'm being honest when I say that it happened before hand and I'm pretty sure there's a way to check when it is grilled.
If anyone can point me in the right direction or give me some advice, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks for your help

    Marty

  • Question on change of operating system on Satellite L40

How can I change OS to Toshiba Satellite L40-139 from Vista to XP?

[Edited by: admin on October 1st, 2007 20:12]

    > now, I'm a little stuck. I don't see any other driver available for this chipset on the Intel, other than the chipset driver itself site.

The audio driver or WLan driver can be downloaded and installed from the device manufacturer's Web site. Check out what his chip and wireless network card is installed in the laptop and download the driver compatible. You can use a freeware like Everest for example hardware diagnostic tool to get information about the material.

    Hello

What is it? Your machine supports only the cards wireless on the manual next (page 6):

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03015537.PDF

It was built before 2015, so a chance to have a different wirless card is very slim. Does not work.

    Kind regards.

    Hello:

Have you tried either directly on Intel?

Download, unzip and run the setup.exe file.

  • Aspire 4741g - tips of the purchase/replacement replacement motherboard

    As the title suggests.

My machine has overheated and recently the GPU is abandoned. Either the chip burned or more probably comes off a board due to bad soldering (had the same problem on an HP machine), either way I pulled out and plans to replace the Council.

My question is about replacement cards that you buy, and if they come with GPU/CPU ready to go. Also, if there is anything I need to the former Council to proceed with the installation - I know already using a fresh battery of the BIOS to save time by opening the machine again if the battery died. What is more than likely!

    Thank you

    Hello Aspire4741g,

Below is the part number of motherboad for Aspire 4741 G (with the Nvidia GPU already):

    N11PGE: N11P - GE1---> NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M

  • HP DV6-7080eb: the upgrade HP DV6 - 7080eb 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz

I am presently got an Intel Centrino WIreless - N 2330 in my HP DV6-7080eb chip. I would like to upgrade to 5 GHz and I wonder what that forge chip is compatible with my system.

There is no card dual band compatible, I'm sorry to say. Your laptop has BIOS dreaded "whitelist" that blocks the installation of all but a handful of wifi cards. It's the list and you MUST use a card with a HP part number, not just the good chipset:

    Atheros WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 adapter and 1 × 1 9485GN 3012 655795-001

    Atheros 802.11b/g/n adapter Bluetooth 675794-001 1 × 1 WB225

    Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 20702 4.0 Combo Adapter 657325-001 1 × 1

    Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 WLAN 670691-001

Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 WiFi and 2070 Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR Combo Adapter (BT3.0 + HS loan) to be used on the models of computer with a processor AMD to Brazil 600370-201

Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 WLAN to be used on the computer with a processor Intel to the 670290-001 Japan models

Do not know how you have the chip Intel Wireless - N 2330 works in yours, but who is probably the best you can do.

The Advanced-N 6230 is wrong. The reference number given is incorrect and it's really a single band Ralink card. Don't think that you are the first person to ask, or that we have not fully explored here in the Forum. I'm sorry.

  • The upgrade of the chip Satellite Z830 - 11 H for WiDi wireless

    Hello

im going to upgrade my wireless chip in Z830 - 11 H (pt22le) to allow intel WiDi. Before ordering a new chip, I would get a certainty that the Intel chips that support the WiDi are supported by my system? Right now I have Atheros AR9002WB-1NG, which also works fine, except missing widi, and im just tired of not being able to use it because my LG TV supports!

So please help me! Which one of these cards can I use?

    http://www.Intel.com/content/www/us/en/wireless-products/wireless-product-selection-guide.html

I'd rather have one of the newer models, but that never works will do.

Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to help me!

As far as I know as these updates is not supported, so I think t everyone here will be able to help you to the right information. I mean, this information can be offered by Toshiba service if they know.

As you probably know hardware upgrade is very limited and except the RAM or HARD drive another hardware upgrade on mobile gear type is not supported.

  • Satellite Pro A10 PSA15e - no more wireless Chip

Hi all, I'm new to the forum so please be gentle with me!

I was recently given a Toshiba Satellite Pro A10 (PSA15e-01PJY-EN), unfortunately I did not to any recovery disks! (if someone could send me a copy of the diskette of recovery for this machine, I'd be over the Moon!)

However, I recently tried to install windows xp home with the disc and used the key on the bottom of the laptop.
Installation ran ok, but all of a sudden, he cannot see the port intel LAN.

I ran the likes of Belarc, Device Manager and AIDA... all of a sudden since formatting, nothing can detect the WiFi chip, is this a problem with the fact that I do not use the recovery discs?

I've not disabled in the BIOS, nor can I actually see it in the BIOS.

    Someone at - it suggestions?

    Thank you very much

    J

When you install the operating system using Microsoft facilities CD you naked of OS and you must install drivers for each component material, including the wireless network card.

All drivers and Toshiba tools that you can download at Toshiba support and download page.
I think that you will also find the document entitled instructions for Installations. You'll find order exact facilities. Following this command, you can perfectly configure and install everything on your laptop.

  • Dysfunctions of the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 Nano transceiver... Burned my hand and melted!

So this is the second of these that I had and both have experienced the same problem. They work great for a while (a while being a coupe of weeks) and then one day the computer just indicates that Windows does not recognize the device and it malfunctioned. Then, when I go to take the nano transceiver it burns my hand and blends almost. Please, someone tell me I can buy the nano transceiver separately. I now have two of them (well, Microsoft has replaced the first) and none works. I think that Microsoft won't keep replacing the entire unit for me, because they didn't need to send me the old one first. I would like to just buy some transceivers so that I can keep 'in stock' so to speak when they go wrong (if all goes well they won't be). It is a great mouse, it's just the transmitter/receiver that needs work. Thanks for any help!

Transceivers are not sold separately therefore communicate with Microsoft and explain the problem.

At the time of the first wired mouse for Internet Explorer, I got about 4 replaced at different times and never had to send it back.  I guess that the questions were grouped because finally they worked just, in fact two still work fine on the server PC that are average close to go wireless.

Just be careful and don't ignite or burn.   I would add that I have the mouse BlueTrack Explorer on my desktop that works wonders and the Mini version on my netbook.  Both were perfectly executed.  I like the full size version because its rechargeable (when I remember to "anchor") so no more batteries wear out.
