There is no option in Cisco ACS 4.1 Solution where we can specify the option that "user must change password on the next logon" as it used to be in Cisco ACS 3.X ".

Is it possible same functionality can be enabled on Cisco ACS 4.1

I can't know what process is sending this e-mail. Someone at - it indexes?

Change the defintion of e-mail not to include an e-mail address to send from. Or rename the definition of e-mail. It could be a setting in the configuration of the system as well.

  • Cisco ACS restrict a user to specific routers

    Hello

We have ACS v3.2 in our network, I created a new user and added to a group, is it possible in this group to specify what routers / switches to the user is able to telnet, with some sort of ACL or something? I read something on:

    Filter access network (NAF)

which is available in 4.0, should I upgrade to be able to do this?

I tried to put a group defined Network Access Restrictions, but this seems to be what network you are telenting from?

Sorry, please have patience, I'm new on ACS

    Thank you!

    Hello

I use ACS v4.2 so don't know if you'll get the same features, but you can select the NDG your routers reside in slot per group defined Network Access Restrictions > drop-down list AAA Client? If so simply select each NDG, you want this group to have access to the break-in * in the Port and * address. This will allow any IP address telnet/ssh power for devices in each NDG you enter.

If you wish you can control the IP addresses that access your routers by placing an access on each router list (stops messing around with that stuff, if you're not familiar with it).

    I hope this helps...

  • Cisco ACS user password change?

    Hi all

Even if I don't check "Change Enable by PEAP password" setting on Cisco ACS, when a user tries to log on to the wireless network, whose domain password is going to expire, receives a popup on Windows XP, saying that their password is about to expire?

    Is this normal?

    PS: Check the screenshot attached.

ACS is not able to send these messages for wireless users.

    He sends the AD.

  • Create user profile issues

A bit of history - this adventure began when I tried to correct corrupt (or something) the Notification area icons.  I found the fix for the registry (TrayNotify) and that fixes everything except the network icon.  I went to the solution a corrupted user profile (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix-corrupted-user-profile#1TC=windows-7).

The problem here is that the C:\Users\New_Username file does not exist until I disconnect and connect to the new account.  After logging in to the new account, I see that the C:\Users\New_Username folder is full even though I have not (yet) to copy all the files.  It seems that the account made official win 7 comments.

I tried to delete the files and folders in C:\Users\New_Username and write down them.  Problem is that the new account opens with this error "You have been connected with a temporary profile".

Can you help me to create the new user profile?

Oh, BTW, it "seems" problem Notification area icons began after an infection by the virus that has been corrected to messed.  I'm not positive the malware has caused the problem, but it might have.

    Thank you all,

    Terry

Reply to my message?  In any case, I was able to create the new user account and log on without the dreaded «...» Temporary caveat... ».  It is from my files copied to the new account.  I want to copy my office but failed on the first two attempts.

Not sure yet of my Outlook e-mail, etc..

Find the registry for the user profiles change seems to have helped.  I deleted a .bak profile and the other.

Oh, Yes, the Notification area responds correctly in the new user account. :)

  • Cisco ACS 5.2 with NX - OS (Nexus) devices user - questions

Hey, I have a really strange problem with Cisco ACS 5.2 and Nexus NX - OS devices.

I create an account on ACS, let's call him User1 and give privilege 15. With User1, I am able to access on all our IOS, IOS - XE, ASA and PIX devices with privilege 15.

When I use the User1 account in our NEXUS devices, I do NOT receive the access privilege 15. As you probably know, the NEXUS devices have roles: predefined or custom roles. So I assumed I would get the role of "network-admin" (15 private read/write) User1 when you connect, but instead I got the role of 'vdc-operator' (private 1 read-only).

Then I tried to twist User1 and give network-admin under profile Shell > Custom Attributes. I logged in the NEXUS and of course I was able to get a network-admin access. However, my access to ALL other devices (IOS, ASA, PIX, etc.) does NOT work! I am not even able to connect with my login and my password for these devices.

Has anyone ever experience this problem? Help, please!

    Thank you

    neocec

This is a common problem when you mix with RBAC and IOS devices authorization policies, the pair av that you created must be set 'optional' instead of 'compulsory', please make this change and you will be able to access all your devices.

    Thank you

  • Windows continues to change user profile folder

    Hi all

I'm facing a real headache. My computer continues to change user profiles folder every restart 2 or 3. For example, my user name is MSF\Bob. The user profile folder has been C:\Document & Settings\Bob. After a restart, Windows create a C:\Document & Settings\Bob.MSF then Bob.MSF.000 and Bob.MSF.001 folder and so on.

Someone has an idea why this is happening and how I can prevent this?

I thank very you much in advance!

    Best regards

Easy question to answer.  You simply have a corrupted profile.

When Windows detects a corrupted profile, it automatically generates a temporary with names profile as you describe.  Usually, these profiles are deleted when you connect your computer turned off, but not always.  The solution is quite simple.  You just need to recover your corrupt profile.   There are two general approaches.  One is to do a system restore to a point in time before the profile was first damaged.  The other usually involves the creation of a new user and moving profile data on to the new user (you may reset some of your settings).  To do this, choose one of the following articles and follow through:

"How to recover damaged Windows XP user profile"

"How to copy data from a corrupted to a new profile in Windows XP user profile"

"Windows XP problems if your profile is corrupted"

PS: Corrupt profiles are almost always accompanied by alteration of the disc as well.  After your recovery, perform a check disk (chkdsk) with the "/ R" or "/ F" option

    This is an administrator account?
You cannot change the name of the user profile to the location of the file. But instead of this, you can create a new user account and then transfer data from user profile (Ali Campbell of THEDIAMONDMINE\Mrs) for the new account and can set the new user profile name. You can see the following link.
