Cisco ASA, RDP plugin authentication

I installed an ASA 5505 (8.0.3) with WEBVPN. I managed to do all this work with SSO (Single Sign On) with the exception of the rdp session terminal. OWA, sharepoint, filebrowsing, SSO is no problem, but I don't seem to make it work with RDP. Somehow it does not translate the rdp session variables. I use CSCO_WEBVPN_USERNAME and CSCO_WEBVPN_PASSORD, but they appear just like that in the name of user and password field. Is it possible to do SSO works for RDP?

Ofwegen, just to let you know that I do not use a server single signon, auto just signon, and I got it works with the rdp plugin by editing the bookmarks to have the "csco_sso = 1" option in there:

RDP://myterminalserver/?csco_sso=1

This works for RDP and ICA plugins.

  • Cisco ASA 5505 VPN Site to Site

    Hi all

    First post on the forums. I have worked with Cisco ASA 5505 for a few months and I recently bought a 2nd ASA to implement tunnel VPN Site to Site. It seems so simple in the number of videos watched on the internet. But when I did he surprise it did work for me... I've removed the tunnels, a number of times and tried to recreate. I use the VPN Wizard in the SMA to create the tunnel. Both the asa 5505 of are and have the same firmware even etc..

    I'd appreciate any help that can be directed to this problem please.  Slowly losing my mind

    There are some clear problems I see on a quick glance. These are not related to the actual VPN configuration but rather the NAT configurations.

    All your configuration of NAT CLI format above are configured as manual NAT / double NAT in Section 1. This means that the appliance NAT configurations have been added to the same section of the NAT configurations and scheduling of the NAT inside this Section rules is the cause of the problem for the L2L VPN connection for some.

    Here are a few suggestions on what to change

    ASA1

    Minimal changes

    That means foregoing is first of all create 'object' that contain the local LAN and remote LANs. Then, it creates a NAT0 rule and adds to the top rules NAT. (number 1). It is essentially of at least one of the problems preventing the VPN operation or traffic that cross.

    Finally, we remove the old rule that generated the ASDM. It would do the same thing if it has been moved to the top, but I generally find the creation of the 'object' with descriptive names easier on the eyes in the long term.

    Other suggestions

    These changes are not necessary with regard to the VPN L2L. Here are some suggestions how to clean a part of NAT configurations.

    PAT-SOURCE network object-group

Then we remove the old PAT dynamic configurations.

    Contains the command "nat" "car after" because it moving this "nat" configuration to the bottom of the NAT rules. For this reason its less likely to cause problems in the future.

To my knowledge the old configuration that remove us is not used because the traffic would have matched PAT rule dynamic server yet rather than this rule which is later in the NAT configurations and would not be addressed.

    I suggest trying the changes related to VPN L2L first NAT0 configurations and test traffic. So who gets the work of connectivity, then you could consider changing other NAT configurations. There are other things that could be changed also in what concerns THAT static NAT servers but that probably better left for another time.

    On your config, you have all these commands but on your VPN config, you mix ikev1 and ikev2. You have also defined political different ikev2. Just do a bit of cleaning and reached agreement on a 1 strategy for the two site (encryption, hash,...)

    The static route that you configured for Internet access needs to be corrected:

    route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.48 1

    The next hop address must be the IP address of your ISP gateway and not the ASA outside IP of the interface. Currently, both are set to 192.168.1.48.

    How to disable the connection to my cisco asa 5520 using only activate password via asdm? I like to asdm connection using the user name and password. TIA!

     aaa authentication http console LOCAL

    .. .will be force users accessing to ASDM (which uses transport http (s)) to be authenticated on the LOCAL database.

    You can also specify another list of defined authentication method, such as RADIUS, RADIUS or AD. (Although t wew love to leave a LOCAL method on the spot, in which case your external authentication server is not available.)

    There is no DMVPN on the SAA. All that you have configured, is not compatible with the ASA or something another DMVPN then. At least debugging shows that there are some EzVPN involved.

    The debug version, it seems that there is no communication on UDP/500 possible between devices. Maybe something is blocking who?

  • AAA to circumvent the password to enable on the Cisco ASA

    Hi all. I'm having a problem where I get authenticated by the AAA server, but after authentication, that I am placed in user mode. AAA admin (I have no access to the AAA server) told me that he had all the users configured with priv level 15, which will lead them directly in the mode privilege on routers.

    Looks like you want to directly access the exec privileges mode. This feature is not supported by the ASA. This is only possible on IOS devices.

  • Site to Site VPN between Cisco ASA 5505 and Sonicwall TZ170

    I'm trying to implement a VPN site-to site between our data center and office.  The data center has a Cisco ASA 5505 and the Office has a Sonicwall TZ170.  I managed to configure the two so that the vpn connects.  Each of the firewall I ping the IP Address of the internet firewall on the other side and a desktop computer I can ping the IP Address of the firewall internal datacenter but I can't carry traffic between private subnets datacenter and desktop.  Can anyone help?

    Mattew, obvious lack of education is the rule exempt from nat for your tunnel, your access list pixtosw is similar on this example, I assume that you have gone through this link, if it does not see the configs on both sides.

    Add the statement of rule sheep in asa and try again.

  • Cisco ASA 8.4 (3) remote access VPN - client connects but cannot access inside the network

    I have problems to access the resources within the network when connecting with the Cisco VPN client for a version of 8.4 (3) operation of the IOS Cisco ASA 5510. I tried all new NAT 8.4 orders but cannot access the network interior. I can see traffic in newspapers when ping. I can only assume I have NAT evil or it's because the inside interface of the ASA is on the 24th of the same subnet as the network interior?   • Documentation for cisco asa ipsec l2tp / windows 7

    Hello

    I need to configure a few cisco asa 5510's for remote access VPN using l2tp ipsec.  One of the requirements is that no additional vpn clients to connect.  We only use the client included in Windows 7 x 86.  Is there documentation on configuration of this device or a clear statement by saying that it is not taken in charge or possible yet?

    GBA, we config user group: VPN users. all VPN users in this group. ACS can visit his political profile: If the user in the 'VPN users' group, access ACS.

    When we connect from a VPN Client to the server, all users connect to success. When you see the parser in ACS journal, each user success connect also get

    error:

    22040 wrong password or invalid shared secret

    (pls see picture to attach it)

    the system still works, but I don't know why, we get the error log.

    I think I've narrowed the issue. When remote access VPN using RADIUS authentication we must keep in mind that authentication and authorization are included on the same package.

    Depending on your configuration, the ACS is defined as a server RADIUS (Gserver Protocol radius aaa server) and becomes the VPN Tunnel authenticated and 'authorized' on this server group:

    authentication-server-group LOCAL Gserver

    authorization-server-group Gserver

    As noted above, the RADIUS of request/response includes authentication and authorization on the same package. This seems to be a problem of incorrect configuration that we should not set up the 'permission' in the Tunnel of the group.

    Please remove the authorization under the Tunnel of Group:

    No authorization-server-group Gserver

    Please test the connection again and check the logs of the ACS. At this point there are only sucessful newspaper reported on the side of the ACS.

    Is 'Permission-server-group' LDAP permission when authenticating to a LDAP server so to retrieve the attributes of permission on the server. RAY doesn't have the command as explained above.

  • Configuration of the Cisco ACS 5.3 AnyConnect VPN and management of a Cisco ASA 5500.

    We have configured a Cisco ASA 5505 as a VPN endpoint for one of our user groups.  It works, but it works too well.

    We have a group called XXX we need to have access to the Cisco AnyConnect Client.  We have selected this group of our Active Directory and added to our ACS configuration.  We've also added a group called YYY that will manage the ASA. However, this group has no need to access the VPN.

    We added XXX movies for the elements of the policy of access to the network-> authorization profiles.  We also have a profile of YYY.

    She continues to knock on our default Service rule that says allow all.

    We have also created a default network access rule. for this.

    I am at a loss.  I'm sure I missed a checkbox or something.

    Any help would be really appreciated.

    We use Protocol Management GANYMEDE ASA and Ray for VPN access?

    For administration, you must change the device by default admin access strategy and create a permission policy. Even by the way, you can change the network access by default for vpn access and create a respective policy for that too.

    On the SAA, you must configure Ganymede and Ray both as a server group.

    For the administration, you can set Ganymede as an external authentication under orders aaa Server

    AAA-server protocol Ganymede GANYMEDE +.

    Console HTTP authentication AAA GANYMEDE

    Console Telnet AAA authentication RADIUS LOCAL

    authentication AAA ssh console LOCAL GANYMEDE

    For VPN, you must set the authentication radius under the tunnel-group.
