Cinema display 30 '' yellow tint

I am the owner of a Mac Pro 3.7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5 with AMD over-pants D300 2048 MB

I connected two monitor one's cinema display 30 '' and it has a yellow tint all around, what can be the problem?

Anyone has a setting to make it better?

do anyone know how much it cost to repair? If I have to fix it?

Thank you!

Marco

It looks like the screen showing his old age. If it's a hardware problem, it is not that you can do. If it can be repaired, the cost will be probably difficult to justify towards a new view.

In this case on certain areas of the screen, but not the others, as I understand it he does, it is unlikely to be something in the software.

Everyone has noticed that 7 iPhone screen is actually not as bright as the iPhone 6? What is a defective unit? I thought it was supposed to be 25% more luminous. She seems to have a cooler for her yellow tint when it is next. White is certainly not as bright compared to the 6 s. I turned off brightness auto and them two on high.  Some forums suggested to do a reset of all parameters and that did not help. I am very disappointed of the brightness.

    Hello charef,.

Thanks for this info and choosing the communities Support from Apple. I know how important by ensuring that your display on your new iPhone 7 works correctly is for you! From what you said, it seems that have enabled, the feature of night shift so I would check on two devices first.

  • Display the yellow iPhone 7

The display on my iPhone 7 has a yellow tint.  As for the phones in the store and nothing like under the name "gorgeous" as the colors on my iPhone 6.  There is a filter that you can apply to "solve" the problem, but it tarnishes the colors compared to my iPhone 6.  There is no need to have a wider range of colors, if it is not able to produce a pure white!

Anyone know if this problem is improving over time (perhaps with exposure to ultraviolet rays)?

If this is not resolved by next weekend (7 days), I take it for a refund (ie. downgrade to a best iPhone 6).

Have you checked if, by chance, 'Night Shift' is enabled? This setting will make the screen more yellowish.

Slide up the control center and check the settings.

Did you also check the brightness setting?

  • Satellite Pro L300 - external monitor has a yellow tint to the screen

I have connected a new external monitor to my Sat Pro L300 and the monitor of the station has a strong tinge of yellow to the display.
I have tried with other monitors and cables and they do the same screen that is yellow.

Can anyone suggest what I can do, I tried to change all the color settings, but they don't get rid of the yellow tint.
    Thank you.

Well, maybe this problem is related to the failure of hardware since will have to show common colors without changing the settings in the color settings in the graphics card Control Panel

In my opinion this s hardware problem
However, before I ask a technician for advice I recommend updated the BIOS and reinstall the graphics driver.

  • Yoga 13 yellow tint

    Hey guys,.

I had my 13 Yoga yesterday and it concerns me greatly. The screen has a very strong yellow tint. Not as if there is something really wrong with it, as if it has a color temperature very warm like an old CRT to low or of the first generation LCD. I managed to get back to where it should be for the most part by fiddling with the development of color settings in the Intel HD graphics driver, but I'm still not completely happy with it.

I'm sure that the display unit in the store where I bought the machine wasn't like that (even if I'm wrong), unfortunately it is 2 hours by car and he was literally the last machine they had in stock, so I can't come back just to check.

Is this a known problem with these machines? Or have I missed some calibration tool?

    Hello

Well I feel a little embarrassed now. I use a program called 'Flow' that plunges the temperature of the screen during the night, and which seems to have produced, it is that he was not turning to the correctly when I said, I assume that it is just a bug with Windows 8, as I used it without a problem on 2 different machines to Windows 7 for almost 2 years without problem.

Thank you for the response quick and look forward to many years of use of this machine! Seems a great machine no doubt the height of expectations so far.

  • Former Cinema Display, newish MacBook Pro work?

I have an old Apple Cinema Display Monitor (2003) which includes a cord where it receives power, USB and DVI video. He has been connected to a G4 tower forever. Now, I have a MacBook Pro newish (2013) which was love at first sight. I can hang it up the screen? This adapter they do? What is it? I thought it would be just a shot of lightning/DVI, but it's not. Lightning/DVI should operate. DVI should be the same for any enabled DVI monitor made in the last 15 years, simply check the adapter type, there were several arrangements of unique PIN to DVI connectors over the years.

  • Can I use a LED Cinema Display of pre-2009 with a new MacBook Pro retina?

    Hello

I am currently using a pre-2009 LED Cinema Display with a MacBook Air from mid-2011.

Now, I want to replace my old MacBook Air with a brand new MacBook Pro 13 "retina.

This combination works always and, above all, the Cinema Display Monitor will be able to manage the resolution of the retina?

I have never seen anything in the resolution of the retina on the screen of cinema in 7 years, so I wonder if he can really handle.

    Thanks for any help.

The Cinema Display isn't a Retina display, so it will not show HiDPI resolutions. But it will work fine with your new machine.

  • Dual Cinema Display get dim

As it has a mind of its own!

It's already happened, but I have no ideal how to solve this problem.

    Help!

    Hi Rubalcava Boan,

Thank you for using communities to Apple Support and for details on your screen. I understand that one of your displays will dim on its own and you want to avoid that from happening.

The first thing you want to do is check your set display using section below.

If everything is configured correctly, the next step that I recommend is to try changing the cables or test with different cables to ensure that there aren't any problems with your cable. If you have any other Mac that you can test on who can also help determine if there is a hardware problem.

If you're still having problems after performing these steps, the next thing that you can try resets your MSC. Reset it will not erase your personal data, it resets just a few hardware settings the steps for this are easy.

Reset the SMC on Mac desktops

Follow these steps for iMac, Mac mini, Mac Pro and Xserve.

    1. Stop the Mac.
    2. Unplug the power cord.
    3. Wait 15 seconds.
    4. Reconnect the power cord.
    5. Wait 5 seconds, then press the power button to turn on the Mac.

Alternatively, you can take a glance at this article for a list full of what the covers of SMC reset.

  • Can I connect a Macbook from 12 "to my old Apple Cinema Display 30 ''?

I have a new 12 "MacBook that I cannot connect to my Thunderbolt display, but was hoping to connect it to my old Apple Cinema Display 30". So far, no luck, don't just wanted to ask if it was a popular race of crazy or maybe I was doing something wrong.

The 30 "Cinema Display has a DVI port out, and so far I used it successfully with an old MacBook Air via an Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter.

Then I thought, 'I'll buy a USB - C for the Mini DisplayPort adapter!' thinking that I would be able to link 12 '' MacBook with USB - C to Mini DisplayPort adapter Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter to Apple Cinema Display 30 ''.

It does not work. I tried two different USB - C for the Mini DisplayPort adapters and two different Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter, without success.

If this work, or is it doomed to failure? And if it should work, what can I do better?

    Thank you

    Alan

A single adapter would be the best bet. If you can find a C - USB to DVI, maybe that would work, assuming that the Cinema display does not use a DVI port updated the. Here is a sample of the Amazon.

I have an old 30 "Cinema Display that I bought new, I like it. It works perfectly, no problems at all. I also recently just bought an iMac 21.5 "(fin 2015) i7 which has only 2 connections thunderbolt." I have a dual link DVI to mini display adapter, but it does not work with this configuration. • Try to connect 2007 Apple Cinema Display to the retina of MacBook Pro

I'm trying to connect my MacBook Pro retina 2015 to my old Apple Cinema Display 2007. Apple recommended the purchase of the Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI. I connected everything except directly from monitor adding firewire cable.

I can see the image of the bottom of my laptop, but it is. No feature and not an imitator of my laptop. I'm not 'super tech savvy' but need help. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Looks like you have the display as extended desktop configuration. With this the second screen is like an extension of the first screen. For the use of several screens, see:

OS X El Capitan: connect multiple monitors to your Mac

It is similar to the other versions of OSX

The screen has FireWire ports, but to use them, plug the FireWire to your Mac. Unless your Mac has two Thunderbolt ports do not use FW via a bolt of lightning > adopter FW

< personal information under the direction of the host >

    I'll say no.

It is the first LED cinema Display, if NOT a retina display.

The screen, itself, will not be a 'net '.

A more powerful GPU/chip will give you more VRAM to push pixels faster and perhaps give you some additional screen resolutions, but that does not translate to a clearer and sharper display.

It's technology in the screen that determines that.

If you are not satisfied with your Mac screen longer, you will need to find a "most recent" view, not Apple that is using port mini display of Apple or find a higher resolution or a better display technology that uses your Mac Pro DVI connection.

    Good luck!
