Citing the native SMS

Hi all

I developed a small application in blackberry jde 4.7. I invoke the native client SMS and I want my application to die after that I have to call the sms client. But when I click on send, the message is sent successfully and it takes me to the Inbox.

But after the if I hit the ESC key, nothing happens and crashes just the sms application.

I tried to hit the end button, and I struck my request once again. But in the debugger, I get the message that my application is already running.

I tried a work around and implemented outboundmessagelistener to close the application when the Send button send is reached.

But the problem is sometimes the listener is added successfully and sometimes not. I tried various autour works and even tried through a midlet (but which causes a problem different http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/Invoking-SMS-in-a-midlet/m-p/508823#M103011 ).

Is anyone have a work around? Thanks in advance.

Hello

I discovered a way to solve the problem. In the documentation, they gave as it will lift

the 'operation error cannot perform a client connection' if its open as a client connection. For example: the number. So I changed the way I gave below (and this becomes a connection to the server and no error )

MC MessageConnection = (MessageConnection)Connector.open("sms://:0");

But I wonder why this code did not produce any error in other d but 4.5. I also see something weird to 8300.

Thanks jCarty for helping me

  • Re: Tecra M5 - cannot use the native screen resolution of my external monito

    Hi, I have a Tecra M5 and just bought a BenQ G2220HD monitor. However, I can't display the native resolution of 1920 x 1080. I guess it's a problem with my video card.

    If so, can anyone please suggest what video card, I need to buy?

    Thank you

    Scott

    Hello!

    I checked the manual of your laptop (it can be downloaded from the Toshiba site) and it seems that the resolution 1920 x 1080 is not taken in charge.
    Here is the list of manual of the supported screen resolutions:
    640 x 480
    800 x 600
    1024 x 768
    1280 x 1024
    1600 x 1200
    1920 x 1440
    2048 x 1536

    I think that should answer your question ;)

    And as Akuma says the graphics card can t be exchanged because it s soldered onto the motherboard. In the area of the FAQ in the forum, I founded this interesting article:

    Why the same sms arrive at two different iphone5?

    SMS or iMessage?   If he were iMessage I guess you share your address Applid or email on 2 phones.  The sender uses one of these identities to send their message instead of your unique phone number.

  • Portege Z30 - A - 18 M - cannot set the native resolution on the external display

    Hello

    I tried to connect two different displays full HD to my Portege Z30 - A - 18 M and I was unable to set the native resolution - maximum resolution I can put for those is 1680 x 1050... I was not so surprised by the first that I had a few problems with a native resolution when I connect to the laptop computer Satellite I had before. But then the same thing happened when I tried the other view.

    I thought that this notebook can handle a higher resolution external... Is there a way to force the native resolution of the external display in Windows 7?
    Thank you!

    Just a question: have you plugged your Portege with HDMI cable and use only the HDMI option?
    With other words went from the desktop to the external display only computer?

    I don't have this machine, but I think you should be able to see the desktop on an external device to the HD full 1920 x 1080 resolution.

  • Someone has tested the native nVidia for Qosmio X 870 - F31X drivers

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba laptop for the past 5 years and are about to buy the QOSMIO X 870 - F31X.

    My only concern is the update of the display driver. For a mobile game, it's a huge concern. I am aware of the driver on the U.S. site:

    [Display driver X 870-BT2G23 Qosmio | http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=DL&os=&category=&moid=3380646& rpn = PSPLXU & modelFilter = X 870-BT2G23 & SelCategorie = 2756709 & selFamily = 804517]

    Still would like to know if anyone has tested the native nvidia drivers?

    This is certainly the decisive factor :(

    Thank you
    Renclav

    Native nVidia driver might be installed I have not test this, but for according to other threads in forum Qosmio X, this shouldn't be a big problem

  • Start the native application of the android app

    I need to do a task which is not allowed to make an android app. So I created a native app and I want to start this app for my android app. Is this possible?

    I found this question as soon as 2013 (https://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Android-Development/How-to-register-my-Android-app-as-Conten...), but it's 2 years old...

    I don't want to develop my entire application natively.

    Thks in adv

    It is possible to what you describe.  An Android application can invoke a native BlackBerry 10 application.  You can even create a headless BlackBerry 10 app that runs in the background (similar to a service on Android).  So the action can be executed without the user see the GUI of the native application.

    In addition, starting with native apps BlackBerry BlackBerry 10 10.3.2 can launch Android applications.  Here are a few links to help you get started on the side BlackBerry 10.

  • Citing the BlackBerry map using address to find

    I'm trying to find a code example for call BlackBerry address card. I checked the page http://developer.blackberry.com/native/documentation/cascades/device_platform/location/sharing_integ... , but I couldn't find a sample where the cards are called simply by giving the address busineess since the native application.

    Any help will be really appreciated...

    I have found the solution (I hope it will work for almost any situation)

    MapInvoker has a "searchText" property that is normally used with LocationMapInvoker or RouteMapInvoker to search for specific things like music or pizza after giving the coordinates (longitude and latitude). now without any parameters, just setting "searchText" with address and call LocationMapInvoker.go (), it will show the address of the card

  • Citing the calendar in day of the week (Mon, Mar, sea etc)...

    Hello

    How to invoke the native calendar to a specific day of the week, as Monday.

    If today is Monday call for Monday, if today of call Tuesday to next Monday, etc.

    You're right, official docs seems to be inaccurate, it must be:
    Action: "bb.calendar.OPEN."
    MIME: "text/calendar".
    Data : '? "view annex = & date = MON Jul 20% 2027% 202015.

    'view' application works and will actually view day but date of query does not work, although I respected the date format required in this doc:
    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/native/documentation/device_platform/invocation/calendar.html

    I tried with a few different date format but cannot make it work.

  • How to combine code C++ of Cascade with the native C code in a project?

    Purpose: Using C++ Cascade camera video sample with native C sensor log.

    and function by using Cascade C++ user interface with native C detection function.

    Problem: After putting code of Cascade C++ native code C, the library shows unresolved inclusion.

    Question: How do I combine code C++ of Cascade with the native C code in a project?

    Minimal code:

    #include
    #include

    #include 'printf.h.

    #include
    #include
    #include

    #include "hellovideocameraapp.hpp".

    to: bb::cascades:Application;

    int main (void) {app app (argc, argv);

    New HelloVideoCameraApp (&app);)

    Return app.exec ();

    printfhw();
    printf ("Hello new %d", hwnum);
    Return EXIT_SUCCESS;
    }

    You just add the header and call the function as you would normally call a C in C++ function.

    You will need to provide clarification as to what you are trying to accomplish.  In its current form it looks like you want to run C code in an application of cascades.  You are more that welcome to do so, there is nothing to stop you.

    Waterfalls of projects are default C++ projects.  You do not even need to use QML and can do everything straight c++.

    Cascades IS C++ and C and C++ get along very well, so the answer that was given to us.

    We cannot give exmamples because all you need to do is create a new project of cascades in the IDE and it will generate the default files for you who are C++.  Just add your headers and other whatnot and start coding.
