(Cisco IPSec) VPN on a Mac 1.6.6 where to start?
Hello
Has anyone of you be able to connect to a MAC BOOK pro with the build in VPN (IPsec Cisco's)?
Recently, I learned a little about the VPN connection and in the end, I was able to make a tunnel between my 2 routers of training C2611XM, but now, I would like to connect my computer from outside the House of my HAND CISCO 1841 ROUTER via a VPN tunnel.
Here below the SW and HW I have in the CISCO 1841:
NOTE: 1 Module of virtual private network (VPN), I think it's really VIRTUAL, the slot to put a VPN is always empty!

Hello
I just upgraded to macOS Sierra and built-in Cisco IPsec VPN no longer works. When you try to connect, I get a "cannot validate the certificate of the server. "Check your settings and try to reconnect" error message. I use Cisco ASA with self-signed certificates and everything worked fine with previous versions of OS X.
Please help me, I need my VPN Thx a lot
I am having the same problem with StrongSwan and help cert signed with the channel to complete certificates included in the pkcs12 file imported to the keychain. It was working properly in El Capitan, but now broken in the Sierra.

ASA Cisco IPSEC VPN tunnel has not managed the traffic
Hi guys
I am trying to set up a new connection IPSEC VPN between a Cisco ASA 5520 (verion 8.4 (4)) and Checkpoint Firewall. I managed to establish the phases IKE and IPSEC and I can see the tunnel is UP. But I can't see any traffic through the tunnel. I checked the cryptomap both ends and try to test with a contionuous ping from within the network of the SAA.
I made a screenshot of ICMP packets but cannot see in ASA. I welcomed the icmp inside ASA interface.
I did a package tracer and it ends with a fall of vpn - filter the packets. But can not see any configured filters...
Your help is very appreciated...
Thank you

Jabber of Cisco on Cisco ipsec VPN client
Hello
I wonder if anyone has had this problem. I am currently using the 9.2.3 J4W customer and when I use Jabber in my office, everything works fine. IM works very well and my incoming and outgoing calls work. The question I have is when I work from home on my personal wifi and customer VPN Cisco (version 5.0.07.0290) ipsec remote in my area that the instant messaging and presence features work fine however only outgoing calls work. With Jabber, I can dial any DN in my organization and a willingness to work. The only problem is when someone tries to call me, I'll never get an alert for the incoming call. However my ip back to my desk phone will be keep ringing and I'll see the voicemail and calls to jabber? For some reason any call does not make for me on my VPN session. I'm not sure of what could be the problem. Jabber has certain requirements on ipsec VPN to work? We use the ASA 5510 firewall and VPN endpoint.
Thank you

William,
We recently had this problem: one of my other network admins had to prosecute with TAC, their resolution is to add
a static NAT on our ASA for external source outside translation is your VPN network, destination is your VPN network.

Customer Cisco IPSec vpn cisco ios router <>==
Hello
I need to implement ipsec vpn for all users of 10-15. They all use the vpn cisco 5.x client and we have a router for cisco ios at the office. We already have a situation of work for these users. However, it has become a necessity which known only devices (laptops company) are allowed to install a virtual private network.
I think that the only way to achieve this is to use certificates. But we don't won't to buy certificates if there is a free way to implement. So my question is
(1) what are the options I have to configure vpn ipsec, where only known devices can properly configure a vpn and all unknown devices are blocked?
(2) if the certificate is the only way. Can I somehow produce these certificates myself using cisco router ios?
(3) someone at - it an example of a similar installation/configuration?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards
M.
Unfortunately if you connect to the router IOS, there is no other way except using the certificate. If you connect to a Cisco ASA firewall, then you can identify the laptop company using DAP (Dynamic Access Policy).

Cisco ipsec Vpn connects but cannot communicate with lan
I have a version of cisco 1921 15.2 (4) M3 I install vpn ipsec and may have customers to connect but cannot ping anything inside. A glimpse of what could be wrong with my config would be greatly appreciated. I posted the configuration as well as running a few outings of ipsec. I also tried with multiple operating systems using cisco vpn client and shrewsoft. I am able to connect to the other VPN ipsec running 1921 both of these computers by using a client.
Thanks for any assistance

RV180 and Cisco IPSec VPN client
Hi NetPro,
RV180 router supports VPN client using the regular Cisco VPN client connections?
Data sheet says it works with client QuickVPN. If the regular non-Quick client is not supported, both clients can coexist (= be installed simultaneously) on the same PC?
Is supported customer QuickVPN split tunneling?
Thank you!
Lubomir
Lubomir Hello,
The RV180 currently supports QuickVPN and PPTP VPN connections. It also has the IPSec tunnel as well, but it does not support the Cisco VPN client.
I saw a question have Cisco VPN and the QuickVPN installed on the same computer.
The QuickVPN client supports only split tunneling.
I hope that answers your questions.

Ipad Cisco ipsec VPN connects but not access to the local network
Hi guys,.
I am trying to connect our ipads to vpn to access network resources. IPSec cisco ipad connects but not lan access and cannot ping anything not even not the interfaces of the router.
If I configure the vpn from cisco on a laptop, it works perfectly, I can ping all and can access resources on the local network if my guess is that the traffic is not going in the tunnel vpn between ipad and desktop.
Cisco 877.
My config is attached.
Any ideas?
Thank you
Build-in iPad-client is not useful to your configuration.
You have three options:
(1) remove the ACL of your vpn group. Without split tunneling client will work.
2) migrate legacy config crypto-map style. Here, you can use split tunneling
3) migrate AnyConnect.
The root of the problem is that the iPad Gets the split tunneling-information. But instead of control with routing traffic should pass through the window / the tunnel and which traffic is allowed without the VPN of the iPad tries to build a set of SAs for each line in your split-tunnel-ACL. But with the model-virtual, SA only is allowed.

10.11.4 update broken native of Cisco IPSec VPN
All the mac in my company who improved to 10.11.4 now suffers the same problem with the lack of capacity VPN:
"The VPN server has failed. Please check the server address and try to reconnect. »
Nslookup shows the station cannot be resolved by the machine, but it will not meet demand vpn. Everything worked fine yesterday, the only change in the environment was updated last night.
In the dev forum search I see there was a bug specifically around this issue that had been "settled." Maybe this isn't the full case.
Same problem here!

Hello
I looked at the configuration of your router RT-897VA once again, and I don't know if static NAT statements in there are supposed to work or not, but they won't because you have not specified any inside and outside interfaces. Configuration changes below correspond to the configuration of your router RT, check if their implementation makes a difference (the changes are indicated in bold):

Cisco IPsec VPn via a BT router
Hi all
A customer comes to buy a Cisco UC520 and is eager to VPN in the system with its IP communicator, do you know what are the settings that I have to configure it to allow the VPN through the BT router?
Is this just a port before I need or is there some other parameters.
Thank you
Nathan
Hi Nathan
Do not have much with BT routers but what follows the document object should help
Ports for VPN traffic are udp 500, 4500 & 10000
It may be useful

Cisco IPSec VPN works only one way.
I'm hitting my head against the wall for more than 2 weeks now. I can't get this figured out.
We have 2 locations and a server with an Internet service provider. Currently, we are connecting to our Internet service provider via a vpn ipsec to our headquarters. later, we will add the 1 direction.
The problem is the following. My vpn is in place, I can ping my local ip address, my IP of the tunnel, the remote tunnel interface, the vlan remote or the gateway, but I can't ping anything you wanted. The branch to the ISP I ping the router in the Internet service provider's domain controller and the server very well. but I can't ping or talk about anything either at the Office on the side of the IAF. and so I can not communicate with any host on the LAN. Can someone please help me with this?
Can I unload the configs of the two routers here someone watching?
Thanks in advance.
Exemption from the NAT on the end server must include the following reject order:
NAT extended IP access list
5 deny ip 10.1.20.0 0.0.0.255 10.178.164.128 0.0.0.127
Disable the ip nat translation before testing again.

Has anyone this configured with the models in the phone and/or imported their own models? Is this even work?
It happened to be that I was testing with IKE authentication XAuth disable the tunnel group so I didn't have to type a user name and password each time. I decided to activate just to make more apples to apples for my group of main tunnel and put back it in the model. I also took some anti-replay when I was scouring the template that I downloaded here. I also tested it works with RSA authentication, where you put your PIN with the password and then when you want to connect simply add your id to token at the end.

Cisco RV220W IPSec VPN problem Local configuration for any config mode
Dear all,
I need help, I am currently evaluating RV220W for VPN usage but I'm stuck with the config somehow, it seems that there is a problem with the Mode-Config?
What needs to be changed or where is my fault?
I have installed IPSec according to the RV220W Administrator's Guide. Client's Mac with Mac Cisco IPSec VPN, I also tried NCP Secure Client.
I have 3 other sites where the config on my Mac works fine, but the Cisco VPN router is not.

Hi Mike, the built-in client for MAC does not work with the RV220W. The reason is, the MAC IPSec client is the same as the Cisco VPN 5.x client.
The reason that this is important is that the 5.x client work that on certain small business products include the SRP500 and SA500 series.
I would recommend that you search by using a client VPN as Greenbow or IPSecuritas.
